Why is Bitcoin price dumping before Bitcoin halving?
« on: January 24, 2024, 09:11:41 AM »
The first Bitcoin halving began in 2012, before the Bitcoin halving, the price of Bitcoin dropped significantly as investors were allowed to buy Bitcoin. 2016, 2020 produced similar historical signs of Bitcoin price decline. The price of Bitcoin has also fallen significantly during this halving in 2024, currently there are only 87 days left until the Bitcoin halving takes place. In the year following the Bitcoin halving, the price of Bitcoin rose again to its highest level. So currently I see the biggest investment opportunity in Bitcoin price before this Bitcoin halving. So those of you who are still without Bitcoin investment must use this opportunity to get huge profits in the future.

By looking at this chart you will surely understand.

I think that the title you have chosen for the thread is not the most appropriate, or I don't know if it is a translation error because in the OP you don't answer the question of the title.

As for what you say, I agree, history shows us that now is a very good opportunity to buy, but we must bear in mind that what has happened historically does not have to be repeated. I think the most likely thing is that it will repeat itself and that we will have a good rise after halving, but we cannot be sure.

Good chart, even people who don't understand price movements will certainly understand the chart you provide. Assuming that ETFs do not have too big an impact, it may also be part of the cycle, considering that until now the BTC market is moving towards a correction.

It all made sense, and I just wanted to be the witness, not the indigo. Seeing the situation after the halving, whether it is really a bull run or not, is the most crucial moment in 2024. It seems that in April - May, these signs will already be visible.

The history of bitcoin is almost the same as before bearish then bullish after halving and the fact is that this often repeats itself, but now it cannot be sure, only predicts that this will remain the same, not much different maybe from the different scenarios.

Anyone who takes advantage of this opportunity well means that they buy bitcoin before halving or high prices then he is entering the area still below because the current price of $ 40K is still quite relatively low, so this opportunity is still quite long but should not be missed.

Some charts show that after the 1-year halving it will reach record highs again, maybe because we are still hopeful about it.

We can't say when Bitcoin exactly will be bullish. By reviewing Bitcoin's past history, we can naturally make some guesses as to when Bitcoin might be bullish. After 2012, 2016 and 2020 we are moving towards another halving. However, even if the halving is held in the middle of this year, we are not sure that the market will remain the same until the end of this year and the pending halving may be a bull run next year.

Trading is a secure platform so we cannot interrupt its normal process. Moreover, there are always various strategies working in the trading market. Some are thinking to sell now and buy again at a lower price, while others are keeping it, it is a personal decision. But in recent times these ETF and whale investors are trying to influence the market sentiment and miners are also selling their bitcoins so many people are selling their bitcoins emotionally which is a big mistake of theirs. Be firm on your decisions no matter what the market moves.

Your analysis is right, although its totally based on the historical data, and it is also funny that how market always come down before the halving, like you mention before 2012, 2016 and 2020 halving the price of BTC came down and gave investors a good chance to enter the market and same thing is happening now. But the funny thing is, every time market comes down due to unique and different reasons.

This time market came down due to the highly volatility activities of big volume movements, billions of dollars are being transacted on ETFs that have made it highly volatile. I agree with your advice because those who are still in doubt that BTC will come near to $35k or $30k they will regret by losing this opportunity. Your charts already indicates the lowest point that we can get BTC on and that is around $39k in my opinion. So, for long and short terms traders, invest but with your own research.

After ETF approved, bitcoin went down.
Yeah, Current bitcoin has correction now.
Several whales have sold their BTC, I also heard FTX sold BTC

Good chart will make me  interest to do trading.
We should have good knowledge to analize the chart.
If we see a good chart , although we didnt know about market, we can analize it.

I think that the title you have chosen for the thread is not the most appropriate, or I don't know if it is a translation error because in the OP you don't answer the question of the title.

