Possibly that can really happen in the near future to get into the crypto business, because if they don't. They would definitely get involved in crypto space big time and we would all be shocked at how it's going to happen.

You're very optimistic, indeed. Well, I've read a paper the other day that there's a big spread of opinion across the sector, with some seeing cryptocurrencies as a possible driver of a fundamental shift in the global financial system, others disliking bitcoin, but having some faith in the blockchain technology that underlines it, and others just seeing crypto as, basically, a complete waste of time. And an analyst by the name of James Faucette suggesting that the real value of bitcoin might be worth nothing but $0. So, what can you say about it?

Is it good time to buy some bitcoin?

Well, it's not a bad idea for buying 'some bitcoins' more especially if you have a deep pocket to buy them. As of this writing, the price of Bitcoin is $6,726.98 and it's down by 0.91 percent but if you believed it will pump-up in the next 24 hours go ahead and buy.

Greetings to all! Are there experienced participants of Airdrops here, who earns good money without attracting referrals?

I dont think so bro, From my experiences on airdrops here, its better to focus and do bounties rather than airdrops, it maybe takes a lot of time but its way more profitable than airdrops.

Yes, good advice. I joined some airdrops but until now I didn't receive a single token from them which is in contrast to the single ICO project I joined that end in 3 months, can you guess how much rewards I received from their Signature, Twitter, and Facebook bounties I participated? Well, it's just 293,762 tokens worth 1.8 Bitcoins...I've received it on the 1st week of May 2018. Not bad, right?

Being active does it means to post or is there anything apart from that again
You can be active without making a post instead committing your time of checking every section to see if there is something that you can see that needs improvement.

So, what will you do once you see something that needs improvement, are you going to report it? Where and How? What about if you didn't find anything and you're not making even a single post, now how would they know you've been active?

If we look in the brightier side of it I think that ripple can't make to the top as of now since we all know that bitcoin and eth si popular over the world. Let's just wait that one day ripple can make it to the top.

I remember a quote from Saint Francis of Assisi that says, "Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible." Well, I don't know if it's applicable on cryptos, like Ripple's XRP. But I do know Ripple has help banks move cash faster and more cheaply, however, they (banks) have no interest in using XRP and this is because of banks is against cryptos as they don't consider them as money. So, therefore, IMHO Ripple's XRP can't beat Bitcoin and even ETH. But then again, who knows Ripples is secretly doing what's necessary to make it possible.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Can Ethereum overtake Bitcoin
« on: June 21, 2018, 05:41:15 PM »
So many news and info are surrounding these two coins. It is said that one of the main competitors of Bitcoin is Ethereum. So, is it possible for Ethereum to overtake Bitcoin?

There is a news report published last March 30, 2018, coincidentally with the same subject, Can Ethereum Overtake Bitcoin? so, I'll just extract some of its text for the benefit of every user in this forum who might visit this thread.

Remember all that talk about a “flippening” last year? For a few months, if you scrolled down r/Ethereum or even it’s meme-intensive sibling r/ETHTrader, it seemed inevitable that the market cap of Ethereum would pass that of the current top dog in crypto – Bitcoin. The general consensus of both forums was sooner, rather than later, too.

However, several months on and the change in the prices of these two digital assets tells a different story. Ethereum has dropped from around $1,390 to about $385. The all-time high was over 3.6x greater than the price today. Meanwhile, Bitcoin fell from a high of around $19,974 to around $6,930 at the time of writing. This high is just over 2.88x greater than today’s price. Clearly, therefore, people are losing confidence in Ethereum faster than they are with Bitcoin.

Ethereum Forum / Re: If you were me, buy Ethereum or EOS?

I wander which cryptocurrency pefer to hold, still hesitate.

I believe Ethereum, EOS, Litecoin, IOTA, and TRON have enormous potential so they're my top picks for long-term holding aside from Bitcoin.

Dogecoin Forum / Re: Is Dogecoin a Good Investment?
« on: June 21, 2018, 03:06:36 PM »
The DogeCoin started as a joke in response to the success of BitCoin and LiteCoin. DogeCoin started with a value of about 0.0001 $ and had made itself about 18 times stronger in a month. DOGE can be a profitable investment option. Dogecoin price equal to 0.00377 USD at 2018-04-13. If you buy Dogecoin for 100 dollars today, you will get a total of 26611.83 DOGE. Based on our forecasts, a long-term increase is expected, the price prognosis for 2023-04-06 is 0.00884 US Dollars. With a 5-year investment, the revenue is expected to be around +135.25%.

