Cryptocurrency Trading / Which indicator do you look out for?
« on: April 24, 2024, 03:42:02 PM »
There are so many market indicators, and different traders have different things they pay attention to to determine the trend the market will take. Traders look out for these indicators before they place trades. As a trader, what has been your favorite indicator to look out for? and can you give a reason?

As advice, which indicator will you recommend to a new trader?

Already created on bitcointalk for opinions, sharing here also for the opinion of forum members here.

Many Nigerians like myself have often complained about the unregulated nature of prices in the market and some big superstores, where the sellers and owners fix prices at their discretion without consideration of the customers buying. Exchange rates have reduced, but there are still marketers who have refused reducing the prices of their goods as quickly as they were to increase it.

The Federal government through an agency that I just heard recently but have been founded since have started price control actions to make sure that marketers that are taking advantage of Nigerians are brought to book.

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) is the agency of government that has swung into action and closed down some supermarkets in the capital city for unfair prices.

Quote
The Federal Government on Thursday initiated sporadic enforcement raids at multiple supermarkets and markets within the Federal Capital Territory to ensure adherence to price display and quantity regulations, aiming to reduce the cost of food commodities nationwide.

It also said it would continue unannounced inspections at super and open markets in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, and Ibadan in the coming weeks to probe the abnormal price surges and take firm measures against any companies caught engaging in unfair market practices like price manipulation, excessive pricing, or cartel formation.

During the exercise that lasted several hours, the FCCPC sealed 4U Supermarket

What do you think? and how long will this agency be able to stay corruption free? Because it is not impossible for big supermarkets and stores to begin bribing the officials of this agency to allow them with their illegal prices.

Nigerian Languages / Sharing topics between Forums.
« on: April 19, 2024, 10:41:40 PM »
There are more Nigerians on Bitcointalk than in this forum, so it is possible that most Nigerians in this forum are from Bitcointalk, but not all Nigerians on bitcointalk are in this forum. For that reason there may be a need to share some important topics that we have started in this forum concerning Nigeria to also our brothers on Bitcointalk, but if a topic is started on Bitcointalk, there is a bigger chance that that topic has been seen by most Nigerians, so no need sharing here to avoid spamming and repeatitive answers. What do you think about this?

Nigerian Languages / When Binance returns, will you return back?
« on: April 19, 2024, 09:10:13 PM »
Some sanctions and policies do not always stay the same for long, they can change while a government is still in power, or when they pass power on to a new government. I think that Binance will be back to Nigeria, and when they come back, how willing do you think Nigerians who are into cryptocurrency will be to return back to them for exchange services?

Cryptocurrency Trading / Simple practices to improve trading.
« on: April 12, 2024, 07:36:20 PM »
Some simple practices can help a newbie trader to quickly improve on his/her trading skills. some of these practices are very simple, can be done alone or best with another newbie trader who wants to become an expert trader. Some of these practices that I have observed are;

- Practice demo trading, although not all traders started with Demo trading because some traders actually could handle the risk of loosing.
- Be consistent, and to encourage or learn consistency, you can start a 21 days trading challenge with a fellow newbie trader, or a trading challenge for as long as you want. If you do a challenge with someone, the person can encourage you when you feel like quitting from the challenge due to failed analysis or other reasons.
- Whenever you loose in trading, always return back to find out the reason why you failed.
- Do not depend on signal groups.
- Practice emotional control.
- Do not focus on too many cryptocurrency pairs.
- Join a community of traders.

These are a few, and I am sure there are more from other traders, please share to the benefit of us all.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Do not neglect fundamental analysis.
« on: March 26, 2024, 02:32:00 PM »
To really get an accurate prediction in trading traders are often required and advised not to totally depend on technical analysis, forgetting fundamental analysis. With proper timely information from the news, you can make a lot of profit on a trade.

If you know that you will not be able to keep up with news updates as the come up, you can make a smart move on setting notifications on various crypto news handles on social media platforms like X, so that whenever there's a new development consigning cryptocurrency and a particular coin you'll be among the very first people to hear about it. Some traders make millions from just taking advantage of the news, and they are also able to avoid losses too due to fundamental analysis.

With Technical and Fundamental analysis, the chances of making profit from a trade increases massively.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Influence of the forum.
« on: March 26, 2024, 01:15:34 PM »
I have had some little interests in altcoins for a very long time and I cannot say it is because of any negative experience I've had but because I have really never paid attention to them and my attention has been mostly on only Bitcoin. Since I have been in this forum, it has not lessened my interest in bitcoins, but makes me also want to consider investing in some altcoins too.

Who else has had themselves influenced to want to invest in some few altcoins since joining this forum?

« on: January 09, 2024, 07:54:24 AM »
I know that there were already already high quality posters and knowledgeable  altcoinstalks users before in this forum, But with more users from Bitcointalk teleporting here, some making here their new home, I believe that there will be a surge in the quality of discussions that will be ongoing and raised in this forum.

Altcoinstalks is shifting to the next level. and I am happy to be a part of that.
