Title: Russia says it will accept Bitcoin for its oil and gas exports
Post by: Freemind on March 25, 2022, 12:24:01 PM
I really don't know how to interpret this news yet as it is very recent and there is not as much information as I would like, but I think now the Chinese government can take a step to show the world what it really thinks about Bitcoin. We know that Bitcoin is still being bought and sold in China, but in different markets than they were used to. I would like to know if there are more "friendly" countries besides Turkey and China on Russia's list...

Here is the article of this news: https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/currencies/russia-bitcoin-oil-gas-friendly-countries-china-turkey-energy-minister-2022-3

It's a good news If Russia says it will accept Bitcoin for its oil and gas exports.
We don't know about Chinese government at the coming years, they will accept bitcoin or not, In my prediction They will be.
Bitcoin is the future currency, I think the big countries like Chinese and Russia will own consideration to allow crypto.
Let's see.

I think on the one hand it is positive as Bitcoin will be used and more people will know about it, but I think it also has a negative side because many countries could start to see Bitcoin as something “used for evil”. Fortunately, every day more people know about cryptocurrencies and how they work, but at some point this step taken by the Russian government may be counterproductive for the crypto ecosystem. At the moment I think it is better to wait until more information is available.

Which country will pay them in Bitcoin though? The EU doesn't even want to pay them in roubles.
As for Bitcoin's reputation, I agree. Bitcoin will suffer if it gets the reputation of being used to fund a war.

I don't think any country is willing to use Bitcoin to pay for Russian oil or gas. That would force many countries to buy Bitcoin and Russia would earn much more money than it already earns every day thanks to exports, and that does not suit any country, least of all the countries of the European Union. I think that this measure would be very "forced" by the Russian government since they are seeing that they are economically very isolated and that they can end up with a very big economic crisis, I think it is a desperate measure.

This is actually development but the thing is that the acceptance of Bitcoin is limited to countries that are friendly to Russia like China or maybe even Belarus. Now, if this move will mean that China will change its mind on Bitcoin then it is just another wishful thinking all because China has already established relationship with Russia and both countries ca do business without bothering anyone or using anything new. In other words, this is another good press release for Bitcoin but at the end of the day will not be a major step forward in terms of adoption, actually.

If this is so, then it will be very good for both Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market, because various countries will invest huge money in Bitcoin to buy oil and gas and thus Bitcoin price will grow on an ongoing basis, but what will Russia do with these Bitcoins it will be interesting to see.

To clarify things up, this is just a “proposal” as what I have read in the article. So it’s not yet final. Other similar articles that I’ve read on Google are with these words like “might”, “consider” and “considering”. But we don’t know yet on which country would be willing to pay Russia in BTC for exporting oil and natural gas.

Right, it's a proposal. But considering what the Russian economy is going through, I wouldn't be surprised if they approved this proposal. It is also possible that the Russian government will approve the proposal to legalize crypto mining, they know that their economy is suffering, but they also know that if things stay the same and they continue to receive sanctions, things could be much worse for the country, and that would create an internal crisis that could be devastating.

That's true, It's just proposal, I think Russian government will consider about it.
Or maybe will refuse this proposal.
It's nice to see biztcoin will usable for payment method.
Although we know bitcoin price is volatile, yeah high volatile.
It's the basic factor for Russian to accept or refuse bitcoin as oil and gas payment.
If Russia accept, we will see bitcoin price touch 250K USD soon.

The sanctions imposed by many countries on Russia have caused the Ruble to lose much of its value. The Russian government needs money to avoid falling into a great economic depression that could last for many years, since it would be a disaster for the population. For its oil and gas sales, the Russian government recently said it would accept rubles, so other countries would increase the value of the ruble. If the countries refuse to pay in rubles, they are likely to accept these proposals.

Russia is the parent for the cryptocurrency market because almost the large community is from Russia and Ethereum cryptocurrencies were also created by people from Russia.
Oil and Gas is definitely needed by everyone, including in industry and households, in every country this is definitely in need and as a result Russia has the best access to being able to market Bitcoin through Oil and Gas trading.

Personally, I would not like to see Russia accept Bitcoin as payment for oil and gas. If that were to happen, I think unfortunately a lot of people would see Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as something that the "enemy of the world" can easily use to avoid sanctions, and that is something that does not interest any of us in the world of cryptocurrencies. If Putin does not want to accept Dollars or Euros for his oil and gas, he should seek other alternatives together with Europe and leave from Ukraine immediately.