This type of title is not something that is new to most of us I believe, for even on btt, most of us do come across titles that seem like a questionnaire to readers, only for you to get into the thread, and you discover that the op is saying something completely different, or he has answered his or her question by him or herself, like it is with this one.
I personally usually don't give much attention to such because, I assume that, not every is that perfect in giving their thread a perfect title.

As for what you say, I agree, history shows us that now is a very good opportunity to buy, but we must bear in mind that what has happened historically does not have to be repeated. I think the most likely thing is that it will repeat itself and that we will have a good rise after halving, but we cannot be sure.
And I agree with you, history doesn't have to repeat all the time, but for bitcoin, that narrative seems to be false, as the number of bull runs and the time it usually happens or comes around has made this look like a bull run in every four year cycle has become a norm, and something we all should always look out for.
But personally, I have this feeling that 2024/2025 will be the biggest bull run seasons in the history of bitcoin and crypto in general, and this will possibly be the last bull run because after bitcoin reaches the new all time high it will reach in coming months, it will never create a new all time high.

This is the area  I am focusing on and telling everyone to see the coming bull run as their last opportunity to making it through crypto, after this, there may never be another like this one again.

There are many news out there and they said it's a deeper Bitcoin price correction.
The chart on the past is the same as what happens today.

I don't think they are dumping what I guess they are clearing those weak hands and letting other new investors buy a cheap Bitcoin.

Current update why bitcoin price dumping before halving because FTX sold their bitcoin assets, its very bad news due many bitcoin still hold by FTX and bring large impact with bitcoin price drop drastically. Usually have bad news why bitcoin price drastically dump although ETFs approval and without three months later have bitcoin halving, I don't sure when for bitcoin bounce  to higher price again will one month before halving or this time halving can't bring positive side to make bitcoin get new all time high price.
Just take moment awhile keep accumulate bitcoin as much possibility before raising to higher price or become more longer holder waiting until bitcoin break out top price.

OP, I don't think there is any proof for a valid reason as to why the price of Bitcoin is falling. If you have been in crypto for a long time, you should know that the price of bitcoin is usually volatile, irrespective of which season it is. There are no written rules stating that the price of Bitcoin must never fall during the halving year, so there is nothing really wrong with the fact that the price dropped significantly from $47k. That was actually how it also rose from $42k to the high of this month.

Every dip is an opportunity for investors to buy more. I believe that some whales are even happier that they have the opportunity to buy more Bitcoin around $38k again. Although this might be the last correction before and after the halving, Just hold your bitcoin in your portfolio; don't panic, and don't be in a rush to sell.

Taking advantage of each decline as an opportunity is the best course of action for now, provided you have money to spare to buy back.
Not only are whales happy with this decline, but retailers who are already ready will start adding to their portfolios.

But we also don't know if this will be the last correction or not, it's better to take advantage of it before the price goes back up.
Whales also do a lot of manipulations to make this price go down, and then there will be manipulations that make the market FOMO so that you will get more profit.

Re: Why is Bitcoin price dumping before Bitcoin halving?
« Reply #13 on: January 24, 2024, 11:14:57 PM »
By looking at this chart you will surely understand.
It doesnt have to be exact same scenario like in previous times but I am expecting price to increase before this year halving event.
Important thing for everyone to remember is to stay with cool head and know that price will go down and crash after, so dont panic and sell on bottom or buy on top  ;D

Re: Why is Bitcoin price dumping before Bitcoin halving?
« Reply #14 on: January 24, 2024, 11:30:30 PM »

It is difficult to understand the exact cause for everything, usually we accept such price behavior to apply and predict for the future.

Try explaining, I can give some reasons as follows:
+ BTC price usually recovers in the second year after ATH, and often recovers to Fibo 0.786.
+ Then an adjustment takes place to cool the growth period and BTC price is often pushed to Fibo 0.618 at Halving to re-accumulate energy for the growth after Halving.

I explained more details here:
