Hi guys and ladies of our Altcoins talk community, I greet yeah all...
I am coming with an observation and also a question, and this is for a very good friend mine (he possibly will join this community soon) but before I introduce this forum to him, I want us to discuss this here, your opinions, ideas, and possible suggestions may help in the current situation..

The observation...
Bitcoin at its current price of $65,000+(as at the time of writing this post) has actually become very expensive and unaffordable to most people around the world, most especially the low salary earners, and for someone who wishes or wants to make like a minimum of a hundred thousand dollars in profit; investing in bitcoin with minimal amount of money at $1000 max, it is like it's no longer possible; as Bitcoin will have to do alot of Xs, for a thousand dollar worth of bitcoin right now to worth a hundred thousand dollars or more in the future - I am not a mathematician, so I am not going to bore you with calculations I myself may not understand, but just incase we have someone here who is very good at math, then I would be happy to know at what price would a thousand dollar worth of bitcoin right now ($65,000) be worth a minimum of one hundred thousand dollars?.

The question...
I have this friend who is a salary earner, he works really hard and very diligent, and I personally like him and want the best for him for that reason alone, he complains almost all the time about his job and the level of stress involved, he wished he got a job in another company with better pay and less stress, but that is not forth coming, and I am sincerely hungry in my spirit to help him, but there is no other way to help him aside bringing him into crypto currency investment, for; crypto investment actually is what brought me also out of monthly salary dependency I once was in before.

I've talked to him on several occasions to start investing in crypto, most especially bitcoin, but he's always been very skeptical, and to convince him, I lied to him (though not lie but kind of), I told him that with a minimum of $1000 investment in crypto, he would forever retire from salary jobs and move into Starting and managing his own business, for in a space of 5 to 7 years, he would make nothing less than a hundred thousand dollars which will make him a multi-millionaire in our local currency - I myself is very comfortable, so he had no reason to doubt me.

Long story short, this dude finally managed to save up a thousand dollars, in fact, he said he borrowed about a hundred dollar to complete the money, and just today, he brought the money and asked me to invest it in crypto for him, and this really put me in a cross road right now, I am totally confused as to which crypto to invest the money for him, I initially was going to invest it in bitcoin, but I made him a promise that within 5 to 7 years, his $1000 would have turned to a minimum of a hundred thousand dollars, and thinking about this and not wanting to disappoint him, I am beginning to have double minds, as to whether to really invest that money in bitcoin or looks for some really good and promising Altcoins and invest the money there, I have some really good and undervalued altcoins I invested in myself, but since this is not my money, I have and want to be extremely careful where I put the money.
- Investing the money in bitcoin, the risk is very low, but there is a high chance I may not be able to fufil the promise I made to him, which he may find disappointing and lose trust in me.
- but investing the money in Altcoins, this is risky (and risk level varies between different Altcoins), but there a high possibility that I will be able to keep to the promise I made to him, if the Altcoin market does really well in the coming months, meme coins are perfect 👌 for this, but highly risky..

What do you guys think? And what are your valuable suggestions?

Meme Coins / Who bought FISH MEME COIN on TON?
« on: March 20, 2024, 02:09:17 PM »

FISH is a meme coin that was launched on TON blockchain two months ago, and so far, this meme coin have performed incredibly well, it's actually unbelievable that FISH is only listed on 2 decentralized exchanges currently
Stonfi - A decentralized exchange on TON blockchain.
DeDust - also a decentralized exchange on TON blockchain.
And yet, it has achieved $65 million dollars In market cap, it's not even listed on coinmarketcap yet, not to talk of any centralized exchange, and so far, FISH had risen 6566% in the last 30 days according to COINGECKO.

IS IT STILL EARLY TO INVEST IN FISH?
This is not a financial advice, but personally, I would say a big yes, FISH has achieved incredible milestones even when it's yet to get listed on any centralized exchanges, now with all that has been achieved so far, imagine what will happen to the price of FISH when it gets listed on coinmarketcap, as well centralized exchanges starts listing it, it will run Into billions of dollars in market cap in no time, I am fully invested in FISH and I am confident that this is a gem 💎 In the form of meme coin.

