Title: Is Steemit Killing Itself?
Post by: levyashin on July 27, 2018, 10:18:44 PM
Actually, i loved the idea of steemit. It was medium but way better. But after some time, it began to die.

The biggest problem is, it is impossible to see a post is really hot or not. You can get thousands of upvote from bots and they closed the view count.

If you have 100k viewer but they don't have any steemit account < you don't have a viewer and you pay a bot some steem. So i think we need some better alternative.

I hope not, I really like the concept of steemit.  I haven't posted anything on there but I think it's a great place for content generation to get revenue without resorting to youtube.  Youtube crushes the creativity of people and can really punish people for no apparent reason.

I understand about the Upvote matter. Yes, I think it is just unfair by giving upvote by a bot. Otherwise, everything is fine.

Fine?

Think about that, how can you distinguish a popular writer and not a popular one in steemit? You can do it in medium or on youtube. But how on steemit?

Upvotes can be fake, it doesn't show views.

I understand where you are coming from dear.. I feel the same especially when I was starting there last year. I wrote travel blogs before with more than 500 words but most of the time ends up getting less than a dollar upvote. The steemit upvote system is not very nice. You have to have the right audience, some other users would even kiss arse to get noticed. Then there are bots. To survive, you have to invest in your own steem power or really interact and be active, use the right tags and just be constant with posting.

I perfectly agree with you. After medium started their anti-crypto behaviour, I thought steemit was the best place to run to  ut not now. Things are getting worse. They better adjust some if their new rules

I love steemit but there are so many posts and our posts are being lost in steemit trash. Sometimes noone sees it. Earning money is also very hard because of that.

I don't think that is true and I am sure that Steem will recover again and it will get better in the future, and we should do more to hold back the steem we have.

I don't think that's very true, and I think that Steemit is also very good and it's true that you can use bots as a tool to get followers, but I don't think it's good to use.

As cryptocurrencies have gained in popularity scalability has been their stumbling block. Bitcoin transactions became hugely expensive as the network became congested.

in my opinion also like that that we have to have another alternative that is better, so that we can be safe in using it and can be profitable.

I like Steemit website and I do not see it killing itself.  Steemit is the platform I post my cryptocurrency articles and ICO reviews bounty program. My account on medium was suspended for posting ICO reviews but Steemit allows that.

The name of the new platform in a project means that there are many bugs in it, even for Up Vote in Steemit.
I am sure that with such circumstances Steemit still needs development because in other words Steemit still has a decent scope for cryptocurrency.

I am a member of steemit and they closed for following more members and urging to upgrade account. This shows they went into debt or don't have money to pay people. Steemit is a bad exposure in blogging and have to close the doors soon.

Yes, also Hive is doing the same, because the Witnness do whatever they think is best for the platform, and this is also Centralization

In this context, I think it’s probably not appropriate to mention the poor work of YouTube. This platform is used by most of humanity and it clearly does not kill creativity.
