Telegram’s cryptocurrency— the Gram — may be going public after all. The encrypted messaging app company plans to deliver “the first batches” of the coin in the next two months, according to a report at The New York Times.

The last time we reported on the Gram, it was to note that Telegram was canceling its initial coin offering (ICO), so the news may come as a bit of a surprise unless you’ve been following Telegram and cryptocurrency closely. But if you have, you’ve probably heard a rumor that Telegram has a hard deadline to make it happen: if it doesn’t deliver by October 31st, it legally forfeits the $1.7 billion it raised to make those coins a reality.

Bitcoin prices fell on Tuesday in Asia. Crypto exchange Binance made headlines as the company said it is launching a new crypto lending service.

Bitcoin fell 1.4% to $10,193.2 by 12:45 AM ET (04:45 GMT). Ethereum was down 2.4% to $186.03, while XRP and Litecoin traded 1.3% and 2.4% lower respectively.

Holders of Binance Coin, Ethereum Classic and Tether will be able to lend their assets and earn interest through a new service called Binance Lending, Binance said in a statement.

The interest will be paid out immediately after the loan term matures, Binance noted, adding that the services will be available for subscription starting from Aug. 28 till Aug. 29.

In other news, The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has reportedly granted two banking and securities dealer licences to crypto-focused banks, according to Cointelegraph.

Two Swiss crypto-specializing firms, Seba Crypto AG and Sygnum have received banking and securities dealer licenses, the article said.

Automated trading programs, or bots, are manipulating digital currency prices on cryptocurrency exchanges, according to a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report October 2.

Automated trading software is a program that allows traders to set specific rules for both trade entries and exits, submit orders to a market center or exchange, and then automatically executes them by means of a computer at speeds greater than any human is able.

Trading programs are available for traditional and crypto markets, and can be deployed for both legitimate and manipulative strategies.

On Sept. 26, Australia’s National Science Agency (CSIRO), an independent Australian federal government agency responsible for scientific research, developed a blockchain network called Red Belly with the University of Sydney. They successfully conducted a pilot test on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) global cloud infrastructure, processing more than 40,000 transactions per second.

At 40,000 tx/second, Red Belly is able to process information on an immutable network at a capacity that is 6,666 times larger than the Bitcoin network and about 1,600 times bigger than the Ethereum blockchain network.

The company behind a multi-asset, universal wallet that can store major crypto and smart contract tokens in one place says it has become the first mobile wallet to support the ADA cryptocurrency.

Infinito Wallet says the milestone coincides with an update to version 1.15.0 of its platform – enabling users to “securely send, receive and check transaction history of ADA.”

According to the company, this development is significant because very few wallets on the market support ADA, and there is no such app for mobile devices. Infinito developers have worked with the #DevelopmentTeam behind Cardano and IOHK, and they utilized their official Cardano Rust project to seamlessly integrate ADA-support into the Infinito Wallet. With IOHK’s permission and support, Infinito has contributed code to the open-source Cardano Rust project for ADA mobile wallet integration and will continue such support for the Cardano open-source community.

The list of indicators signaling a long-term bullish reversal in bitcoin (BTC) continues to grow with each passing week.

The latest to join the list is the MACD histogram, which has moved above zero – turned bullish – for the first time since January. The MACD, which oscillates above and below the zero line, is one of the most popular technical indicators used to determine a trend's reversal and momentum.

A bearish-to-bullish trend change is confirmed when the histogram moves above the zero line. On the other hand, a bearish reversal is confirmed when it dips below zero.

The bullish turn of the MACD adds credence to BTC's strong defense of the psychological support of $6,000 in the last 10 weeks.

Further, it validates bearish exhaustion indicated by BTC's long-tailed monthly candle and the record low net shorts in the BTC futures market.

At press time, BTC is trading at $7,320 on Bitfinex, representing a 0.8 percent appreciation on a 24-hour basis.