Russia can keep saying whatever it wants. Even what she will take for her oil and gas in gold bars. Only because of the war she unleashed in Ukrin, fewer states want to buy them in Russia. Europe has been discussing a complete embargo on Russian oil for quite some time now. The solution of this issue as a whole is moving forward and whatever decision is made, the fact remains: Europe has taken a course towards refusing to buy oil and gas from Russia. This decision was brewing without a war, because of the need to combat abrupt climate change. Therefore, it is clear that difficult times await Russia.

The Central Bank of Russia has already stated on this occasion that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are not a salvation for Russia from international sanctions, because the United States and other countries that have imposed sanctions are also taking appropriate measures against cryptocurrencies. Therefore, Russia will not use bitcoin to circumvent sanctions. Of course, this is the official position. But in fact, they can try to do it. But it will not be regular and in significant volumes.

One thing is what the Russian government says and another thing is what the Russian government does. I personally believe that these statements have no credibility, especially if we remember what the Russian government said when it was sending troops to the border with Ukraine, it said that they were just military exercises and we already know that they were not. The Russian government will use cryptocurrencies, Gold or anything in its power to avoid sanctions, it is the only thing that can save Putin from citizens rising up against him.

when the russian state starts accepting payments using bitcoin to make payments in oil and gas it will certainly have a major influence on bitcoin price movements because the largest oil and gas producer in the world is in russia so that when bitcoin is used it will increase the bitcoin price significantly.

If this happens, then we will see very high prices for bitcoin, probably this is the right decision in order to control the cryptocurrency market as well. The price will have to jump very sharply and will break all bitcoin price records.

I personally hope that the Russian government will never accept Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency as a payment method for oil or gas. If the Russian government accepted cryptocurrencies, it would be a shock to the market in general, I know, but you always have to look further. That would be the beginning of crypto sanctions by most countries in the world, and that would affect the industry very negatively. Being patient and building industry and projects is worth it.

I'm not sure, but let's see if this will actually happen.  Indeed, Russia has a great influence in the world, be it from the economic sector or otherwise. However, this cryptocurrency is widespread and cannot be controlled by a country. Russia accepts Bitcoin as a means of payment for oli and gas purchases it is good, but this does not mean it will be able to increase the price of Bitcoin.

I still think it would not be good for the industry. Although at first I thought that it could be good to give more visibility to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, then I realized the current international scenario. All the countries that are economically sanctioning Russia would also impose sanctions (of any kind) against cryptocurrencies, and that will be very negative for the industry and probably a collapse, that is why I hope that the Russian government will finally not accept cryptocurrencies as a payment method.

Maybe they think that by accepting Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, they can make it easier to deal with the sanctions that the world has given to this country, because with Cryptocurrencies they can freely carry out activities in it.

I thought the same thing at first, and I suppose the initial approach of the Russian government is the same, to avoid international sanctions, but then I thought of the other side, the countries that impose the sanctions. If the Russian government finally accepts cryptocurrencies, it could trigger very serious problems for exchanges around the world, and therefore we would also have more problems, maybe having a "more complete and severe" KYC or a general shutdown or blocking of DEXs, in cases like this, I know we could use VPN to bypass ISP blocking, but it would make things difficult for us.

It is very possible that Russia will accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, what is not certain yet is whether it will accept cryptocurrencies as a method of payment for gas and oil, the Russian finance minister hinted a few weeks ago. I suppose that in reality everything depends on Putin's decision and on the Russian government's need to obtain alternative financing channels to the traditional ones, since with the sanctions of different countries they obtain less money every day.

If the Russian government finally did that, I think they would have problems with almost every exchange in the world except Russian exchanges. Something like this would lead to the almost global ban on Russian exchanges outside its borders, and if that were to happen, there would be little point in using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to avoid international sanctions. The Russian government is going to have problems with the current sanctions, but if the war doesn't end soon they will have much bigger problems that could lead to a very serious economic recession.

If Russia already cannot use US dollars or Euros why would it need exchanges? It can directly trade with Asian, African, Latin American and other countries that don't sanction it using bitcoins. It might be possible that, say, Turkey would buy bitcoin on exchanges first in order to buy gas from Russia. But Russia itself would not use exchanges. Russia will use these bitcoins to buy bananas from El Salvador since it is official currency there.

