And odds says that he is a huge underdog. So it's either it can motivate Thurman here and let his hands go and proved that he is still a good fighter even after that devastating lost to Manny that put him in hiatus before the Barrios comeback fight, or he is really done in boxing and that he is doing this just for the money.

I hope that would be the case, being the underdog going into this fight would motivate him more as to prove the boxing community that he still has it to defeat champions like Tim Tszyu but like what others have said that the long lay-off is very critical factor for this fight so with that, fans of Thurman would just hope that a lucky punch would land and Koed Tim.

I don't know, but for me it seems that Thurman mind is no longer in boxing. He had quit when he lost that fight to Manny. It might have taken a toll on him after that and that's why he is not very active, have fights against Barrios but it looks like a past prime Thurman already.

Well for those who love to go to the underdog it could be a good bet for Thurman. But Tim is very young and hungry and wanted not just to become interim champion as his target is Charlo. So he needs to get past Thurman first.

Seems like the Pacman defeat was the turning point of Thurman's career because he is not the same beast after that defeat plus those injury that he claimed that sidelined him for a long time and seems to me that he has bad management of his career because they are having difficulty in securing a fight with anyone.

I have read that after this fight, Tim would like to fight Crawford which is a tough one and don't if Crawford will take the bait.

Yeah, it was not the first time that we have seen Pacman ruined someone's career. Hatton was one, Antonio Margarito physically was not the same anymore, damage eye.

Thurman is such a unique guy it seems he is not taking his boxing career seriously, a boxer normally fights two or three times a year but in Thurman's case he prefers to take a long vacation before fighting.
He's lucky that promoters still trust him prior to the Mario Barrios fight he has a 2 year vacation and now here he is fighting Tszyu for a title after over two years, some boxers are not given this luxury to fight after a long vacation.

I wouldn't say that he is unique though, it's more of Thurman doesn't have that motivation to box and he chooses an easy money to just be a boxing analyst. And it's true, he was given that opportunity to fight Mario Barrios but he doesn't look sharp as we thought it could be an easy one for him.

Now he is a huge underdog against the Australian. Just funny though how Thurman's mouth run just to promote this fight. But you can see that he really developed that persona already, confident in front of the mic and I think he did good being a boxing analyst and cover some fights on networks.

Lol, you are right there mate, Thurman is such a lucky boxer and like what you have said, he is fortunate that promoters still has the trust in him even though he has a long lay-off but on the other hand, he is used by Tim as a stepping stone for a bigger fight if Tim will this one as Thurman, though did not fight for more than two years is still a popular name to beat.

Right, as we heard before, there were news that Thurman would be fighting Crawford or even Spence at 154 lbs and now that potential fight is gone. Thurman seems to be very brittle as his age, maybe it's time for him to retire as he is not the same after the Manny Pacquiao lost and boxing is no longer is priority the way I see it.

And it's Fundora who is relegated to fight for the belt. Talk about chances, we've known him to be the towering fighter at 6'5 so let's see if he can used that physical he has to bet Tim. Fundora is a huge underdog, almost 4:1 as per Stake.

Tim Tszyu is the huge favorite to win this fight while Sebastian Fundora is the one who has a little time to prepare for this fight, i mean to mentally prepare against Tim Tszyu. Though Fundora is towering at 6 foot 5, he is very vulnirable to Tim's power shots.

For the info, Fundora lost his last fight against Brian Mendoza via knockout, so i expect the same outcome come March 30.

Have you read the whole thread though? because Thurman vs Tszyu is not going to happen as Thurman has pulled out from the fight because of a reported injury. So hopefully you should learn your lessons here to read the topic first before your reply as this looks like a spam.

Right, I agree with what @bisdak40, although Fundora is tall, he might not have the tools because Tim is really on his prime and developed that power than can knockout everyone even if Fundora is very tall at 6'5.

Though Fundora has trained for another opponent but i doubt he will beat the prime Tim Tszyu. This is a good chance for Tim if he win this fight, he will automatically have two belts, more option ahead for his career.

It's a upgrade for Fundora, but if there is a change of boxers that you are going to face, it might be a different outcome. Just like in the Spence vs Pacquaio fight. Pacman is originally set to fight Spence but at the last minute, Spence was not allowed to fight because of his eye injury and so Ugas replaced him.

Manny didn't want to cancel it and so he has the choice to proceed with no game plan at all with Ugas. And with that, Pacman lose the fight because of not training for Ugas. Not saying that Tim will be defeated, but they really need to shift their focus right away from Thurman to Fundora.
