I have been meaning to do this for a while now but each time I get distracted and laggard. I want us to have an avenue of sharing some of our indigenous proverbs while still learning the crypto stuff.

— E don tey wey I be dey plan to do this thing here but each time too much distractions dey carry my mind comot from am. I go like make our area people share some of our local proverbs here with their explanations. I go put the proverbs in bold.

Share a proverb, and then put up its meaning. It will be best if the proverb is written in pidgin English.

Make I kick start am with some Warri flavour. Area!

Nor be today wey yansh don dey back.
Meaning: We are used to such a situation.

Dem nor dey tell blind man sey salt nor dey soup, you fit tell am sey oil nor dey.
Meaning: Obvious things don't need explanations

Poster, as other don talk e for good make you change the pidgin spelling, make you correct am so that we go know wattin to do, anyway I get one proverb to drop,

Haha it is fun doing this here on this platform let me drop some proverbs from my Grand Pa too😛...

1. Proverb: Na where short man hand reach e go dry him cloth

Meaning: You no fit do pass yourself



2. Proverb: One broom stick nor fit sweep house clean

Meaning: Unity and collaboration is essential for achieving a common goal

3. Proverb: Fly wey no dey hear word nai dey follow deadbody enter grave

Meaning: Failure to adhere to instructions is destruction

Very interesting. We have this thread on our local board on bitcointalk platform and here it is. I am happy that we are promoting our language and proverbs to the globe through this medium.i believe other nationals are also reading this and would be interested in our pidgin language.
Let me drop this one here;

Proverb: Wetin elder see as him sit down, pikin no go see am even if that pikin stand or climb tree.
Meaning: Always listen and adhere to the advise of your elders.

Proverbs: No matter how water boil reach , with time e go cool down.
Meaning: Any how person stubborn reach, the person go calm down as the person dey grow mature.

I saw the thread about African proverbs in Pidgin on this forum, Altcoinstalks which was created later after 3 months that it has been created on Bitcointalk. I remember that the thread was created by Fivestar4everMVP at the time so the search was easy for me.