If the Russian government were to use exchanges from the countries you've mentioned, do you know what would likely happen? More penalties, especially on those exchanges. Nobody knows the plans of Putin, who is the one who decides even if the one who makes the declarations is the finance minister, but if they finally accept Bitcoin as a payment method for these products, it would be a problem for the entire industry, and I don't think sanctions will be long in coming.

Bitcoin is not a company, and although it has well known developers in the industry, they do not own anything, they are people who work to improve the code. The economic problems that the Russian government (and unfortunately, the citizens) have could not be solved by simply accepting Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as a payment method. Russia will take decades to recover economically and I hope that before then Putin will no longer be president for the good of the country.

The current situation is indeed Russia must make changes that are not as usual because of the embargo situation imposed on their country for the invasion of Ukraine. so they should be able to accept payments in other ways and obviously bitcoin is a viable alternative.
but of course there is a positive side that is formed in this way because bitcoin is increasingly trusted to be able to solve problems if something like this happens.

Bitcoin will not save Russia. The question is not even how to pay for Russian oil and gas. Now many states do not want to trade with Russia, including receiving oil and gas from it. European countries have already adopted the sixth package of sanctions against Russia, which mainly concerns the partial and phased denial of Russian oil supplies to these countries. By the end of this year, the level of oil supplies from Russia should fall by 90 percent. China and India will not save Russia either, they do not need such a large amount of oil. But Europe is already preparing the seventh package of sanctions against the embargo on Russian gas. The aggressor will inevitably be punished and Russia may even lose its statehood.

@Abdulcrypto784 they are actually two very different things. It is one thing for the Russian government to accept, for example, the mining and use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a legal investment in Russia, that would be a regularization, and depending on the amount of the percentage to be paid in taxes I don't think there will be much people against measures like that. It's another thing to accept Bitcoin as a form of payment for oil and gas, which is what this thread is about.

The "violence" towards cryptocurrencies will be around for a long time. People fear what they don't know, and governments fear what they can't control, as that could take away their status and give power to those who really deserve it, the people. The best thing about all this is that cryptocurrencies are showing that they are not used for illicit acts as many governments claim, but are used for noble causes, such as helping people who are suffering from a war that they do not deserve or want.

if that happens Russia will use bitcoin for oil payments then this is positive news for bitcoin and the possibility that bitcoin will reach a new ATH, if for China it may wait for other countries to accept payments via bitcoin, if all countries have used bitcoin then  like it or not, China will accept bitcoin as a means of payment.

It is very bad when this happens in relation to cryptocurrency, which is aimed at a positive result and improvement in terms of development of all countries of the world. But if the states are unable to contrast something, they begin to destroy it or make it so that it would be theirs.

Exactly, that's what governments usually do with things that are beyond their control. But as we already know, it will not be easy with cryptocurrencies, since they cannot directly attack any company or public or private entity. Governments are aware of their limitations, which is why some seek a coexistence that is as healthy as possible, regulations. If governments manage to find the sweet spot between the freedom of citizens and a fair percentage of taxes, many more countries could use cryptocurrencies without problems.

It is hardly necessary to classify China and Turkey as friendly states in relation to Russia. Most likely, in these states, in relation to Russia, partnerships that involve mutually beneficial cooperation. Turkey, and especially China, would not mind using Russia's current plight, which is associated with its treacherous attack on Ukraine, in order to buy Russian oil, gas and other goods of interest at low prices. With the same friendly success, China may in the future occupy part of the southern territory of Siberia, which it still considers its own.
As for the sale of oil and gas by Russia for bitcoins, this is hardly possible. The Central Bank of Russia has long stated that bitcoin will not be used in this case. Even if this happens, it is likely that these trade deals will not be made public.

Russia does not even talk about it. Only an opinion was expressed about this, which was immediately refuted by the Central Bank of Russia. But it should be noted that if the Russian government wants to sell its oil and gas for cryptocurrency, then they will do it secretly, without making this information public. Especially if an embargo is imposed on these energy carriers. To carry out these operations, the Kremlin does not even need the relevant laws. The legal field is not for them. Therefore, we may hear about it, but much later, when this classified information can appear in some special way.

