Post by: notblox1 on February 15, 2024, 02:45:04 PM
Did you see the new jersey for Bulgarian club Botev Plovdid?
They added Bitcoin logo everywhere and they are publicly talking about that on their website.
You can order their shirt for 50€ to 60€, add any name and number, they are accepting international shipping.

From the little research I have done on Bulgaria, I could deduce that the government of Bulgaria holds no law or restrictions on Crypto transactions and as a matter of fact organisations and individuals are fully into crypto currency and are accepting Bitcoin for payment of goods and services. Further findings shows that 213,519 BTC was seized  held in the custody of the Bulgarian government.

With the above, I have no doubt about the possibility of this club accepting Bitcoin for payment of tickets to watch their live matches and also to pay for this Jersey's beautifully designed.  I see and applaud them for this singular act they have done by making their intentions towards Bitcoin been known.  I believe this is a big step to creating awareness about Bitcoin in their country not just their country alone but other countries that they have a good fan base.

This happened long time ago and I think they sold seized bitcoin when price was much lower than today.
I cant be sure what law is for cryptocurrency payments in Bulgaria but I know they are just a part of European Union so things are not so simple.
Maybe someone who is from Bulgaria can tell us more about this.

Possibly if a Bulgarian is here they could tell us more better than we know. Such amount or volume of Bitcoin could give them a good fortune if they had hold till this very moment. We have no idea if they sold all but from the research I have done online I could see that they have no law against or stopping crypto currency in their country which means they could possibly be accepting Bitcoin in their various businesses and lots more.  I think the Bulgaria government is amongst the small nation that is likely going to adopt Bitcoin but they are just sceptical about the process since other European countries are still yet to talk about Bitcoin adoption. Maybe they are waiting for their sister nation to open the floor for them to follow up.

Aqua wallet with JAN3 is another sponsor of this club and they even added special yellow&black theme in their app with Botev mod :)
JAN3 logo was added on their shirts and you can use Aqua wallet to buy anything in Botev store:

Yes I saw the news about club Botev Plovdiv having a new sponsor with bitcoin wallet  ;D

I posted video from Joe Nakamoto who visited Bulgaria and Botev Plovdiv, but he made another video trying to give people free bitcoin.

Only a few people accepted his offer  :o
