secret voting and open counting could be better. 
a google form and proof of post can easily provide this.
True, it's not closed and secret as a democratic process. Instead open and transparent, as well as verify-able
Personally, I not only wouldn't trust a closed election via a google form that wasn't accountable (no offence to admin or president), simply because trust appears unnecessary when able to verify, but also wouldn't trust the high participation that we are seeing from having this election for senators as an open process. I respect your criticism none the less though, maybe in the future elections will in fact be closed.
I'll wait for the election to get more exciting before I vote. so I will have a critical vote that determines the result.
