Good question, everyone sees BTC continuously increasing in price and thinks "just hold for the long term and it will be profitable". However, the concept of "long-term" is very different for each investor, and usually they all act according to their understanding, meaning some people hold long-term for 4 weeks ^^

The way you take BTC and think about it is wrong I am not judging you but simply trying to say we should not take everything for guaranteed. Past patterns and past data do not mean we should trust 100% on our analysis. The future can bring anything in front of you. And to be honest, at the current moment, I don't think in any way BTC could reach $150k in this or upcoming bull run either.

I agree with you, holding is the best and safest option to make a good profit, but take a few factors into account holding might look easy even some will say holding is better than trading but there are many factors that are hard to follow in holding. A few of them are emotions, patience, when to exit and when to enter, etc. In my view controlling emotions is the biggest limitation of holdings.

You look so excited and sure that BTC will touch $150k dollars but I must say never raise hopes that will disappoint you in the end. Only raise enough hope that can make you happy.