So, yesterday, I got a notification from our dear telegram notification bot that I received one negative Karma,

And to be honest with you all, I felt a really strong rage in me, and I think what annoyed me the most is the fact that I don't know who gave it, I really would have loved to retaliate by giving back same negative Karma to the user multiple times, because that made me to actually go back to all my posts from the like 3 days back; to present, and can't really find any post or comment that should warrant anyone giving me a negative Karma, in the end, there is nothing I can do other than to forgo it, that's let it go, but this actually brings me down to asking this questions.

  • Is it right to give negative Karma as a way of showing disagreement of or in someone's opinion/comment?
  • Have you ever gotten that negative Karma Notification when you least expect it? How did make you feel? Please be honest.

The above is how winz.io signature ad look on my mobile phone, and actually, the way the signature appeared on my phone is not what caught my attention to create this thread, the reason I decided to create this thread is because i actually struggled to find out the company the signature ad belonged to, I only got to know it belonged to winz.io when I saw in the third row, the "winzup loyalty club up to 35%" text, and even this looks very small and one has to zoom out to see it well.

And question is, what are those yellowish looking like dots stuff in the first row, third row and fourth row?
- Can't those be converted to bold texts, to make the signature look cleaner, clearer and better? like that of Tumbler, Unijoin, coinomize and so on...

Just me thinking out loud, but your opinions are welcome regardless.

Since I can't post in the "Women in Crypto" board as a man, and for another reason which is that, I want a general discussion on this topic, I've decided to post this women.

We all know that Today is Women's Day, a day reserved worldwide to celebrate our Women, and I am using this medium and opportunity to say a happy Women's day celebration to all our Women in Cryptocurrency.

As of last year being 2023, cryptocurrency ownership data showed over 420 million digital currency users worldwide, and 37% of these 420 million global crypto holders are women, almost close to 155 million, this goes a long way to show how involved women are in crypto, something we the men must commend, for it shows that even women are no longer so dependent on the men for financial aid, women now have their own goals and hustle on their own to meet it.

As we celebrate our Women in crypto today, I want to ask a few question..

To our women
How has the crypto journey being for you? How was your beginning like?, how much of crypto knowledge have you gained and how has crypto helped you financially?

To the men
Do you have a sister, wife, any family member or girl friend who is into crypto?
How much have you helped them gain crypto knowledge? is this person still in contact with you? What has the journey been like for them?

Let's make this an interesting discussion.

Hi all,
Coming online this evening, I decided to use my Samsung browser to visit the forum, while here, text appeared too little and to see words properly, I have to zoom the page and scroll left, right, up and down to read, this wasnt really comfortable, so I decide to increase the text size from the Browser's setting, I increase it to 200 which Is the highest for mobile devices, and the below screenshot is how the forum turned out..

Text size on this forum became even worser than it was before I did the increase.
Out of curiosity, to want to find out if this was the fault of my browser or the forum, I tried the same on bitcointalk with same browser, and the the screenshot below is how btt turned out after text size incased to 200..

Neat and completely balanced on my mobile screen.

And for reference, I also did the same test on my mobile chrome browser, and exactly what happened on my Samsung browser happened for both forums, and the shots shared were taken from chrome actually.

So, I am bring this to the notice of the forum's administration, hopefully, you guys can find a way to fix this to make the forum more mobile friendly.

Bitcoin Forum / At What Rate will You Stop Buying Bitcoin?
« on: March 04, 2024, 10:36:44 PM »
Someone said he has been buying bitcoin from around $19,000, and has being accumulating more and more even while bitcoin is getting more and more expensive, he said he has been buying and will keep buying and buying until the price of bitcoin reaches $1,000,000 (one million dollars), this is when he will stop buying, said at this point, he will sell a small amount of his bitcoin holdings and retire for ever 😂.

So, I got curious and wanted to know if there are some of us here who think along this same line, so I brought this topic up for us to discuss.

At what rate or price will you stop buying bitcoin forever?

Here is my own answer, I will stop buying bitcoin completely when the price reaches $200,000, when bitcoin reaches this price, I will completely no longer buy bitcoin, but will only focus on earning it, like through my signature ad slot, and other bitcoin paying services.

What about you?

