Sorry if I ask like a fool. Because asking things might be quite easy for those who already know how.
I accidentally made a double post. And I intend to delete one of them. But I didn't find the delete button at the top of my post. And I only found the Quote and Modify buttons.
Can someone please tell me how to delete the posts we have made on this forum. Previously I didn't think about deleting posts. But today, for the first time, I intend to delete a post that I accidentally made twice.

You can burn an ALTT token to delete your post, you can also purchase a special rank to enable you to delete your post anytime you want. Or as the same as @Jokers said, you can ask or report to the moderator to delete your extra post. Just put the comment as the reason, as long as it is valid they can delete it.

I guess these are the only options for OP to do that, but every forum has its features and rules, I like this feature it will make us think about what we post so we will not regret it later or purchase a rank to enable deleting the posts. which is a good one also this supports the burning of the token to reduce the supply, the third one is your only option requesting the moderator to delete your posts but you have to accept whatever decision the moderators make.

This forum doesn't have the option for us to delete the topic or post, but we can modify that post and can write there nothing and can leave that space empty this will indicate that the post is useless and thus after doing this we can report it to the moderators and can ask them to delete the post for you. If the moderators are given the access to do that, otherwise only the admin can do that. I also once mistakenly posted in the same thread tow times.
And I had to delete the post, and that's when I realized this forum doesn't have any delete option. So, I prefer you to delete the post by editing the post and enter the text there as Delete this post, if any moderators saw this, This might solve your problem, or we should just ask admin to add this feature.

This is indeed a great feature, but it's still possible that you might occasionally forget about some of the features of this forum, especially for some who are not used to it yet. Just like me, I have missed some of the posts in the past due to my excitement to discuss various topics with other new users on this platform. This is why the option of burning ALTT tokens is a fantastic idea, as it is much more affordable than purchasing a special rank.

Thank you everyone for the answers and well this is a relief to me because at least there are options I can choose from. And for now I have chosen to modify the double post that I have made. And yeah someday I might have to try buying some of the features on this forum. Or maybe burn altt tokens.
Because double posting actually doesn't bother me at all. So I'll leave it blank for now. :)

I think this is something that the admin should change, i don't think i have ever been in a forum were i have to 'buy' the right to delete my own posts, everyone should be able to delete their posts. However if the admin does not want to make it that way, then maybe he should set it that members can delete their post 48 hours after the post is made. I don't think i would ever want to spend anything or buy any special rights to delete my own posts.

More on to that, the forum has its token, where using tokens to delete a post helps to burn the tokens. Users can earn ALTT tokens by earning points, so this feature is not necessarily a bad thing. It's a give-and-take system where you can exchange the tokens for money or use them to delete your post and benefit the community.

I'm not really a fan of this tokenize of the forum to boost the price but if there is anything I will like to be remove from the option, then it's that delete option to burn some ALLT tokens. I mean, I can just make a mistake to type some things and then change my mind to delete and then before I do that, I have to burn some tokens with some additional gas fees. I don't know if I'm sounding not logical but I think lots of people who ignore the post and move into another aspect of the forum.
I'm addition, if they want ALLT to be useful, I don't think paying for rank should have the option to delete, the token burn should be the only option because the other one is you are paying with another token which is not adding anything to ALLT unless the money generated will be added to boost ALLT liquidity.

I think admin has answered the question so there is no need to share anymore information by anyone else. I recommend OP, to read the post of admin so he can understand that how this forum works.
A user cannot delete his posts but if you think that your posts are not worthy to be present on this forum then you can report those posts as mentioned by admin.
In order to be able to delete your topic you will have to be a donor or you will have to burn a $10 worth of ALTT. If you wanted to delete a single topic then you will have to burn$1 worth of ALTT. In my experience, it is not complicated at all when you don't have special ability and rank. You just have to report that to the admin and add a reason why you want it to have deleted. I guess being a royalty and donator has really some good perks if you can avail that one. So, that's it. The admin and mods are active and probably have always been looking into the queue of reported posts that want to get deleted.