Russia has never supported the free circulation of cryptocurrencies in this country. On the contrary, Russia has adopted one of the worst laws for cryptocurrency. The circulation of cryptocurrency and its use as a payment is prohibited there. The fact that they can use cryptocurrency there as payment for oil and gas supplied to other countries, these were only rumors and assumptions. But they were immediately refuted by representatives of the Central Bank of Russia. Currently, there are no prerequisites to believe that the cryptocurrency can be used to circumvent international sanctions in Russia. In addition, if this happens, then such a fact will not be given publicity, so that Russia does not block such a channel for circumventing sanctions.

In my opinion, I think I will only accept any cryptocurrency information developments from Russia if I am able to verify the reality, that is, the actual used of Bitcoin in oil/gas transactions taking effect on Russia.

It is true what you say, Russia has always had a love-hate relationship with cryptocurrencies. But after Russia's invasion of Ukraine and after multiple sanctions by many countries, this time it seems that the adoption or use of cryptocurrencies could be closer than ever, but it seems that the information that reaches the media is not enough to know which path the Russian government is going to take. If the Russian government finally feels threatened by the sanctions and its economy suffers more than now, it is possible that it will take the step.

So far, I do not see any particular problem with Russia's payments for its oil and gas supplies to other countries. The geography and volumes of such deliveries are now changing a lot. The countries of Europe are gradually refusing energy carriers from Russia, a partial embargo on their supplies is being introduced to other countries, and to others Russia has the opportunity to accept the usual currency. The problem with payments for oil and gas in cryptocurrency is not relevant for Russia, since not only money is tracked, but, first of all, the goods themselves, the movement of which in such a large amount cannot be invisible to other states.

It has been four months since this news appeared. Not even news, but rumors that Russia can accept bitcoin as payment for oil and gas it supplies to other countries. Except for the refutation of this information by the Central Bank of Russia, nothing else happened. On the contrary, a law has recently come into force that prohibits the use of cryptocurrency in Russia as a means of payment. When the Russian economy collapsed as a result of the war it unleashed in Ukraine and unprecedented international sanctions, as a result of which flows of citizens and capital poured out of Russia, it makes no sense for the Kremlin to legalize cryptocurrency.

In terms of international politics and economics Russia is still very strong. Interestingly, the state of Nato became a partner of Russia.

It cannot be denied that the country of Russia was deliberately opened to this digital currency of the Bitcoin industry. So many merchants are accepting Bitcoin payments in their businesses and even in different companies. And in fairness, that strategy of Russia is quite cruel and can be said to be good. Why? Because imagine if a country is not open to the Bitcoin industry but they need a supply of oil and gas, they will always be forced to buy Bitcoin with their currency, this is a nice move for Russia, really good.

it could be that what you say rumors is a fact that happened, because in situations that experience an embargo there will always be a need for alternative payments that can be made so that there are no problems in the future, even though you are right that bitcoin does fluctuate, but there is no reason other than looking for alternatives which can be used as a reference.

The fact that Turkey and China are friends with Russia is very loudly said, and this statement is practically untrue. Turkey, China, India are pursuing an independent policy in relations with Russia and are trying to use the current difficult state of Russia associated with the unsuccessfully unleashed war in Ukraine in order to trade with it on favorable terms and make a profit. Despite the fact that Russia is now looking around the world for additional weapons to continue the war, these countries do not supply weapons to Russia. Turkey is helping Ukraine with military equipment, including Bayraktar drones, even agreed to build a plant in Ukraine for the production of these drones, while Russia was denied assistance in building such a plant. China has also denied Russia's military assistance so far.

Russia has never been open to the free circulation of cryptocurrency. The law on digital assets, which was adopted in Russia, prohibits the use of cryptocurrency as a means of payment in the country. The Constitution of the Russian Federation provides that the only means of payment in Russia is the ruble, therefore, the State Duma of Russia has long been considering a bill establishing strict criminal liability for the use of cryptocurrency as a means of payment. Russia has one of the worst crypto-currency laws.
Given the current failed war of Russia in Ukraine, and the outflow of people and capital from this country, in the near future the attitude towards cryptocurrency there will only worsen.

