And I was just about coming here to create a similar thread announcing that Bitcoin price is finally gone below the $60,000 range which many assumed to be the support, and I can't help but ask, what exactly is causing this seemingly steady decline?, is this still a healthy correction or is there to this?

Personally, I am not bother at all, for I have been in crypto since 2016 and have seen and witnessed worser times, I am just trying to understand if there could be a good reason for the decline, so as to know if it's time to buy more bitcoins, or just wait for it to decline further.

Anyways, I learnt that CZ sentencing is happening today and now( if not over already; actually), could this have contributed to the general market major downturn we experienced today?

At first, people completely wrongly estimated the effects of spot ETFs in the US, and now they think that everything is over and that they should wait the next four years for a new bull run. Maybe there really won't be a big bull run this year or next year, maybe history won't repeat itself, but that's the risk of all those who invest in Bitcoin just to make a profit.

In addition, I used to tell people that if they can't invest in BTC for a period of at least 3-4 years, to spare themselves the trouble and annoyance and the expectation that they will become millionaires overnight. There's a lottery for that sort of thing, and many of us will be betting our lucky numbers and hoping to become millionaires this week, right?
Lol 😂, very well said bud, unfortunately, as long as the cryptocurrency market is open for everyone 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, we can never do away with people who will invest a hundred dollar today and expect to cash out a hundred thousand dollars tomorrow, seeing that things like this used to happen in the early day of bitcoin and the crypto market at large, most especially with altcoins, people think it's still possible for such to happen even now that the market have become more matured, especially when ever they hear or learn that Bitcoin halving is approaching, some people with experience in the market actually do not invest in bitcoin until halving is close, because based on previous circles, bitcoin always pumps sometime after halving lol,  and when sometime, the pump seems like it's not happening, they begin to ask questions like I was asked 😂.

Anyways, we never can get rid of such people from the market, it absolutely normal thing if you ask me.

Hi ladies and gentlemen, greeting to everyone.

I am coming with a concern, we all know how big Solana blockchain have grown to become since the beginning of this year, and how popular it has become as well, which I believe we all can agree and give courtesy to meme coins as the sole foundation to how popular the Sol network have become.

Being a good user of dextools and Dexscreeener myself, I can tell you all that a meme coins is been launched in Sol network almost every second of a ticking clock, and no doubt, this has propelled Sol tokens to its new height, since alot if meme coin lovers are buying Sol, which is used as transaction fees on the Sol network.

But then, I fear for Sol coin, and the Solana blockchain in general, for I believe that at some point in the future, meme coins will fade away, not completely, but they will possibly seize to become as popular as they are right now, and by then, not many new memecoin will be birthed on the Sol network, what then becomes of Solana? Since based on my personally research, there are just a few utility projects have built on Solana, the rest are all meme coins.

Do you think that in the coming 10 years from now, Sol token will still be as, or more valuable as it is today, and the Solana block chain still be relevant and useful to and for the crypto community?

Let's discuss about this if you don't mind.

Meme Coins / Re: Solana MemeCoins And Its Continued Growth; $MANEKI.
« on: April 30, 2024, 09:48:01 PM »
For persons invested in trading memes, these themes often help propel the growth of meme tokens. Thus far, it has earned Bitget listing. I'll truly want to know your thoughts about $MANEKI and Solana Gems generally.
Well, for Maneki - which is said to be a Chinese based meme coin themed to mean Goodluck as you mentioned, I think this is just another one Solana based meme coins that managed to pull through into a centralized exchange listing amongst the millions that have failed to achieve same result.
And biget seem to be the very first centralized exchange this meme coins always gets listed on, though I have heard the name, "Maneki" mentioned by to notable people I follow on X, I personally have not really taken the time to find out more about this coin, but I wouldn't immediately trust it will do well, not until it captures the attention of another exchange listing in the top 10 centralized exchanges.

And speaking on Solana meme coins in general, sorry to say but their are shit, and the fact that solana have become a meme coins dominated blockchain even looks dangerous for the blockchain, for what happens to them when the meme narrative eventually fades away?

Meme Coins / Re: Started by two whales who know how to HODL
« on: April 30, 2024, 09:38:00 PM »
At this point, I have to say that 99.9 percent of all Solana based meme coins have become nothing but absolute nonsense, developers seem to have all run out of ideas on what funny names to call their new meme coins which is created for no other intention other than to scam people.

I love meme coins, but right now, Ive resolved to not buy new Solana meme coins anymore, but rather hold the quality ones I've bought previously, I have lost a good sum of money trying to buy into the next billion dollar market cap meme coin while it's still at $10,000 market cap, I am tired of trying and right now, I am happy to return back to investing in only quality projects.

