I prefer potential coins, because it can make coins to survive in an unstable market. Risks are always there and can come at any time, and always survive when prices fall and only sell when the price is higher than the time of purchase.

Most people are investors.Many try to buy cheap and sell more expensive.I personally now short-term trade not am...I do not trade now, I just watch the market.

Before I'm a day trader also known as short term trader, I've stop to do day trade because its too risky and very stressful since you have to be careful in choosing a coin that you want to trade. And the market is very volatile.

Eventually after research also we have to face loss many times. I used to take margin around 10% on my capital. If I lose 10% of my capital then decide to sell if I can't see any next pump and wait for the good bottom. Not that much profit but limited profit with my safe capital. Even make part of capital like short term, long term and hold also.

I think it is by limiting yourself and making a cut loss marker in your  investment.
You should also consider how much could you go with it and how long could you hold it.

I think You can manage the risk of crypto. You must be carreful to choose ICO and crypto coin. Hold when low dont panic.

if I choose projects that I really like or have proven good projects (I usually see on icobench and so on including websites and white paper)
depending on the needs for example I have more money I will buy (see also the market and good coins) if the market stays down and there are no changes for 2 weeks, maybe I will sell it.
