As Bitcoin rises in price, the value of the total BTC that Satoshi Nakamoto mined is now pushing him to be the 26th richest person in the whole world. Yet we know that up to now, he is not yet cashing in with this great fortune and there is no certainty if the man is still alive or already dead...that is to assume that he is an individual and not a group of people. Will Satoshi Nakamoto become a very rich person who has not taken advantage of the money that he should be enjoying...or will we see one day a movement in one of the wallets where his BTC is stacked?

Take note that we do not know for sure how many BTC's Satoshi has and they may have coins in wallets that people don't know belongs to them. I don't think Satoshi would ever spend coins from the wallets that people know or think belongs to them, and that is if Satoshi is still alive and somewhere within the community.

Not really interesting article, since it uses various assumption including Satoshi Nakamoto is an individual rather than a group. While i'm aware old private discussion between Satoshi and others (which relevaed during COPA vs CSW trial) might suggest otherwise, we can't be sure about it.

This is imaginary wealth, or we can call it just ink on paper. Whether Satoshi is alive or dead, what is the benefit of all this wealth if Bitcoin remains asleep in the wallet forever?

Even if Satoshi were alive, I do not expect him to be able to move the Bitcoin stored in his wallet for a long time for several reasons, including that he has remained hidden all this time and cannot risk moving his wallet because all the world’s intelligence services will follow his movements.

Also, moving these huge amounts of Bitcoin and selling them, for example, will cause a huge dump and a decrease in the price, and this is what I do not think Satoshi wants.

- if Satoshi is one guy or a dozen (which would really make the piece of pie smaller)
- if Satoshi is still alive
- if he has access or limited access to those coins
- how many coins he truly has, not all coins were mined by him even in the first year

I agree with the general spirit of the previous answers. The title is sort of clickbait for several reasons: we don't know if Satoshi is still alive, if he is one person or several and if he still has the private keys.

For me the most important thing is that most likely nobody has access to those bitcoins, because either Satoshi is dead or he destroyed the keys on purpose as a donation to the rest of bitcoiners. So, to put a pseudonym as one of the richest people in the world on the basis of a fortune that we don't know if he owns seems inaccurate to say the least.
