Well, I don't think the trading competition that was mentioned was that of derivatives or future trading. I think the competition he meant is normal spot trading, which is mostly done by some centralized exchange. For example, there was this old centralized exchange that usually conducts traditional competition. The way it was conducted was that anyone could keep buying a newly listed token or an old coin, and whoever bought the most coins usually won the price. I even think that Binance has done such activities before, but what I don't know is if they still do them now.

A person can tell himself whether he is good enough to compete in a trading competition. Some traders are frightened to compete, not because they are unprofitable, but because they lack confidence. Personally, I believe that now is not the moment to participate in a trading competition. Participating in trading competitions is good because you try your best, there is no such thing as you always have to win prizes by participating in trading competitions. But to do so we must have a very strong mentality, because it is undeniable that we are there for the purpose of one of them to get a prize, and when we don't master that sometimes we won't get any lessons from what we do.

Trading competition is good, in my opinion, especially if you have high confidence in yourself. We are the only ones who know whether or not we can keep up with traders in the crypto space. But even if we say that I already know something about crypto trading, I'm still discouraged, but maybe if I think that it's just for experience, it's possible.

It's just that sometimes I am put off participating because the amount required to be a part of the competition is also large, and because of the amount requirements, I regret participating, which is the reason why I no longer participate in such a situation.

You should provide more details about the trading competition you are talking about. what kind of trading competition is that? which exchange holding that competition and does that require trading with real cryptocurrencies or will provide demo coins for trading?
I am not a trading Expert, but I do trading occasionally, and whenever I see a good signal or suggestion I try to follow that with as much money as much I can afford.
I don't mind joining any trading competition as long as I don't have to invest a lot of money and risk loosing all of them.
there is an Exchange Called PrimeXBT they regularly host trading contests where you can trade with demo funds and earn real rewards. I some time join their competions, unfortunately never won any because of high competition and other traders are experts. so I don't stand a chance. but it is always fun to join these and learn about trading.

I don't think it is wise to trade because of a competition, this might not bring out the best in you due to anxiety, and you might not be able to control your emotion. Trading needs calmness and not when you are on pressure, some traders will end up losing in trading competition, when they are professional traders and they make profit. I would not trade when I am not mentally stable, because trading is not easy. Over confidence can also make you run at great loss.