Hi, I'm curious about the ability to delete posts... and I also want this forum to have no fraud so that it can continue to develop healthily. Let's say someone, let's call them X, posts something bad like evidence of a scam. If X burns some ALTT Tokens to delete that post, wouldn't the forum be helping to cover up the scammer's wrongdoing?
Unless someone else quoted the post... If someone quoted it, it seems like that would still leave a trace, right?

or if you find it harder to delete your double post? just Modify the other one and leave it with the message "Please Delete Moderator/admin" in which given that it is just a double post or you wanted that to be deleted.
and also I don't think there will ever be an issue if you double the post in same time it may sound redundant but enough for others to read completely and understand your mean ;D ;D :D

You are right here, but I still think it is an additional unnecessary obligation for you and the moderators. Maybe it didn't look like that a few months ago when the activity on the forum was significantly less, now it is different and there is a tendency that there will be even more activities. Therefore, more work to keep the forum clean.

Your post has been moved to the Trash section, which contains all deleted posts, including those that are off-topic or have been reported. The posts you have reported to the moderator may still be visible in your post history, but the thread itself will be in the Trash section.

I just checked it and it has been moved to trash. That is nice but removing it from the entire system would have been better but the admin knows what he is doing so we can't question him and probably he kept it there for reference purposes so that there would be no disagreement without evidence. Wherever there is a disagreement between two parties then we can still go there and restore some trash threads or post for clarification to souse the tension of the argument. Thanks.

So it means if there is a way that we can see the history of deleted posts, then you will add the delete feature? Is that what you are saying, it means we need an archive where all the posts will be saved, and once that happened I think you are good to go. As people then can't scam by deleting posts, as you will have the history, or delete log, for that post and you can verify the scam case.
I hope some members from BTT can help you to make an archive, I know you must already know how to make one, but if the problem is with funds then that's another case. I hope funds will be collected. I think people might prefer to fund this forum ones they saw some roadmap to new features. What you think about it?

The system in this forum is not like in some other forums, here you have to have a special rank or at least be able to pay some money to the admin as explained at https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=63.0, at least you You must have the "Royalty" bedge to get the delete function on posts you have made, and from the information I read in that thread the fee for Royalty is 0.1 ETH or more.

I still don't get is on what can prompt a user to make a decision on deleting his post, this can only proof to us that such user might have been posting shits before or have something he wouldn't like to be made reference about, its something many would have been using the way they like since there's no condition for that, but since it comes with a requirement, anyone interested in such would have think twice before taking an action.

How I wish you read the whole thread and not just posting about the title because this made you the one who posted shits in this forum.
OP had a mistake by Double Posting and that is His problem that's why he wanted to delete His other post so sometimes reading the thread before posting will save us from being looking like this now.

At the top of your post, on the right-hand side, you'll see a button called "Modify", just click/tap on it and edit your post.
At the bottom of the post you will see the day and time of the last modification.

If you are still having difficulty then you can ask for help from a moderator who has the right to delete posts that you have made, or you can also contribute with a certain amount to get access to delete posts that have been made, but if you don't want to do both then it is better to make writing corrections so that you don't need to delete posts that have been made.

The beginning of this thread has more information on how to delete posts, it's always more informative to read the entire threads to get a better idea of what we're going to talk about.
There is the option to pay to delete posts, but there is also the ability to send a private message to a moderator with the link to the post the user wants to delete. You can also report the post for deletion by indicating in the comments that it be deleted. The last way I said is usually the fastest since in a short time some moderator will see the report and delete the post.

You can make this by either contacting a moderator for deleting your post, some of them would have even realized for that if they saw that you already have made a repeated post, you can use your ALLT token to purchase the rank to enables you do that, and if the worst be, you should only go to the post, edit it and empty the contents and save it, the thread would have been there bit anyone seing it will see an empty thread.
