in your opinion, which one is more suitable for you?

It depends on the coin. If it is for top altcoins like BTC, ETH, DOT, XLM, BNB, TRX, or LINK, it can be good both for the short or long term. As they top coins, we shouldn't worry about the future of the coins. We just need to consider when it is the right time to buy them or to sell them. While for new altcoins that seem not really promising enough, I prefer to set the short-term trading only. I doubt if the coins can drop suddenly and hard to improve again.

I already invested some dollars short term investment periods. Binance coin and UNISwap coins already invested and both coins already given me profits and benifits. Both coins now on the moon.

I also chose BNB for my trade, but not with UNI.  And I'm also planning to hold my BNB coins for a long time.  Because in my opinion, long-term trading will be more profitable.

Binance Coin BNB was a good investment for most that bought in earlier and I most say I was lucky to have bought some around $40 and once the price correction sets in, Sold and did bought back in and from all analysis I believe BNB will definitely get close to $1K before 2021 ends. For a secured and sure profit, long term trading/investment on the top major coins in the market will be a very good choice to choose from. In long term trading, the little positive or negative price move is not paid attention until a certain significant set price is attained. Coins like BTC, ETH, BNB etc for the long term, but for the short term trading/investment, any coin can be of good use, so long as it has a good liquidity in the market, and also it is among the trending coins being traded within the exchange.

I always take advantage of what's happening right now.
When the bullish come, I prefer the short term. Because prices are more stable and rise and fall very quickly. If the time of the bullish comes and the prices of all the coins have gone up high, it's not good to go long-term.
But when the bearish comes I will wait until the price gets lower and I will buy it after that I keep it until the bullish come again in the future.

But if for the long term before i invest, i see when the project starts, what the project's goals are and how many people are interested in investing in the project.

I love both. If trading is a big deal like binance. I really like short-term trading. But some popular BSC projects today make me love long-term trading. It generates greater profit even with small amounts of investment.

I believe that is just basically the idea because to me, the older well established coins have had their mark in the market and time and again we have seen how they have performed so it is easier to invest in this coins for a longer period HODLing but the only thing there will be as you have mentioned, knowing when to enter the market so as to maximize the profits from your investment whilst investing in the more newer coins should be for a shorter period more like say trading to minimize the risk of losses.

Long-term trading will be very profitable if we are right in choosing coins, but if we choose the wrong coins, we can be sure that we will lose.  Meanwhile, short-term trading is also very profitable when market conditions are busy.  And my opinion is that both ways have their respective advantages and disadvantages, what we need to do is learn both ways of trading.
