Yes, I have seen so many of them that changed their lifestyle with their big wins. I have a neighbor that won big in gambling, and he relocated to a better environment, and stayed away from his old friends. U only heard the news and when I happen to see him, after a while, I didn't recognize him, but he called me and when I saw him, I could not believe my eyes because it was as if he was never broke before. I totally agree with what you said and I have seen many gamblers who after winning huge amount of money go back to their previous position. The first thing I notice about them here is that they are very greedy. They lose their money due to uncontrolled greed.

Gambler's winnings will be worthless if the big money from gambling or after winning the jackpot cannot be invested in something profitable place. It is true that he will return to his former position at some point because he will not get jackpot repeatedly in gambling. A prudent gambler must ensure proper use of his winnings.

Depends on how large the money is, obviously, if it is lottery winning then yeah, he might change his lifestyle for the better with that huge winnings. But if it just small or just a couple of thousands of dollars, I'm thinking that he will go back to his gambling and chase for more.

That's how the behavior of gamblers though, we are not that contented and we want more winnings.

Well, I heard of a person in our town who suddenly became more private when he won the jackpot in lottery and rightly so. You cannot expect anyone to act the same around people when they suddenly became rich because, in their mind, they have more to lose. I've honestly never seen anyone who wins big in gambling change their lifestyle, yes it might change it for a day, two days or longer, but afterwards they will go back to the way they were before because the money they got from gambling has run out.

Yes, I have two friends, who had the same behavior as your friend, but when they are in that process they don't tell anyone, sometimes I tell them 'why didn't they share it with us who are their friends?' So they could have done better, two heads are better than one, but there are people who are like that, they change and things may go in their favor and yes, they improve their lives, that is something that at least I like, but if they are friends, I think they have to share, those two friends won $500k, that's why I think things are not that different from what happened to you with your friend.

Yes most of the gamblers I know from some people indeed they have a worse situation than before, they go from a normal life to a life that is not better because their money runs out in gambling, usually these people are people who cannot escape gambling or people who are already addicted.