Forum related / Karma system of ATT verses Merit system of BTT
« on: March 02, 2024, 03:49:28 PM »
Hi ladies and gentlemen of Altcoinstalks..

I was thinking about something this afternoon, and l thought it did be something nice for us to discuss here, so, I am bringing up this thread in respect to that.

First, do not see this as a comparison to bitcointalk, for bitcointalk will remain bitcointalk and Altcoinstalks will remain Altcoinstalks, as far as I know, there is no competition between the two forums.
So, what I am asking on this thread is simply for fun based on our individual experiences with both forums.

Now, there is no debate on the fact that many of us here (most active ones actually) have account on both forums, (BTT and ATT) and as such, we all have experienced the BTT merit system and also have experienced ATT karma system, and the question is simple.

1. Between the merit system on BTT and karma system on ATT, which do you like or prefer the most based in your experience with both forums?

2. Which of this systems do you think is more easier to abuse?
   - Remember, users bought and sold Merits on BTT like it's a commodity, and this still happens even till date - thanks to the users on the forum who catch this merit traders and negative tag them.

- And here on ATT, some users can easily come together to form a Karma club, routinely karma-ing themselves - but thanks to the admin who see all this from the back-end and always ready to purnish offenders.

Remember again, the purpose of this thread, and keep your comments adhered to it, and also on topic.

Today is 27th of February, and like i believe many of us already know, we are in a leap year, which means, instead of February ending tomorrow being the 28th, we are going to see one day extra, which is the 29th of February, which simple means that from today, we have 2 more days before we say bye bye to February.

Now, bitcoin has been performing really nicely lately, between yesterday and today, we saw the price rose from around $51,000 and currently trading a little about $56,000 at the time of typing this post.
Like I said before, it's 2 days before the month of February ends, let's play a little bitcoin price prediction game, the game will end on the 29th of February, at 11:59 pm (forum time).

The game is - within this two remaining days for February to be over, do you think Bitcoin price will reach $60,000?
Answer "YES" or "NO" in commment and state why you think what you think.

Let's have fun while watching the price of bitcoin do it's thing. 😅

Forum Court / What Happened to this user's Karma?
« on: February 19, 2024, 09:40:11 PM »
I was on @IyemRoker profile this evening for some reason, I don't remember what actually took me to her profile, but I do know and remember that she was one of the users with most positive Karma, but then, I discovered that every thing turned to zero, i am (with all honesty) surprised, and this is why I decided to ask this after searching through the forum and not finding any topic or discussion related to her Karma disappearance.

What could have lead to all her Karma being zeroed out? I need to know, if not for anything, so that; I and everyone else interested in this will avoid doing same thing she did that got her entire karma wiped out.

(And for reference, she had (I think) 458 Karma previously, based on our campaign spreadsheet)

Yeah, and you read that right, the bull run is coming, bitcoin is currently above $50,000, which make it more closer now to $100,000 than $0, just a $20,000 more and we will see a new all time high for bitcoin.

The coming bull run may be the biggest, far bigger than what we have ever seen before, and much even bigger than any of us might have imagined, but wait... It's commonly said that one can't eat his or her cake and have it back right? Yeah, as this coming bull run may likely be the biggest ever, it may as well be the last, with more bitcoins in the hands of asset managers, the government may likely take over the cryptocurrency market after this bull run, and you know what that means.

So, if you are here today, you have a great opportunity before you, to generate as much generational wealth as possible through the coming bull run, this might be your last chance, do not miss this, do all you can to take advantage of the coming bull run as possible, don't fumble.

This is my sermon for today.

Forum related / Teleporting Trust From Btt
« on: February 16, 2024, 10:17:27 PM »
Wow, so I just learnt it's possible to teleport our trust Score from btt, though doing this cost $5 for less than 5 trust Score, and $10 for more than 5 trust Score, and of course, this amount is to be burnt by sending ALTT tokens worth $5 or $10 to the specified burn address.

Though this is not a free service or feature, like it is with teleporting ones btt rank to alt here, but I think this is a very good feature overall.

And I did spend some time today to go through all the content in the alt talk shop, and I was actually amazed by the number or features, and the fun things we can do by simply burning the required amount of ALTT.

