Everyone was thinking that it could be next Luna but team doesn't care of panics and continue devolping and afer one month SOL back to it's feet and investors back to buy SOL and start supporting.

In the mean times Sol launched the first smart phone Saga which gives free bonk token. The good thing was that the token price was more than Smart phone price. Most of good project released on solona network which opened the way of success.

Now I read news today that Solona team is looking to launch another smartphone which will be cheaper in price (first one was more than 1000$) and also hardware will be also changed.

As far as I know, the Sagaphone price was reduced to $600 shortly after release. Some media wrote that it was because the demand for this phone was low.
As for the new phone from them, I think it will be more successful than the first one. Last year, the Sagaphone became hype because of airdrops, and it seems to me that there will be a lot of people who want to buy a new phone from Solana because there will probably be airdrops for the owners of this phone as well.

This is a pioneering, unique and effective marketing strategy from Solana. Many people laughed at Sagaphone but then regretted not buying it and losing the opportunity to receive a high-value Airdrop from Solana. The second phone will continue this marketing strategy: creating a sense of ownership and the opportunity to receive rewards from new projects in Solana ecosystem. The phone is something the owner can show off to friends, indirectly advertising Solana for free. Phone sales are not as important as advertising and creating FOMO in community.

I personally haven't used SagaPhone, but it seems to be a pretty mediocre phone, judging by reviews and comparisons on the internet. So, there is no doubt that no one who owns an Apple or Samsung phone will switch to SagaPhone. In fact, phones from Solana shouldn't be perceived as gadgets for everyday use but as an investment that can easily pay off during the hype and bring additional profit in the form of airdrops.

Besides crypto related people, other people are familiar with Sagaphone? Or if they will be shown it, they will say this is just another android? For the price they've ask, user can buy something like Redmi with same system spec, hardware wallet and will have money left to buy VPN plan for a year. For any user, I already see a major problem with this phone - maintenance. Ordering replacement parts and repairs will last for months. Borderless screen cracks nicely from a fall from the table. With such not mass market production, it is always a dangerous to order such complicated gadgets.

I have seen a few reviews about Sagaphone. According to comments, Sagaphone is just a smartphone with normal design and functions like dozens of other models, while its price is too expensive for the Saga brand^[1].

This only be changed when owners receive profits from BONK token airdrop. Their purpose is only to Airdrop in the future from new projects on Solana, not to own or use Sagaphone. If other blockchains choose to sell a USB for 50 USD with many Airdrops, they will be more successful than Solana without having to bear the risk of producing Sagaphone at high costs.

You can't blame the people you know, a lot of money was invested on Solana back then in 2021 and many people had much trust on Sam as the leader of FTX but billions of dollars were loss because of his negligence and you want to say people live because of trust, I will also do the same to protect my investment.

In the mean times Sol launched the first smart phone Saga which gives free bonk token. The good thing was that the token price was more than Smart phone price. Most of good project released on solona network which opened the way of success.

What do you think this wasn't successful? Because it's just a normal android phone and nothing special, the operating system is just like that of any android phone and a wallet and that's all, nothing special about the phone except when they airdrop some thousands of dollars to the wallet created on the phone to make it look as if the buyers did the right thing.

I don't think this new one will be cheaper. But come to think of it, why will an android phone cost more than a thousand dollars, how is even iPhone 15 pro max, and you expect people to buy a Saga phone with poor camera quality.  I don't think this is a productivity to Solana if the phone is as empty as an android phone.

I think the Solana team doesn't aim to compete with Apple, Samsung, and other big phone manufacturers. In fact, Saga phones with periodic airdrops can even be separated into a new category of smartphones in which it has no competitors yet.
By the way, there are already 40k pre-orders for the new model, which I think is a pretty good result for such kind of smartphone.

Competing with existing ones is certainly not wise, especially with certain brands that have dominated the market for quite a while. But you have to remember that people always want to update and like new things. If they can enter a different segment, for example, at a more competitive price, they will certainly become a target too.But with the pre-order that you said, of course this is quite something, and it is clear that they are really looking forward to it. We will see further news, and of course it could be an alternative if it is possible.