Thank you very much NotATether..
++ for I consider this a very vital information passed to this community here, I need not say that I am very familiar with Wasabi wallet, I was one of their signature ad participants way back then when they first began promoting their service on bitcointalk, and like you said, they were considered as one of the best bitcoin wallet for the bitcoin community.
And I also knew when the whole about them blacklisting UTXOs started, it's a thing the community on bitcointalk frowned at, but like every persons who ran a centralized service, it was hard for them to turn back, which means that they will ultimately lose the power of control, or being in charge, just exactly the same type fear the government have if they allow crypto to dominate over fiat.

Wasabi wallet coming out now to shut off US users proves one thing, and that is that they are centralized, and I believe this should act as a proof to all that have defended Wasabi all this years, I stopped using this wallet a long time ago by the way, I will advice users here who value their privacy and anonymity to also adhere to this advice.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Anonymity - good or bad?
« on: April 30, 2024, 09:09:32 AM »
However, this anonymity has its downsides, it's easy to get scammed. Additionally, there are legal concerns, especially regarding taxation. Some countries are even reducing anonymity to prevent tax evasion. What do you think is a good balance between maintaining privacy and reducing potential misuse in the crypto space?
If we are to talk about the physical world where we all live, I would not see anonymity as such a good thing because just like you said, people can easily get scammed, a person can easily impersonate another person, commit a crime and disappear, and the person who was impersonated will be arrested, prosecuted for a crime he or she knows nothing about, this and many more are the disadvantages of anonymity in the physical world, and I would say that they are too enormous, that is, the disadvantage outweighs the advantage, so, anonymity in the physical world is not advised.

But coming back to online and to crypto in particular, anonymity is a very good thing,  keeping your true identity a secret helps prevent other online users from using your personal details for illegal activities, I've seen some persons download other people profile pics from platforms like Facebook, x, and use the Pic as their own profile Pic in their account, using that same account to scam other online users.
So, keeping your identity hidden online is a good thing I personally would encourage, and about scam, it's our individual responsibility to ensure our online safety, trust no one and trust no offer, no matter how good it appears to be.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What tokens are trending?
« on: April 30, 2024, 08:55:58 AM »
Guys let's talk about trending tokens. Recently , many tokens are thriving and have made their investors some good gains.
which ones are currently trending, and is it too late to invest in them?
Well, I have not read other people's comment on this to know what their contributions to this is, but personally, and based on my experience, investing in trending tokens doesn't or does not guarantee profit, in fact, it is actually risky to invest in tokens when they are trending, and this is because at this time, there is the chances that the price has gone up, and for the price of that coin or token to continue to go up, it depends on the utility and or community behind such project.

So, in the nutshell and to cut it all short, it is better to find coins or tokens and invest in them before they trend, so that when it gets to that stage where other people have discovered that coin or token, you are in a better position to decide whether to sell/take profit, or just keep holdling because you believe that the price of that coin or token will do way better in the future.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Is there still going to be a bull run?
« on: April 30, 2024, 12:41:34 AM »
"hi bud, is there still going to be a bull run this year?"

😂 Noob question yeah!, but thats what a dude asked me this evening, he's a newbie though, he joined crypto late January this year (2024), I wasnt the one who introduced crypto to him, but he approached me one time in February, and I assisted him on buying his first bitcoin, and since then, he's been investing on his own.

But I was surprised when he asked me if there was still going to be a bull run this year, I paused for a while cus I didn't know what to answer him, I've never discussed anything concerning or patterning to bull run with him before, so I was a kind of puzzled when he asked me that.

Later on, I simply told him I don't know, that I can't predict the market, but then, I could notice he wasn't satisfied with that answer, he probably expected me to say "yes", as a way for him to reassure himself of his expections, but then again, I couldn't lie to him.

I am as well putting out the same question out here for the  community, is there still going to be a bull run this year? Or should we just pack our bags and go home? 😬😁

If you are a fast learner, then you can get some pdf or read books that would increase your understanding about what Bitcoin mixing really entails and the mechanism that the work done without any issue or problem.
If you want to use a mixer like Unijoin, then you do not have to go that far. It is not rocket science, and the mixing process is easy, even for a newbie, all they need is to create a new BTC address to receive mixed coins and set the delay time. Once you deposit the coins, the mixer will handle the rest.

It is entirely unnecessary for him to learn the technical operations of Bitcoin and, by extension, the Blockchain, just to enable him to use coin mixing services like Unijoin.

In my opinion, as long as you have been in the crypto space and have ever transferred and/or transacted Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency for that matter, then you can easily use coin mixing services.

However, if he is suggesting to read up on Blockchain and Bitcoin, then he is probably inferring that coin mixing services like Unijoin are difficult to use and practically unsafe unless, of course, who he is replying to is interested in understanding the underlying technology the coin mixing service is built upon, and in that regard, it makes sense to refer him to a technical document not on Bitcoin but on the mixing service itself.
You are completely right and I 100 precent agree with you, it is just like being a driver, one does not have any need to understand how a car engine functions to drive the car, you just simply learn how to drive, which consists of turning the steering as it should, while shifting gears as it should (for manual drive), for automatic drive, one doesn't even have to shift gears or have to know anything  on how the gearbox works, they just enter a car and drive.

