Cryptocurrency discussions / Holding Cryptos for Ten Long Years
« on: January 23, 2021, 05:14:09 AM »

I am planning to hold the little amount of cryptocurrencies I have right now for the next ten years and which can be the time when I can use the coin for some retirement plans. Last year, I lost a big chunk of my BTC holding because of a big mistake and I decided that in 2021 any Bitcoin I can have will be put into a decade hold plan. I also have a little of Ethereum and PolkaDOT which I believe can also be surviving the rigors of time and the harshness of the market.

Do you think this can be a good idea or could there be a better one that can put more profits into my crypto holding without really exposing them to danger? And aside from BTC, Ethereum and DOT what other coins that must be deserving to be included into this 10-year plan?

While we are in the modern and tech=driven world, there are still people who are entertaining superstitious beliefs either in whole or popularly just in part. There are people who think they are bringing in that "jinx" so that a certain curse of bad luck can be following them...even into the world of cryptocurrencies.

Jinx is defined as a person or thing that brings bad luck. I have to admit that I feel I am also suffering from this jinx from time to time because there were many times that when I buy a coin the price then dump in the following days or when I sold them the price pump leaving me scratching my head in unbelief.

Should I perform some form of a ritual to cleanse this jinx, or maybe you think that I am just having a creative mind and that things are happening for no reason at all?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Buy The Dip -- Will You Do it?
« on: January 22, 2021, 04:52:55 AM »

As I am writing this, the whole cryptocurrency market is experiencing its RED DAY. We are seeing some big dips in many coins and tokens and just mere looking at CMC board we can see that prices are decreasing and seems to me there can be going on for some hours if not for some days before making a good rebound.

Now, are you thinking that this can be the best time to buy some more coins and tokens? Or do you fear that there can be further slides coming which can eventually lead to the so-called "crypto winter" in the market.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Countries To Open for Crypto in 2022?
« on: December 31, 2020, 02:58:45 AM »
As I am writing this, it is just hours before the end of 2021 and the official start of 2022. I am not so sure what are the things that are in store for all of us in this new year and all we can do is hope and wish that things can get better especially in our fight against the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

So far, the pandemic has not affected that much on cryptocurrency and in fact the way I am seeing it is that it has actually helped a lot as more and more people got interested with the many benefits cryptocurrency is offering.

Right now, countries like China, India and Russia -- representing very big markets for cryptocurrency -- are not yet fully opened for cryptocurrency. As to China, I think it is really hopeless to expect that it will be opening its country soon even just for Bitcoin (though many Chinese are still into crypto maybe away from the eyes of the government). However, with India, I am expecting that it will be opening some parts of the market to cryptocurrency but expect that there will be strict regulations. As to Russia, maybe within the next 5 years there will be developments on cryptocurrency.

There can be smaller countries that can open their doors to cryptocurrency brought about by the continuing growth of the Bitcoin. What are the countries you think will be opening up for cryptocurrency in 2022?

Cryptocurrency discussions / What Will It Be Like: 2021?
« on: December 25, 2020, 04:07:33 AM »
We know that 2020 has been one of the most unforgettable years in our lives as Covid-19 entered and roared into the global scene causing unimaginable havoc everywhere...rich and poor countries alike. In the world of cryptocurrency though I still consider 2020 as one of its banner years with Bitcoin reaching new heights never before explored and there is a big possibility that 2021 will be offering more. The same can be true with some selected altcoins especially Ethereum and many DeFi projects -- but not so much with other coins and tokens.

Do you think 2021 can be the year when altcoins can be making its own version of a bull run...or will it wither more in the shadow of the raging Bitcoin as more and more institutional investors are taking in Bitcoin but ignoring all the rest?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Your Christmas Wish For Cryptocurrency
« on: December 23, 2020, 01:34:07 PM »
Despite the ongoing and really still raging pandemic all over the world brought on by the actual existence of Covid-19 and its perceived fear as well as the great side effects to the global economy, we know that it can never be denied we are in the Christmas holiday.

So I might as well as all of us: What is your Christmas wish for the cryptocurrency industry as a whole and specifically for your favorite alt? As for me, I am wishing that 2021 can be that banner year for all coins and tokens and that in 2021 there will fewer scams and failures. I am into DOT right now so I am wishing for it to be part of the bull run also.

What about you?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Altcoins Not Getting A Share of the Bull Run
« on: December 19, 2020, 06:24:45 AM »
As of now, there is no question that Bitcoin is really soaring into the "moon" and many are expecting that more can be coming as the days of 2020 are winding down and we are excitedly waiting for the start of year 2021. However, we also understand that most of the altcoins -- at least those in the top 20 I guess -- are not getting their share of the actions and in fact some are even retreating.

I heard someone opined that unlike 2017 where the bull run was due to the retail buyers -- maybe referring to ordinary guys like you and me -- this time around the bull run is due to institutional interest and sadly not so many in this source of money are really interested with altcoins except perhaps with Ethereum.

