Bitcoin Forum / Re: [VIDEO] Killing Bitcoin
« on: Today at 12:38:29 AM »
I thought it was possible to embed videos here. Isn't it? Just youtube videos?

If anyone knows how, please tell me
HAHA, it's a good video, someone really made great efforts to make this video, I think you can't embed a Twitter video in this forum but Yt one, in order to embed it here, you first have to upload the video on YT and then have to embed the video here. I think that's the only way to do it. BTW I just came to know that there is a gap for such a tool. I mean there are tools that can do stuff directly for you.

And on the internet, there is not a single tool that can use the twitter video link and provide you the YT embed link so you can use it anywhere. I mean doing it is not so hard, but I think the demand for this tool is not so much, as people don't usually search for videos on twitter AKA X so that's why there is not such tool.

Am I the only one who just came to know that he spent 50,000 BTC on 10 Pizza, I thought he only spent 10,000 BTC on two pizzas only, I have been into crypto for more than 3 years, and till now I never read anywhere that he spend 50,000 BTC on 10 Pizza, you are the first dude who wrote it, even I did not read it on the post he made on BTT, I read the whole thread there it's like bumping your head into a wall (this type of feeling I got when was reading the thread). Now I feel 4x bad for this Laszlo. It's 4x or 5x well correct me if I am wrong.

Overall, he is really a patience dude, I mean people committed suicide or did bad things just because they lost a lot of money, and this dude on the live show says he doesn't regret that activity. BTW in his interview, he did not even mention he spent 50,000 BTC on 10 Pizza. Can you please share a source link to this fact, its really blowing my mind,

A user lost $68 million after falling victim to a "dust attack". The monitoring platform Cyvers Alerts detected a transaction for 1155 WBTC.
I never been in this situation because from the start as poor guy, I always double-check the address, not just the initials and ends, but after knowing this scam, I check all the letters one by one. And then I proceed. BTW, the only way for a person to become a victim of this scam is, they cipy the address from explorer, or from a place where they are copying the address from the transaction details. I mean for them they send or receive assets from there wallet so they can get the receiving address from that tx details.

Using some tool the get the details and don't copy the wallet address from the wallet directly, and end up copying the address which they thought is there's. While the scammer had made a address with same intials and ends, and the viticm thought its there address. This technique is also known as address poisoning, and its in the market from the start of January 2023. I mean  its already in the market before that but the peak of this type of hack was started from 2023's january.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Trump Supporting Bitcoin, Crypto
« on: May 29, 2024, 07:08:58 PM »
Not an Us citizen, so I don't really care who wins, but as a crypto user who understands how much it will influence the crypto market, I also think Trump is a better choice, I mean crypto is already legal in the Biden era, so I won't say Biden is harm to crypto investors, As Biden is a smart dude, he did not ban it, he comes up with ways to use this crypto sector for his own benefits, like to fill the national funds, they are implying taxes, they are seizing every crypto platform who disobeys the rules and seizing there funds and they are collecting these funds for national reserves. I won't say why they need that much money, I mean they are literally giving away million of dollars and billions of dollars on unecassrory war, and these war are killing innocents.

Point is, both are good candidates, and I don't know why I get the feeling that if Biden remain the PM then he will comeup with more taxes, and strictness and he can also try to take over people's BTC. But if Trump becomes the PM he will also come up ways to gather funds from crypto users, like in terms of tax etc. But he won't be adding those in national reserves but he will be adding them in his own pockets.

Forum related / Re: Bitcoin Pizza Day at AltcoinsTalks
« on: May 25, 2024, 11:20:14 PM »
I saw admin added nice pizza symbol in AltcoinsTalks logo for Bitcoin Pizza day celebration, but I was thinking if people are interested in starting competition in making DIY pizzas, similar like members are doing in Bitcointalk forum?
This can bring more forum activity and we could do similar competitions for other events, not only for making pizzas.
It's a great idea, we should really start those competitions here as well, but I think its kind of late right now, we should prepare for it before the date, and admin should announce it before the pizza day, we should also start other competitions as well, like pie baking, Halloween which was not celebrated on BTT this year. I was waiting for a competition thread as I was looking for a pumpkin but later I realized that it did not celebrated this time.

It would be a great activity, but I doubt if many members would participate in it, we should make a team first, to gather some funds, so that they could be rewarded without any biased decisions, I think the admin should raise funds, members will definitely give funds, they won't have to be much, as if money will be the reward, then more member will participate.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Roger Ver has been arrested
« on: May 25, 2024, 11:00:23 PM »
Facebook cofounder Eduardo Saverin also left the country and renounced his citizenship so that he didn't have to pay taxes from his ~7 billion dollar stock, and i'm sure there are a few other cases too.
Hmm, As far as I understand, you are trying to say, if a person wants to move to a tax haven, so that he doesn't have to give tax on his investments or assets, or business, which he had made in USA, then he have to renounce the citizenship, as if he will not, he still have to pay money. But what if he starts his business from a tax haven place. Like every document is made from that country, in this case, your county won't have to know it.

