A combination of both is the key, I have managed to increase my holdings in some investments by selling at a decent price and buying back in after a drop. A straightforward and effective strategy if you can get the timing right (I haven't managed to every time). Holding is seen as a safe bet, but it makes no sense to blindly hold an investment. A portfolio should always be adapting to the markets, moving profits from higher risk investments into safer ones etc.

Honestly speaking, i have zero knowledge when it comes to trading. So for that matter, i just can't recommend it to you. But i am slowly studying and learning the in's and out's of it. And hopefully one day, i can be a successful trader. So for now mate, i would say investing will be a good option. Carefully choose a coin that has a considerable potential and hold it for some time for a massive return. Just don't forget to invest only what you can afford to lose.

Both is good depending on what you are comfortable doing with. I look at crypto trading for short term and crypto investing for long term. I like trading and want to learn more that's why I want to acquire experience as much as I can so that I can have a trading strategy that would help me become a profitable trader and then when I have profits, I would invest some of it to some coins that I think would be valuable for the long term.

In my own opinion, trading is good and more profitable way of earning money but, i think its hard to manage because you have to study or monitor the price movements of each coin you want to buy, hold and trade. You have a great point mate, in addition if we can do both it is a good way to earn more but we need to study hard to achieved the effective ways of doing it. Because trading crypto is not an easy job to do so but we really need to learn it more first before to get succeed. Unlike investing is just looking potential coins in the market to invest and wait for good market correction before deciding to sell it.

Crypto is not like stock options...options you have to sell before it expires....crypto, you only have a loss if you sell... so if you bought in a price point A, it goes down... buy more at price point B to average down... then hold until it goes up past price point A... you'll never have a loss in crypto until you sell.... side note, risky to do that with new or small projects (aka Alt coins) but can on some of them since their cheaper

All have their own advantages and disadvantages, back to how our fashion is in living it if it is according to what we can afford. The most important thing is which one is more comfortable to live with.