So, should we expect the same kind of altcoin movement in 2021 or will there be the so-called Altcoin Season -- the time when altcoins are getting the limelight?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Biggest Regrets in Cryptocurrency Investing
« on: December 09, 2020, 04:25:14 AM »
The world of cryptocurrency has been evolving through the years. Starting with Bitcoin, we now have many other popular platforms offering their own and unique services to people who are enthusiasts and believers that we are into a new revolution that can be transforming we are doing business and looking as ell as using money which in addition can be transforming we do things in finance and banking.

Right now, we have Ethereum and the list goes on. these digital assets started just minuscule in terms of price. But one of the greatest regrets is when you realized you somehow meet the asset before and yet you doubted it and never took some action.

Once upon a time I came around Ethereum and it was just $10...and that was one of my biggest regrets because I just let it passed.

DeFi tokens / Will DeFi Still Be Hot in 2021?
« on: December 06, 2020, 12:40:46 PM »
We know that 2020 is the year when DeFi become a very hot property which actually transformed the cryptocurrency scene for the better as more and more players came in offering many good options for enthusiasts and supporters to experience a passive way of making good returns.

Many are making money with the help of good DeFi platforms. Of course, along the way, there were also scams and failures -- already an accepted norm in this growing industry.

With 2020 drawings its close, do you think we can expect 2021 to be another year for DeFi or will there be something much hotter to come on the scene getting the attention of many crypto people?

Bitcoin Forum / Will There Be a Bitcoin Winter Soon?
« on: December 05, 2020, 04:20:53 AM »
We are right now experiencing a bull run for Bitcoin and soon the price of the coin can reach beyond the important psychological barrier -- the $20K zone!

But I am wondering: Will there be a winter after that, just like what happened in 2018? That can be possible. However, there are now many things different today than in 2017. And the most significant with that is the coming in of PayPal and many institutional funds into our coin.

Will those be enough to kick the winter out of the picture in 2021?

Cryptocurrency Price Speculations / Eth Back To $1500?
« on: November 26, 2020, 04:30:43 AM »
I remember 2017 as the year when the term bull run really materialized before our very eyes and now here in 2020 we are seeing and hearing the same buzz again. Right now, Bitcoin is almost at the $20,000 zone and Ethereum is at the $500 range with a big chance that it can be stabilizing at $600.

I remember the time when Ethereum was at $1500...do you think that after the Ethereum 2.0 this can be possible? Do you think that the pull effect of Bitcoin will also be greatly leveraged in Ethereum?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Which Altcoin Will PayPal Embrace?
« on: November 25, 2020, 04:50:07 AM »
With the recent foray of PayPal into Bitcoin and its subsequent buying of newly mined coins due to immense demand coming from its millions of users, the whole cryptocurrency community rejoiced because this one factor alone is a big one contributing a lot to the continuing pump of the coin's value.

Now, I am sure that after Bitcoin there can be a time when PayPal will also be stretching its wing and accept an altcoin or better yet a number of altcoins into its fold. Will it be Ethereum, XRP, BitcoinCash or a number of DeFi assets?

Take a guess.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Are These New Projects Really Serious?
« on: November 20, 2020, 05:35:31 AM »

I have been with the scene of cryptocurrency for the past three years and I had been promoting and supporting many good as well as bad projects and platforms with some of them gone with the wind, meaning they just evaporated with developers and managers maybe taking the money to somewhere where the beer is cold enjoying their stash.

Now, of course, from time to time there are always good ones that live up to their name and potential and there are even those that I really regret selling at their infancy stage but most admittedly end up bad or just another lackluster ones.

There are always good project managers as well as those who seem to never care about anything as they're dealing with their social media platform accounts. One of the notable trait is not publishing regular updates on their projects, and yet they claim to be the next best thing that happened to slice bread. What is frustrating is when you are promoting their bounty and you have nothing new to share, what's more there are those requiring never to share old posts and yet there is nothing new on sight.

This is actually funny...but sad. Anyway, I am just sharing an experience here.

Bitcoin Forum / Bitcoin On The Rampage?
« on: November 19, 2020, 07:01:20 AM »

Using Preev.com, I realized that Bitcoin is currently standing at $17,910 or just a little shy away from the $18,000 level which is representing a good run towards the psychologically important $20,000.

Of course, we are all expecting that within the remaining days of 2020, Bitcoin can be able to surmount the $20,000 hurdle and may even go beyond that level leading us to a bright and exciting 2021. Let's just hope that the first quarter will not be a "wintery" months for our favorite coin.

Do you think there will be more for Bitcoin in 2021?

Frankly, it is quite dizzying when we are honestly viewing how many new projects and platforms being introduced to the cryptocurrency market now and then. Of course, many of them can just be copy-cats or me-toos which main intention can be gathering as much money and support as then can before they allowed the projects to just die a natural death. Sadly, many are also downright scammy right from the very start.

However, there are some few ones that are offering good innovations that are worth taking a look and maybe even some good support from our wallets. These projects are usually targeting some specific niches within the much bigger cryptocurrency market and if they are doing good then there is a big chance they can eventually survive and be recognized as legitimate players in this industry.

Have you encountered a good project along this category lately?
