maybe even though this thread is quite old but the op didn't do anything just asking and wanted to try it but haven't implemented it, but it could be that what you said actually happened, op already understands about short term trading. but in a situation like this, short-term trades are very relevant and look for those whose movements are significant enough so that there is a difference that could be profitable.

For short term trading you need to know all the trends , resistances and supports,
In short term trading you dont need to follow long term trends but with stoploss and put your stop loss ahead of support and below the resistance .

As you are newbie in trading, i suggest you to don't go for trading because to do trading, you must need to have high knowledge about market movement, you need to have the ability to find out how coin charts running and so on. So you want to start short term trading but you that in this trading style many traders lose daily millions of dollars cause of lac of knowledge if you are confident and but i suggest dont believe on market and buy in parts this strategy called dca strategy and dont trade on futures .

the main thing is to be prepared to accept the fact that existing funds will disappear or shrink at any time, so do not predict that you will always get a profit.
trading in crypto is clearly very risky especially in the short term, because it always analyzes properly before doing it, it is better indeed to trade on coins that have the potential and in the best position at CMC, if unexpectedly it can change for the long term, maybe it will happen only time loss.
