Cryptocurrency discussions / How Are You Preparing For 2023?
« on: December 27, 2022, 06:49:47 AM »
We all know that 2022 has not been friendly to the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin, being the top ranked lost over 60 percent from its all time high value.
Many altcoins have also lost more than half the value they had in 2021, the several occurrences in the cryptocurrency industry caused several bloodbath we experienced in most parts of the year 2022.

But I am optimistic concerning 2023, I foresee a major breakout for Bitcoin and several other top altcoins, and some new altcoins that are really promising..

And speaking of new altcoins, ive been investing in Renec in preparation for 2023, Renec blockchain is one of the best projects I've found so far, the project was fully launched in October 2022, since then, usage and activities on the Renec blockchain has been increasing day after after, it's one project I wouldn't want any body to miss, so I urge you all to check it, you can start your research by joining their community on discord - https://discord.gg/Vw9ykjAWGh

So, how are you preparing for 2023, what or which altcoin are you buying in preparation for 2023?

Cryptocurrency discussions / CZ claimed Layer 2 isn't really needed yet
« on: September 19, 2022, 10:47:30 AM »
We have few layer 1 projects in the crypto space right now and new ones are showing up but the thing is no layer 1 project fixed every layer 1 problems yet so why are layer 2 projects showing up in numbers? Do we really need layer 2 projects right now? I watched a CZ and Crypto banter interview on Youtube and CZ claimed we don't need layer 2 yet.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Few crypto thoughts of the day
« on: September 18, 2022, 04:33:39 PM »
1. The minimum deep that BTC dived to was 17,500$ do you still think we are going below 13,000$? If yes please explain.
2. Does it matter if you build a crypto portfolio at 15k per BTC or 10k per BTC.
3. In 2020 covid was the reason why BTC crumbled to 3,500$ what will happen in 2023 that will bring the same deep dive to crypto market.
4. Crypto keeps looking stronger every year, it's getting more recognised and big players of the world are saying BTC is a better store of value than the dollar for long term, are they right.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Crypto Governance
« on: September 16, 2022, 11:21:27 AM »
has anyone actually tried to dabble in the governance of some PoS chains?
i find it a total shit show, and i'm slowly thinking it might be a buzzword to get you to buy in. here are some of my issues:

1. people who write proposals and people who vote are only the ones who know english. that means non-english speakers are excluded from deciding the future of a project.

2. some proposals are badly written and lack clarity or data. example: there was a proposal on Juno to hold lots of money from the treasury and fund developers with it who migrated from Luna after the Luna collapse. no mention of who these devs are, how many there are, what projects they'll be working on. yet everyone voted yes because it sounded good.

3. someone who doesn't want to be involved in governance and just liked the principles of the crypto project has to accept the fact that the project might be totally different in about 2 years after some proposal he/she doesn't agree with. This makes people micro-manage their money. Not everyone got the time or energy for that, especially if they're invested in more than one crypto and need to follow and read proposals for each crypto.

4. voters need to pay a fee to be able to vote. this means early adopters decide the rules for late adopters who are just observing the space before they get in. that's not inclusive/universal.

ultimately, humans are flawed and a monetary system with governance relies on humans. whereas something like bitcoin has governance that doesn't open the doors to random people to vote on proposal they might not even be bothered to read. also, participants have no idea how much power they vs. the devs have. remember how Solend bypassed the whole governance system to protect a whale from liquidation? does anyone have a case for governance?

Meme-inspired cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE) is now officially the second largest proof-of-work (PoW) crypto in terms of market cap, following the Ethereum network's proof-of-stake upgrade on Sept. 15.

Bitcoin (BTC) of course remains miles ahead of Dogecoin’s market cap of $7.83 billion, though the well-followed memecoin is still comfortably ahead of the third place PoW cryptocurrency Ethereum Classic (ETC) (with a market cap of $4.69 billion), Litecoin (LTC)  ($4.01 billion) and Monero (XMR) ($2.65 billion).

One Dogecoin fan appeared to be in disbelief of Dogecoin’s rise to become the second largest PoW cryptocurrency, stating “who would have thought that this would happen. Congrats #Dogefam.”

Reputation, Scams & Phishing / Tokpie Exchange is a pure Scam. Be warned!!!
« on: September 01, 2022, 05:52:45 PM »
My Tokpie Exchange journey, i deposited my fund to trade their. I bought the native token of the exchange (TKP) but i can't trade it back to Eth, BNB, USDC or WBTC.
I wrote to support and they told me that i should place order based on their terms or forget about it. But the evil part of it is that they are selling below the price they want us to place.
Right now, my funds are trapped their. If you write anything about it on the Telegram group, they will delete. There are screenshots as evidence to these.
I am posting this, so that others won't fall victim of this evil that Tokpie Exchange is dishing in the Blockchain Space.
Stay away from Tokpie Exchange but you if you have experience any manipulation from them, drop your own experience here.
Tokpie officials can as well come and clear us here.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Where to hodl Ethereums? (ETH MERGE)
« on: August 31, 2022, 04:42:01 AM »
It is said that fork tokens of ethereum will be released after the merge.

On forks of btc; bch and btg; some exchanges send bch and btgs to hodlers of btc. and some exchanges did not distribute these tokens because of they didnt support forks;

I don't know what happens to those who keep it in the cold wallet.

In this merge period, if we hold ethereum on myetherwallet or ledger; can we claim possible ethereum fork tokens to addresses?

Poloniex made an announcement 2 weeks ago, we will distribute all fork tokens.
I did not come across the announcement about possible fork tokens in binance or other exchange. Which exchanges will support fork tokens?

Where do you think we should hodl ethereums? Which one would be more logical on this merge period?

Milo Inu, one of the countless Shiba Inu copycats, has employed an unorthodox promotional strategy that involves Tesla CEO Elon Musk. As noted by DogeDesigner, a prolific member of the Dogecoin community who goes by the handle @cb_doge, the centibillionaire recently liked a tweet from a Twitter account called “Musk World.”

After receiving much-coveted attention from Musk, the account changed its name to “MILO” and set the logo of the canine coin as its profile picture. The full rebrand came just hours after the controversial billionaire liked the tweet. It is worth mentioning that Musk is not affiliated with the Milo Inu token in any way. However, the project’s creators apparently intend to “save lives” together with Musk. The official Twitter profile of the BNB Chain-based coin attached a screenshot to showcase Musk’s like as a stamp of approval.
