Not true, there are comments from this user as well.
I think posting news is great. But at the moment I will not give priority to the report. I don't think it can help in our forums. So forget what the old users did. However, some new rules should be issued against them. In other words, I am in favor of closing those sections.
Thank you, because I get reports from other people about this account, which only copy and paste the news without any discussion in the forum. I don't know whether the action I reported here is correct or not?
I'd say not correct on the following basis:
- The user has contributed comments to the forum as well as news (December 1st), even if mainly news is reposted.
- Posts news from a
variety of sources, ie not a "link spammer" who is shilling a particular media outlet for marketing purposes
The second point is the most relevant here. It'd be easy to aruge that they do not contribute to this forum by only posting news, but I think newshunter's 1000+ karma might suggest otherwise - it's considered useful to post news. Just not when it's from one outlet and posting it in wrong sections (discussion sections).
Bottom line: news is posted in the correct sections and they aren't trying to promote a media outlet. No action taken. Please do not report these types of users.
