I have a vivid story of an acquaintance, a family man, who had a job but did not have much money. But he experienced life changes after winning big in the casino. When someone can impact the life of people, I think that should be in large quantity. People win in huge amount, I have witness people win such type of money and I have also seen it online and all I can say that people that win in are not in large quantities, they are just minority groups and what I have seen them do with their money is reinvest. The money change their life and they use it properly but the number is just few.

My problem about gambling is that people that win are only few in numbers and the rest of them lost. Overall, gambling don't change the life of people for good, it change many of them from average person to poor especially people that don't have control with gambling addiction.

In real life I have seen gamblers who have gone from a good life to now a bad life and a life of debt. They were addicted to gambling due to which they lost everything they had in gambling. They gambled with pockets full of money but they could never get that money back instead they lost that money and became more in debt. They gambled on debt and paid off the debt with their own capital and again they gambled and again they went into debt thus losing whatever financial resources they had. Some smart gamblers may make a profit by gambling but most gamblers lose money by gambling.

Yes I totally agree with you, gambling have affected many of our youth in the society today, and it has made some involved in drugs and all sorts of illegal activities...

Well i didn't know someone who won a large sum of money, but i have watched a tv documentary on a guy from my country that won the country's lottery. Well he started to buy a lot of stuffs he really wanted to. They people suddenly noticed and become nice to him (like connecting family trees like dots, claiming that some of the people who he didn't even know is related to him by blood). And the sharing your blessings spree has started. And he was happy and blind that a lot of people is just to stay for his money. And then like every finite things, he lost all of his money. What is left is his big house and a Resort he owns (That he cant even maintain due to lack of money). And all the people who he use to give his money, don't even recognize him anymore.
