Bitcoin is the mother coin and all other coins just modifications of the premier coin. I really don't see how any altcoin will do better than bitcoin and so I will go for bitcoin in any situation. However, Eth is also doing very well and so holding some will be a good idea

I think there is no way any other coin will outgrow bitcoin. but ethereum has great potential. it has cheaper transaction fee and is apprpriate for people with minimal income. holding some is not a bad idea.

This is a tough one looking at the statistics on coinmarketcap at the moment. Both coins seems to be on a slope to the south but i will choose to hold Bitcoin because if things were to beam up on these coins Bitcoin will rise like crazy way above Ethereum. I usually want to choose both Bitcoin and Ethereum to buy and hold over the others. Both of them have the capability of recovering that fast because of them being the top 1 and 2 cryptos in market capitalization, trading volume and acceptance.
Before I started DCA with Bitcoin, I used to hold almost 2 Ethereum where I bought it below $200. However, it's all gone thanks to that hacker who manipulated my mind and hacked my wallets months ago. Now that I have learned my lesson, I've got no choice but to slowly recover from it. Thank God I am in good hands because of multiple opportunities in this space.
I keep doing DCA with Bitcoin every month and may plan to add for Ethereum once my monthly average income increases.

I think if the question is bitcoin and ethereum, I think it's better to hold bitcoin, but because bitcoin is priced quite high there's no harm in holding ethereum. actually both are equally good but ethereum won't make a big difference, when compared to BNB. BNB had increased 10x more and it could be done again but not with ethereum, although it's not bad to keep holding ethereum at this time.
