Title: How do you know the increase as a bullrun sign?
Post by: alltalk on January 11, 2019, 02:22:38 AM
We have experienced two quite good increases currently. The first one was in the end of 2018 and another one was in the early of this month (January, 2019). However, both of them ended with the other declines and claimed as the pump effects only. So, it means we still have no real signs for the bullrun. In this case, I am confused how to differ between the increase as the bullrun sign and the increase caused by pump activity?

Bull run sign is not seen from the increase in the price of a coin but from the volume of the coin if the volume does not increase rapidly then the coin will not experience a high increase, so a bull run will not appear at this time.

Yes, the increase of crypto volume can be another indicator of a bullrun. So, it is not only about the increase in crypto prices but the volume also follows to rise. The increase of crypto prices currently didn't follow with the significant rise in its volume. That's why it is not the sign of a bullrun.

There must be a sustained increase in volume (emphasis on sustained), even volume can be faked sometimes especially by these so called pump and dump groups. There has to be something significant also that should support that sustained volume increase (something like Bitcoin becoming a legal tender in most countries).

A bull run will only occur if people will decide to invest in BTC from FIAT. What's on my mind is that in can occur anytime we just don't know as all the graphs out there are just predictions. If you are a Quadrillionaire then you can start a bull run but if there is no trend, there isn't going to be one.

From the some answers above, I can conclude if the bullrun signs are determined by two important things.
(1.) The increase in crypto volumes + prices significantly and constantly.
(2.) There is vital news like "bitcoin legalized in a big country".

Thanks all for the contribution to reply my question.  :)

It is very clear that we have no both of these signs. I think we are still far away from bullrun. I don't want to be afraid but it is the fact in crypto. We have not seen good progress related to the recovery of market. Besides there are no positive news for crypto world currently.

Here are the 3 major things to look at when the market is getting bullish or not are :

1. The rapid increase in market capitalization.
2. The high increase in buying rates and trading volume.
3. The bull market durability - to make sure it is not a bull trap.

Yes I agree with you I did the same but at the end of 2017 I got the most profit.

This year you might have a much better profit mate. The beginning of 2021 is quite impressive that shows something special resistance that could last until December.

2020 the longest bullrun and 2021 will be the rememberable bull run in the cryptocurrencies market history.
