$20 million USDTs on an address known to belong to the Kucoin hacker have been frozen said Paolo Ardoino, Bitfinex’s COO.
Another $13 million have been frozen on EOS “as part of the hack,” Ardoino said.

30,000,000 USD is very large and it is good for Tether to continue if an exchange is hacked and Tether is frozen.

Maybe KuCoin has many weaknesses in various security and KuCoin has large funds in its cold wallet.

Exchange hack isn't a new issue. I welcome the decision of freezing $30M USDT after hacked of Kucoin. I was in fear after hacked but my funds were safe there as they immediately did action. Hence Tether did also action that saved many users' funds.

It's terrible that Kucoin is so careless that it can be stolen by various hackers.
I don't mean to corner the Kucoin Exchange but this is a fact, where Kucoin lost a lot of money because it was hacked.

And the COO from Bitfinex, Paolo Arduino, is very deft at locking and freezing the stolen money quickly and correctly.