Russia has never been open to cryptocurrencies, much less to using cryptocurrencies as a payment. Moreover, Russia has always banned the use of cryptocurrencies as a payment and they do not intend to change their position in the future. Russia is the most hostile country in Europe regarding cryptocurrencies. There has long been a bill to establish strict criminal liability for the use of cryptocurrency as a means of payment, which has not yet been considered. Therefore, do not wishful thinking. Six months have passed since Russia is waging an aggressive war in Ukraine and received international sanctions for this. But even bypassing them, such as selling her diamonds in India, she receives payments for this in rupees, that is, the national currency of this state.

unfortunately what is happening today does not match the reality, president putin has imposed crypto restrictions in russia and has issued its regulations.
So far there has been talk that to avoid the embargo Russia will legalize payments using crypto, but all this has not happened because regulations have been set and for anyone not to do crypto transactions in Russia.
will there be any changes? Of course it can happen because Russia has done that, meaning we will always wait for the latest developments.

These rumors appeared almost seven months ago, when Russia attacked Ukraine and the states imposed additional tough sanctions against the aggressor country. After that, almost immediately, the Central Bank of Russia denied the possibility of using bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies in international settlements with other states. Since then, no additional information has been received, including that Russia is using cryptocurrency to circumvent sanctions, including in payments for oil and gas supplies. If they do this in Russia, it will be secretly, although for this it is still necessary to secretly supply the goods themselves, that is, oil and gas. And to do this is very difficult.

If Russia accepts Bitcoin for business purposes, it will open up new possibilities for Bitcoin. Because many countries that import oil and gas from Russia will also accept Bitcoin. As a result, overall Bitcoin acceptance will increase. Recently our country wanted to import oil from Russia but could not. Because we do not have such a huge amount of rubles. I hope bitcoin will solve this problem.

Never mind for now what you say will not be possible because Russia has issued a regulation regarding crypto cannot be used as a transaction tool in their country, so it will not be possible to accept payments with bitcoin.
but whether in the future there can be changes and can accept? there will always be a possibility because all will see the situation in time.
but now Russia already feels that payment can be made with their money (rubles), because all those who buy from Russia really need it and it must be remembered that the price that gets is discounted so the price is cheap.

I think that if the Russian government wants to circumvent international sanctions with the help of bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies, then the absence of special laws for this will not be a problem. The central government has always violated its own laws when necessary. The main thing is, as the king says. In addition, Russia may already be doing this, but this information will be classified and we will not know this, unless, of course, it is leaked. But with cryptocurrencies, not everything is so simple. In addition, hiding from the public the fact of movement of sanctioned goods, in this case gas and oil, is no less a problem. After all, the volumes are large and tankers, even from satellites, are very easy to track.

Since the war with Ukraine, this cryptocurrency has been intensively taken as the right choice to open payments other than Fiat.
I am sure that Russia is also opening the payment to further smooth the sale of Oil and Gas to get the best profit. This only my opinion and cmiiw.

Whether it's true or not, bitcoin is always an alternative choice when all payment methods are inaccessible. That's the main thing why Bitcoin is absolutely unavoidable if oil and gas accepts other payment alternatives. There are only 2 sides, namely negative and positive, besides that there will be pros and cons among people who tend to secure their assets either to Bitcoin or the like. What we do is when it is confirmed that there is a Bitcoin transaction for gas and oil then the amount and value will affect the movement in the bitcoin market.

There is another country that accepts payment with Bitcoins for its resources, if Russia agrees to such sacrifices, why were these kochels needed a long time ago when they wanted to ban cryptocurrency.

One should not even hope that legislation loyal to cryptocurrency will be adopted in Russia. Although even before that, this country was not going to fully legalize the cryptocurrency, and in the current situation of military defeat in Ukraine and tough international sanctions, they will not do it all the more. Now the Putin regime is faced with the task of limiting the outflow of people and capital abroad. And the legalization of cryptocurrency will only contribute to this. Therefore, most likely, in Russia they will go for a complete ban on cryptocurrencies and the bill of November 17, which was submitted to the State Duma, is a confirmation of this.

Russia will except the Bitcoin and they make great decision and this time so many peoples will invest their money in the BTC not in gas or in oil and they hold their coin and sell when the coin go high in the market. I think It will be big problems, because bitcoin is high volatile.
The Russian government is just afraid that people will invest their money in cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, and not in their collapsing economy, and if the opportunity arises, they will easily leave the country with their capital in cryptocurrencies. Therefore, you should not even hope for the adoption of loyal laws regarding cryptocurrencies there. Most likely, on the contrary, in Russia we will see a tightening of the policy towards cryptocurrency and its complete ban for the use of citizens. This will be required by the policy of total economy after the use of all the country's resources for the war against Ukraine.