I mean I know while paying taxes you have to tell the business and earnings etc. but in this case, you still have to pay the tax, while you are living in the US but building a business from the start in a tax haven. I thought we don't have to give in this case, that's why I was confused with your statements, Well, for this the best and the worst both cases would be to name your assets to a tax haven citizen, I know it worse but still people use this method.

Just waiting for my silver miners to do their job...

I have zero interest in opening an account at the CME, so I have no idea Faisal - but I have the biggest respect if you want to try  :D
I know the word CME only because CME owns the Comex.
The Comex (COM-modity EX-change) is the biggest exchange for gold & silver futures, so observing the behaviour of the traders at the Comex can help to decipher how G&S price will move short term.
I also have no interest right now haha, especially after seeing the requirements. So what exchange or platform are you using for silver trading or investing other than Comex? I never trade silver or gold TBH, so don't know how it feels, like I can assume we can trade like we trade crypto, right? BTW can we make the same type of profits from it, I read somewhere that, gold takes 10 years to repeat its bullish cycle so as a silver investor, does it also have a bullish or bearish cycle like BTC has?

If you don't mind to sharing your experience of trading in G&S, although I can see your silver miners are really making you money on silver right now, but overall, what we can expect from this pair? I hope you won't mind me asking this, as I want to step into this type of trading as well.

Well, while your silver miners are making money, I think it's time to visit the dentist hehe. I hope you get well soon.

In my opinion, investing in just one coin is not profitable, but when we have limited capital that can be used to invest, we can buy coins that have long-term potential and don't care how many coins you invest.
That's what we two were agreed on, I think everyone in crypto space will agree on this fact that investing in one coin is not profitable, besides the factor of how much funds you have, is also considerable, because if you have lesser funds then diversifying it won't get you more profit so its better to invest it in some old, and trusted coin, maybe more then one like two or three, that would be enough I suppose.

For example, if we have 100$ then investing 20$ in 5 different coins, of $10 in 10 different coins, of $50 in two different coins, would be more better. It also depends on the risk that a person wants to take, like if a person wants to take a risk with half of his money ($50), so he should invest in highly volatile coins, that could either give him more or lesser. But the remaining 50$ should be invested in such a way that they could at least generate you another $50 + the profit. Because That's how you manage the risk. Play safe with half an play risk with the other half. What do you guys think?

As for other fiat service and stablecoin, i would guess it's because probably Visa know some users only care about make payment or sending fiat (or it's equivalent) to another user at low fee or high convenience. Other fiat service might offer lower fee, while stablecoin on altcoin network have very low TX fee.
I am still a little bit confused with the fee and convenience factor, as the dashboard is only giving the stats about overall volume, or is it? Like the comparison of fees as well. Well, users definitely prefer lower fees and high convenience, they tend to easiness. They will adopt it and leave the other. I thought they made this dashboard to show people and users that they have got more volume, they are being used mostly than other platforms.

Speaking of the tx fee, I think it's not the only factor that's been considered by users, as alts needed to be integrated as payment methods in their sites, or platforms where the customers want, and it's a little hard, while implementation of Visa is more easier and many users considered it because there are fewer people using crypto and more people using fiat. Overall, this fee thing did not make sense to me, if you could please shed more light on it.

Forum related / Re: What does it mean by ?
« on: May 25, 2024, 08:22:08 PM »
It's the rating system that was introduced by the admin, to give a rating to a campaign, according to the performance maybe. Some bounties have more ratings while others are lesser, it might depend on different factors, I was unable to find that topic where it was discussed before, i think mods and admin can give ratings accordingly, but on what factors hard to tell right now. If you will visit the bounty section or signature section, you will see all of them have this rating setting on.

The photo you have shared is of a suggestion box section, where people share their opinions and suggestions, so I assume, better suggestions liked by the admin will have some ratings, the ones with no ratings might mean those were not good suggestions. Only the admin can shed more light on it now.

Forum related / Re: OutBox In Altcointtalk?
« on: May 25, 2024, 08:05:49 PM »
I have entered the Altcointalk forum for a few months, and so far I have not needed to see my sended personal message. But today I entered the My Messages option and found that there are only two options, which are only the option to view my inbox messages and another option to send a personal message.
Now I want to know that there is no outbox option where I can see my sent messages ?
Or we have to activated any option ?
There is no word used like outbox, but a word used sent items, which shows you the sent messages. It's not that hard, and there are not only two options, one you will hover your mouse cursor on the "My messages" option, and you will see two items, one is "Read your messages" other is "Send Messages" The second one won't take you to the outbox, to find the outbox AKA Sent items options you have to click on the "My messages" option.

