This evening we sent an email to token holders regarding our strategy for the February 4, 2022 token unlock to pre-salers. You can find this communication below:

Dear Token Holder,

I am writing in connection with our second token unlock.

Upon consulting advisors and investors, we're opting to pilot a strategy employed successfully by many projects to minimize price action at unlocks -- distribution of the unlock on a daily basis in the month which follows the unlock date. The strategy has proven to: instill confidence in new retail investors concerned with sell pressure around vesting events, prevent panic selling, and support organic price discovery for early-stage projects as they scale into new markets.

The vast majority of Beyond Protocol token holders are participating in one or both of our pre-staking programs. In light of this, to streamline distribution and to ease administrative burden, as part of the pilot, we will be making the distributions to MyCointainer on a daily basis. For the pilot, we will allow token holders to deposit any quantity of the unlock into Program B, which was previously restricted to token holders who pledged 90 percent of their initial and bonus unlocks. Because Program B requires a 30 day cool down period, any distributions will be immediately available to earn yields vs. on a daily basis. As a courtesy, throughout the course of the pilot, we will be waiving the 3 day cool-down period for withdrawal under Program A. Please specify which program you would like your unlock to be sent by filling out this form.

We will continue to evaluate the best way to distribute vested tokens moving forward, and we value any feedback you have. Should the distribution of the unlock on MyCointainer vs. distribution to an ERC20 wallet impose any hardship, we ask you to fill out this form, and we will evaluate how we can be helpful.

The past month has been eventful. On one hand, we unveiled our partnership with Stripe around the world’s first blockchain-powered EV charging infrastructure, we secured listing offers from three of the top seven rated centralized exchanges as ranked by CoinMarketCap, and added new tier one investors and partners to our family, like WinterMute. On the other hand, the delay in the tier one exchange listing planned to coincide with our first unlock, which represented three months worth of unlocks, created a severe liquidity crunch. A small number of pre-salers seeking liquidity sold tokens on our small footprint of exchanges not supported by our tier one market maker, causing the price to drop sharply. This, coupled with the greater market sell off, created extreme price action in the markets. All that having been said, the future for Beyond Protocol is bright. I am encouraged by the core group of advisors, investors, and partners who have rallied around the project and lent support over the past few weeks.

A few days ago, a prospective investor messaged the Beyond Protocol Telegram community asking for "reasons" he should be "optimistic" about the project. I replied mentioning how early he was -- we've haven't reached our four month anniversary in the market yet -- and the majority of market movement has been centered around two unanticipated events not tied to the fundamentals of the project. I mentioned how we had monumental events ahead: things like tier one centralized exchange listings and mainnet. Additionally, I highlighted how the majority of the community were long-term holders and staking. Finally, I implored him not to get discouraged by market price and cited how it was not uncommon for even the most bluechip, entrenched ventures to see stark price action (Bitcoin; down 99 percent, 83 percent, etc.; Amazon; down from $113 to $6). I concluded the message by informing him we are focussed on building an enduring foundation on strong fundamentals, and we are confident normative value will be achieved.