While you may be right, 5 years is a long time to wait for what isn't a huge gain.  You can day trade and make that percentage of gains in a few months, even with $100 USD.

Doge is definitely the new tether.. greatest stablecoin of all time <3

I don't get exactly what you mean. Do you mean Dogecoin, Tether, and Stablecoin are inter-connected? Tether is a very controversial crypto as it's involved in many controversies this year and the latest is it's being blamed for Bitcoin Price Manipulation in 2017. So, if they're connected to one another I will not invest in any of these coins.

"Banks will trade cryptocurrency sooner than people think", that statement not from me but from the former head of J.P. Morgan's blockchain operation says banks like her former employer could get into the cryptocurrency business imminently. "I think it's coming sooner than people probably think," says Amber Baldet, Former head of J.P. Morgan's blockchain arm. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/18/banks-could-start-trading-crypto-soon-says-fmr-jpmorgan-executive.html

Some speculate that sooner or later banks will partner with cryptos. What do you think, guys?

Jeff Garzik, one of the earliest Bitcoin developers, has formally launched an altcoin, dubbed Metronome, which backers allege will be the first cryptocurrency to offer “institutional class” endurance.

Metronome had first been announced by Bloq, Garzik’s blockchain development firm, back in Oct. 2017, when the cryptocurrency market was in the early stages of a parabolic fourth-quarter rally.

The announcement was quite controversial at the time, particularly since Garzik was also the chief developer for SegWit2x, a bitcoin scaling upgrade that caused a sharp divide within the cryptocurrency community and ultimately failed to activate when its planned launch date arrived in November.

Metronome’s selling point is that — using a system of smart contracts — tokens can be exported and imported across a variety of different blockchains without altering the total MET supply. Bloq boasts that this ensures that Metronome will last for “generations,” even if individual underlying blockchain networks fade into obscurity.

“Institutional investors should be very excited to see something like this,” co-founder Matthew Roszak said last year. “We’ve built a thousand-year cryptocurrency, something that’s built to last.”

For his part, Garzik — who first contributed to the Bitcoin codebase in 2010 but has not contributed to the Bitcoin Core repository since 2015 —  has said that Metronome is the cryptocurrency he would have built if given a clean slate.

“Today, bitcoin faces existential threats from forks, developer drama and so on. Knowing what we know and having a clean sheet of paper, we asked what would we build and the answer is this.”

Unlike most initial coin offerings (ICOs), metronome is being distributed through a descending price auction, meaning that the crowdsale price decreases over time until no more tokens are remaining. Developers argue that this will reduce FOMO-driven buying and help with price discovery.

Consequently, contributions have been slim during the early hours of the crowdsale, with at least several investors stating on social media that they misunderstood the terms of the sale and thought that the price would go up — not down — as time passed.

As of the time of writing, just 87 of the 8 million MET had been sold, with the price floating at just above 1.85 ETH per token. However, the pace of contributions will likely quicken as the price declines over the next several days.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Read whitepaper
« on: June 20, 2018, 06:46:23 PM »
To be honest, I read white paper in rare cases as a rule they are similar and there is a lot of chatter
Wow some white paper has 80 pages or more which most investors will prefer to ask the admin at telegram than reading it all. As for me if I'm really interested on the project I will read it all to have a right decision to invest or not.

I think it's the right thing to do if you have an interest in investing in such a project it's a must to scrutinize every aspect or every detail so that your investment wouldn't go to waste.

What appeared to be signs of a rebound over the past day have been quashed this morning when news broke that Korea’s second largest exchange Bithumb had been hacked. Markets tumbled once again, with almost $10 billion being wiped out in half an hour. The fall as usual was led by Bitcoin which dropped $150 and settled at just over $6,600, down 1.6% on the day. Ethereum remained relatively stable and is trading at the same level as yesterday, $520. Altcoins as usual all got battered and a sea of red has now replaced the green that was there a few hours ago. Most are down 3-4% and only a couple or minor tokens are not feeling the selling pressure at the moment.

From my point of view, I think it's like a pyramid or Ponzi scheme type of investment. However, I can't say it's a scam (maybe not yet) but, I will not invest my savings in it. I've been scammed many times in the past with the same type of multi-level marketing, so that's it as I've already learned my lessons.

I really don't understand what makes people think that selling cryptocurrency, more especially those in the top 10 is a stupid decision.

Let's discuss.
