This idea is already late in Russia by at least a few years. But better late than never. The digital currency will undoubtedly make the banking system in Russia faster and cheaper in transactions. But will it help to effectively circumvent international sanctions? Here I have big doubts. More than a year ago, I read information that over 80 percent of states, to varying degrees, are working on creating their own digitized currency. Therefore, I do not see any sensation here in the fact that in Russia they are talking about a digitized ruble. If in Russia they want to somehow bypass international sanctions with his help, then this is unlikely to help them. Including the possible use of cryptocurrencies.