Then in the sidebar, you will find the option of "sent Items" There you will see the messages you have sent till now. The layout is not the same as of BTT if you have been influenced to have the same UI due to a BTT user.

It's not really a secret — I'm simply very active in this industry. I simply like talking to project teams and such and research on who the main competitors are at specific crypto categories.
Hmm, that's a good approach, so you do all the research manually, like you don't pick airdrops from free or paid groups, and them share it on your site, though many airdrop groups even influencers are doing it, they pick all the airdrops from another language airdrop group so there audience won't get to know it and they share it in there own community in there own language.

That's why I said its a secret so if you don't want to share then its ok, but you do all the work manually like even talking with the team as well, mostly probably like a community manager, because these managers also bring some special spots for there referrals. BTW just a question as you are into this industry for long time, did these airdrop community managers take money from the projects to share there airdrop in there groups or spread good word about it, or to shill it or not?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: The impact of crypto on our lives
« on: May 25, 2024, 07:14:20 PM »
Yeah, although many people enter the crypto market to pursue a new financial model in which currencies are no longer under the control of governments, honestly, I think most investors only focus on and prioritize profits from the market. Crypto can be a financial revolution, but it can also simply be an easily accessible investment channel for everyone in need.

I hope that the potential of the crypto market does not create FOMO and losses for many inexperienced investors. Losses always exist in the market and become fuel for the market to develop further, but I don't think this crypto market needs the live of any investor. Investors should only invest the amount that they are willing to lose to participate in this highly volatile market.
You are right, I am investing in crypto because it's easy for me, I don't have to visit banks, or give any type of documents attested from this and that institutions, I don't have to get huge links to some agencies, etc. For example, we need more funds, and more resources to create an account for the CME exchange and relevant ones. Besides the easiness, the control we get is also appreicatable. Like we can withdraw anytime with a lesser fee. I love investing in crypto due to its potential and the facilities it gives me.

Speaking of losses in the market, that's definitely a good point, because if everybody is making a profit then where the money is coming from? You say investors should only invest money that they are willing to lose, but to be very practical, I don't think a single person/investor investing funds in crypto is willing to lose his funds. Although If I had $5 then I would invest it anywhere without any fear. So if we think of big parties like having billions, for them thousands would be like $5 so they might take the risk with that.

I completely agree with you on this point. I have seen a lot of old and new projects, but they are actually “just ink on paper,” as they say, meaning they are just ideas without any real tools or real need in the market.

With the exception of some old projects that have proven their existence and depend on actual needs in the market, I do not see any tokens that have real value or a real project. They promote very attractive ideas in the beginning, then after they collect money, they forget the project and leave, and the token remains without development.
I think it's the money that changes their motive, or their main motive is to get money rather than working on that idea. Overall old projects definitely proving themselves worthy of trust and that's why they have more potential than these new coins. As new coins no doubt can even give 100x while these old can't but the chances of losing it all is also 100x in new ones.

That's why I only look for those projects which have some real product in the market, not just the idea, because those platforms who only promtes there whitepaper and site without actual product or service are not worthy of investment of trust. The main factor that we should consider is the longevity of the product. Even if a person considering new tokens, they the thing that matters most IMO is partners and investors, as they mention them on website, you should research on them if they have good history, like in making profits then you can also do that.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Joinmarket.net (discussion) experience?
« on: May 25, 2024, 06:49:07 PM »
You can find it on the original site using Webarchive from the last known online date (May 15. '24) https://web.archive.org/web/20240515010827/https://joinmarket.net/

No, I haven't heard from Reddit about this.
GitHub is a reliable source and the fact that something is not easy to install does not mean that it is a scam. (Scams are usually very easy to install). Delete such attitude from memory  ;)

You can find more about CoinJoin here https://www.coinjoins.org/ as well as some more important links on that topic, including Joinmarket.
I don't have this attitude as I have experienced things of how new people expect things to be, and how they will like it, that's why I said the platform should be a little easy to approach otherwise they will use an excuse of scam and will leave it, while an educated person knows code and how to confirm the code, can easily confirm how and if its safe to perform an action in it or not. Yeah I got the fact that you did not hear about it from Reddit when I read some replies later.

Someone has shared a thread made on Joinmarket here as well, I was actually trying to say, for a successful journey of this platform, it have to make a good UI like many other mixers, wallets etc. So that more people could use it and more money could flow from it. As more money flowing means more anonymity or is'nt.
