This shows that the interest from accredited investors and institutions continues to grow. Not only Bitcoin (BTC) is calling the attention of traders but other digital assets are also doing so. One of them is Ethereum, considering this is the second most valuable virtual currency in the world.
Traders entering the market could have a large influence on the price of this cryptocurrency. If demands continue to grow and the bull market keeps for several months, Ethereum may certainly double in price.
Expanding Decentralized Finance
One of the main things that are helping the market to move forward is related to decentralized finance. Decentralized Finance, also known as DeFi is pushing the Ethereum ecosystem to the next level.
There are several projects that are gathering and attracting several funds to the ecosystem and this could have massive implications for Ethereum. The second-largest blockchain network in the world is known for providing smart contracts to the market. This is now evolving towards DeFi, which is becoming an industry itself in the crypto space.

It's hard to say with certainty whether Ethereum can go up to $ 540 this year. But for me the value is not too high when compared to 2017, and because of the fluctuating price of cryptocurrency, I am optimistic that Ethereum will be able to reach that value in 2020.

I think this is very problematic to predict at this time in nCOVID-19 situation that when ETH will hit double. At the same time market is very much volatile that is you see in this bad situation ETH hit $170 from $130. So that no body can not predict accurately about this market. Just see whats happening.

Actually I hope Ethereum prices can go up faster than you predicted. The price of $500 can be reached at the end of the second quarter or at the beginning of the third quarter. So that at the end of this year Ethereum prices could reach $1,000.

Actually I hope Ethereum prices can go up faster than you predicted. The price of $500 can be reached at the end of the second quarter or at the beginning of the third quarter. So that at the end of this year Ethereum prices could reach $1,000.
This may well happen with the price of ethereum, since in the next few months we expect Ethereum 2.0 to appear on this coin and these improvements should significantly raise its price. Therefore, doubling its current price this year is not a problem. I think the value of ethereum will increase even more.

You are right, the value of Ethereum has improved doubled this year, from $125 to $260. Now, it should need time to double again. I don't think it will be in 2020, the chance is likely in 2021. So, just wait for a year to see the next double move in Ethereum price.

Due to corona virus companies, banks, restaurants, tourist spots and sports events shutdown. If this pandemic will last long it is possible to experience scarcity and economic shortage.
It means to say no money to buy cryptocurrency as long as shutdown is effective.

Without any reason this year it will not be happen because the opportunity of ETH price going double ended Already this year..you know all crypto currency price related with bit coin.. So if bitcoin price go up them another currency price go up too and btc price influence eth most that last month btc price go up around 9.5k$ and eth price was 209$ ...so this year btc price can't go more than 12k$ so basically the eth can't be double anymore this year..and in future price predictions we can't say beacuse eth price can be zero too like oil

I agree with your thoughts buddy, I am not confident that ethereum will have a major pump within this year because the pandemic is devastating the economic sector of our society. The world is really sick by now. Many people have loss their income and struggling to survive, however there are still who remain loyal to the cryptoworld and since almost everyone is staying at home they tend to put money on investment cryptocirrency and other platform that they could gain money.
I will just cross my fingers and would just see what will happen next in the coming months. 2020 is very unpredictable year for all of us.

We dont know that yet. Yes it is one of the best platform, I think reaching another ATH would take time for eth. Im not saying there is no chance but erh price also related to bitcoin movement. Just an observation, if btc is increasing all altcoins especially major coins follow as well in the pump and even dump. Considering the migration to PoS, dont worry eth still have chance and a good buy for long term investment.

Ethereum did it already, in fact now is at $394 nearer to go beyond $400. Ethereum activity is progressive and vigilant that can achieve $1,000 this year.

there is a lot of concern when the cost of ethereum gas is increasing, but when Eip-1559 and the beacon chain are running the supply of coins will decrease and increase the price of ETH

Ethereum now costs around 2300 USD and if the price wants to double then it means it has to go up to 4600 USD and this I believe will only take a moment because Ethereum believes it can get to that price.
Just look at the community of Ethereum because Ethereum is really huge and with a multiple of that double I'm sure it can be done by mobilizing all traders to create a new Pump.

Yes, I see Ethereum is going up again now . It's slowly but by seeing the chart, Ethereum will touch 4k USD soon.
It's just prediction, because I don't believe bearish season at this year.

We know the fact that it is possible to hit $10K in a short time regardless of the current condition. It is just too early to predict the easy $10K. Though it is possible but never to see a pattern JUST in mooning easy $10K. Let see ;D

You are right. To reach $10k isn't something easy although Ethereum is the king of altcoins. The current price is about $2.5k, very far from $10k. I think to reach $5k is more reasonable than predicting to reach $10k. Remember that crypto price needs time to increase, there is no instant way for Ethereum value to be $10k.

As also what Jamal Aezaz said "price will 5x in end of this year." Ethereum investment is not a waste of time. Though it may decrease now, then later would increase as we know how the sudden fluctuate occur. Not guarantee to 5x, but possible. ;) ;D

I like the idea of buying 1.2 Eth then selling that .2 Eth when it's worth the full 1.2 investment. Now you made all your money back and you still have 1 full eth left to hold for when it reaches 50k+ in the next 4-5 years.

As what happened to Ethereum. The price doesn't only double but it is multiple times higher. Now the price itself can touch $3,579.92. And this is predicted still going to increase again and again in the future at least during this bullish era.