The Russian government's fear of misuse of crypto can be understood by implementing it through regulations, all countries will also do the same to protect themselves.
so it's not only a fear of bringing assets to move abroad but also a fear of money laundering that can't be controlled if it does occur.
On the one hand, where Russia is being hit by an embargo and they also need tools to be able to transact their oil and gas, crypto is one way to solve that.
In the current situation, all efforts are being made so that they also do not experience the ongoing difficulties resulting from the intervention in Ukraine.
the war should have ended so that everything could go on as usual before the intervention took place.

Even if they know how many people have purchased cryptocurrency, there is still another crypt that can be transferred to and someone will not know about it. This is all done to support the new technology that all countries of the world have already believed in.

it is not easy to accept payments by changing the rules that have been made where the rules are made because they themselves doubt their inability to be able to control. maybe there will be other mechanisms that can make them able or able to trust the bitcoin transaction itself. we are waiting for that and i am the same as you my dear friend, that i am not sure that russia will use bitcoin, but we know that russia is capable of doing what it wants.

Ever since I started here in cryptocurrency, the country of Russia is known to enjoy Bitcoin, and most of the merchants in their country are bitcoin accepted as far as I know.

Now, I don't understand why the title of this topic is like that. So whether they do that is not new to me because Russia is a well-known crypto-enthusiast country.

Ever since I started here in cryptocurrency, the country of Russia is known to enjoy Bitcoin, and most of the merchants in their country are bitcoin accepted as far as I know.
it's true that Russia is a country that is considered to be a very massive bitcoin user and the same as China, everyone acknowledges that. so it's a bit strange if bitcoin has a problem in that country.

Now, I don't understand why the title of this topic is like that. So whether they do that is not new to me because Russia is a well-known crypto-enthusiast country.

the problem is because online crypto news, in july president putin has signed a law (UU) prohibiting payments with digital financial assets in which is crypto.
Is this regulation due to the crisis that hit as a result of their prolonged intervention in Ukraine so that it is not consistent in implementing it, can change and be adapted to the needs required. all only those who know and no one will be able to do anything with what is done in the future.

The fact that Russia may start accepting bitcoin or another cryptocurrency was expressed by some officials after Russia's military invasion of Ukraine and the imposition of tough international sanctions, including on Russian oil and gas. However, immediately after that, the Central Bank of Russia issued a refutation of such rumors and after that they stopped.
Here it should be taken into account that Russia's problem lies not only in obtaining money for the supply of its energy carriers, but also in their hidden delivery to customers. And it is impossible to covertly transport large volumes of oil and gas. In any case, Russia will circumvent sanctions covertly, the very fact of settlements using cryptocurrency will be denied, so this information will not be discussed in open sources of information.

Russia is trying to take the World Super Power spot and they have the best hackers. Also, Russia will try to implement all the latest Technologies which other countries can only imagine, as it's just a matter of time.

They make great decision because this time in the crypto market we need some big investors which will invest their money and start to boost the BTC because all the crypto market is down so much this time but i hope soon the crypto market will go high so much and it will give us good profit if the BTC market go high because all the market will go high or low with the BTC movement.

Maybe Russia tried to introduce the latest technologies, but in terms of the state of its military equipment and industry in general, this is not noticeable. Western countries and the United States are now helping Ukraine to repel Russia's aggression, that is, Ukraine now uses military equipment from NATO countries and it is much superior to Russia's military equipment on the battlefield. A dozen HIMARS radically changed the course of the war in Ukraine in the direction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, almost all technological solutions in Russia use electronics and components from Europe and the USA. The current sanctions do not allow their supply to Russia, so they get electronic chips from imported washing machines and other household appliances.

After the obvious military defeat of the Russian Federation in the war with Ukraine, Russia will become a country isolated from the civilized world, which is now North Korea and will not be able to use or produce new technological developments.

Russia has not stated that it will accept bitcoins as payment for oil and gas it supplies to other countries. Earlier, there were statements on this subject by individual officials, but after that the Central Bank of Russia directly stated that this would never happen, and after that, talk about the use of bitcoin stopped.

Now, in general, this option does not make any sense to consider after sanctions were imposed on the oil and gas industry and European countries refused to buy oil, gas and even oil products from Russia and set ceiling prices for Russian oil and gas. After that, they fell sharply in price and Russia is not able to sell them even with a 40% discount.