Same exactly as you have explained it, using a mixing service only needs the user to know how to send and recieve crypto, that all, there is absolutely no need going into reading the  technical aspect of how bitcoin functions or so, doing this may likely create confusion in the mind of the user, who may likely see it all as very difficult to understand, where as it's something that is very easy.

Does anyone have experience with crypto loans? Are there platforms known for having better terms and lower interest rates? ;D
Well, I have no experience with crypto loans, but I am actually a user of several platforms where crypto loans are one of the services they offer, and what I have to say about this is that, different platforms have their different rules, criterias that must be meet and as well as requirements, and most Importantly, the collateral is what matters, for sometimes, the interest rate is always very friendly if you ask me, but being able to provide the type of collateral the platform request for is mostly the hardest part of getting crypto loans.

But again, I think you should also reconsider what you said about saving up to solve your issues instead of taking a loan, this is actually very good if you can discipline yourself well to abide by this, nothing is good as having no loan repayment schedule bugging your mind, most especially when you are not able to meet up.

@cryptofied
Good post mate. But I have used some or few Bitcoin mixers and there are notable differences in them, so what are those similarities or differences that unijoin mixer has that makes it stands out or fall short when being compared to other exchange.

Right not I can still say the Bitcoin transaction fee is still high so any mixer that has additional high fees to this should be out of the list of options. How fast is the transaction on unijoin Bitcoin mixer.
Speaking of fees, I mixed some bitcoins on Unijoin some few days ago when the sats per vbyte was around 45 sats, and I for a pretty good result, atleast, I was very happy with the output for I expected a bit less due to the high bitcoin transactions fees.
Currently, the sats per vbyte is at around 25 sats, and this means that the bitcoin transactions fees have greatly reduced compared to what it was at at the beginning of the week, this means that, if you are mixing now, fees shouldn't really be a thing to worry about, most especially, if you choose Unijoin.

And speaking of how fast it is to transaction on Unijoin, I would rate my first and second experience a 9 out of 10, while mixing, you see a time at which you wish to receive your mixed coins, both times I mixed, my mixed bitcoins arrived to my wallet at the exact time I set, not even a 2 second late.

Nigerian Languages / Re: When Binance returns, will you return back?
« on: April 27, 2024, 03:31:44 PM »
Some sanctions and policies do not always stay the same for long, they can change while a government is still in power, or when they pass power on to a new government. I think that Binance will be back to Nigeria, and when they come back, how willing do you think Nigerians who are into cryptocurrency will be to return back to them for exchange services?
Binance is a big exchange, regardless say the failed to fight for their Nigerian customers, and the worst of them is CZ, CZ is a very good man to the global cryptocurrency market as a whole, but then, he has failed his Nigerian users multiple times, I guess the nigga is like me wey no dey like to chuk mouth to wetin I believe say e no concern me, but all the same, it's bad that he never made any supportive comments as regards to his Nigerian customers in times when people expected him to atleast say something, like for example, during the end Sars protest, even Elon musk showed support for the Nigerian youths, but CZ never made any comment regarding the matter, seems hes just after making money from Nigerians and that's all.

If Binance definitely returns back to nigeria, I believe some Nigerians will return back to the exchange to continue trading, while some will remain where they are currently, but for me, the only reason why I will possibly return back to Binance is if I get a better deal there, else, I will just remain where I am currently, which is okx and remitano.

The thing is no one exactly knows how long the campaign they plan to transfer would be running. Some really do prefer to find a higher-paying campaign due to their own reasons. Personally, I don't do this as I also want to be part of a long-term campaign.

But yes, that's also a hassle for campaign managers to find a replacement participant for the campaign as they need to filter all the applying participants and find the best fit for the position.

Finding the participant to fill the open slot will not be a big task for the manager since people will be ready to rain applications even if it's one free slots and who says no to money. ;)

You are right and I completely agree with you, from my personally observations, for the campaign managers to find a replacement for a user or some users who left the campaign and created open slot(s) isn't always that much of a hassle compared to when the campaign starts newly and the manager have to select the best participants for the campaign, I personally believe that to fill an or open slots, the manager already knows who and who to accept their application even before he or she declares the campaign open to accepting new applicant(s).

Quote

But some members may tend to have it as habit of switching one from another and if they accepted this week and participant decided to switch in the next week may create bad impression and will not likely to be accepted in the future.
Well, also very correct, some users have that habit of shifting from one campaign to another which most of the time is either..
1. For a higher paying campaign.
2. Or for a campaign where they find the campaign requirement more comfortable and convinient for them.
3. Or just for fun.

As in number 3, some users switch between campaigns just for fun, but participants only do this when there is an abundance of campaigns with open slots on the forum, not when the forum is running shot of campaigns with open slots.