And I have one important question for the admin, is it possible to mint more ALTT or the total/max supply capped at its current number?

(I guess some of us will already understand why I asked the above question, but just incase no one does, I will gladly say why I asked).

13
Yeah, I think the subject of this thread already says it all, most people in cryptocurrency seem not to want to learn the easy way, until they have to learn the hard way when they will have to suffer the lose of their funds to either a hack or other vices...

What exactly do I mean?

A very popular crypto YouTuber I believe many of us will know - The Moon, also known the "Moon Carl" asked a question on this telegram group with a poll, and the question goes "How do you store your Bitcoin?" he added five different options..
1. On an exchange
2. In a hardware wallet
3. In a software wallet
4. I use a combination of methods
5. I don't own bitcoin yet.

And amazingly, out of this five options, and out of the over 700 people that voted, the majority, at 32 percent said they store their bitcoin on exchanges, while 28 percent said they store bitcoin in a hardware wallet, 9 percent store their bitcoin in a software wallet, 15 percent said they use a combination of methods to store their bitcoin, and 16 percent said they don't own any bitcoin yet - this data is at the time of writing this post.

So, I kind of find it amazing that, with the whole campaign of NOT YOUR KEYS, NOT YOUR CRYPTO, bitcoin investors still trust centralized exchanges enough to hold their bitcoins in there, forgetting all the previous incidents where an exchange gets hacked, and investors lose all their funds..

I ask you the same question, where do you store your bitcoin?

So, this is more like (as promised) a reply to the thread Bitcoin VS Quantum Computing.
This is one of my threads from bitcointalk, so, I am just going to repost it here, for those who haven't seen it before to see and read, and also know that quantum Computers are nothing to be afraid of, when it comes to whether they are a threat to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, or not, you can find the initial thread on bitcointalk HERE.
And below is the information as shared on the other forum.

Not even Quantum computers will be able to defeat Bitcoin and the literal BTC network.

hear me out,

Quantum computing represents a fundamental leap from traditional computing, Unlike classical computers which process information in bits (0s or 1s), quantum computers use quantum bits or qubits. Qubits,
Through the principles of superposition and entanglement, can hold and process a vast amount of information more efficiently than classical bits.

This efficiency makes quantum computers particularly adept at solving certain types of problems much faster than classical computers.

Now, relating this to Bitcoin, BTC's security largely hinges on cryptographic algorithms like SHA-256 for hashing and the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) for wallet security.

Classical computers, even the most powerful, would require impractical amounts of time to break these algorithms.
But, a sufficiently powerful quantum computer could, in theory, solve these problems much more "rapidly."

in theory.

Particularly, "Shor's algorithm" in quantum computing poses a theoretical threat to ECDSA, potentially enabling the derivation of private keys from public keys.

I fundamentally disagree with the overstated fears around quantum computing's threat to Bitcoin, for There are several key arguments to consider:

Practicality and Timeframe

The current state of quantum computing is far from being able to threaten Bitcoin.
The largest quantum computers today are still experimental and nowhere near the number of qubits required to break Bitcoin's cryptography.
This development is likely decades away, giving the Bitcoin community ample time to implement post-quantum cryptographic algorithms.

Network Consensus and Adaptation

Any changes to Bitcoin's cryptographic algorithms would require network consensus, which is a cornerstone of Bitcoin's decentralized ethos.
This consensus-driven approach means the community is unlikely to let Bitcoin become vulnerable to quantum attacks.

Misplaced Priorities

The worry about quantum computing breaking Bitcoin's cryptography often misses a larger point.
If quantum computing reaches such an advanced stage,
Bitcoin will not be the only technology at risk.
The entire fabric of digital security, including banking, national security, and internet privacy, would be in jeopardy.
In such a scenario, Bitcoin's vulnerability would be part of a much larger crisis.
For every measure there is a countermeasure taking place, always remember this.

Bitcoin has substantial economic backing and community.
This support system provides strong incentives to maintain the network's security against all types of threats, including quantum computing.
The narrative that quantum computing will "break" Bitcoin fails to account for the dynamic and resilient nature of Bitcoin's technology and community.

Thanks for reading, and do feel free to drop your comment, opinions or questions.
