It seems to me that it all depends on what kind of alcohol (how often, how much) and what kind of drugs. I believe that smoking marijuana once a week is much better than drinking a bottle of vodka every day.

If I need to choose, than alcohol . From alcohol, I drink most often wine, and sometimes rum or whiskey. I don’t like beer, although most probably would be surprised.

This thread is from six years ago, but if you're still around, let's talk about the choice between drugs and alcohol.
It's interesting that you mentioned preferring alcohol. It's important to note that both drugs and alcohol can have significant effects on our physical and mental well-being.

Alcohol and narcotics are both dangerous for us, and you are out of your head when these kinds of substances are used. You don't know what you are doing at that time. My recommendation is to take care of your health and leave this kind of behaviour.

Drugs and alcohol have negative effects on our health. I used to drink alcohol, but I had never tried drugs. I also stopped drinking alcohol, but I had a lot of difficulties before I should have stopped because quitting alcohol is not something that is simple to do. My friend, who suffers from alcohol addiction, is the reason I stopped drinking.

Because of the significant side effects of alcohol and drugs, it is advised to take them responsibly to avoid damaging one health system.

Anyone who is into any, either alcohol or drugs, should have a minimal intake of it, not overdose, by taking it once in a while, if they care about their health because too much alcohol or drugs do cause damage to the body system when there is excessive consumption of it in the body.

For one to stay healthy and long-lasting, one should avoid them and eat more healthy foods that contain fewer calories, stay fit by exercising, and drink more water.

Addiction may be an impossible task, so it's necessary to notice the warning signals before things spiral out of control. Here are some frequent red signs to look out for:

Tolerance development: When you need more of a substance to have the same effects, it may indicate that your body is developing a tolerance.

Neglecting responsibilities: If you are missing job, school, or family obligations due to substance abuse, this is a serious red flag.

Using more of the material than was planned. If you constantly use more of...

Alcohol is better than drugs because it damages the liver as well as the kidney and other organisms including the tissues.

For my part, I prefer none because the two are extremely destructive to the human system, while some believe that alcohol and drugs are more harmful since they can lead to addiction, health problems, and even death. Some say, however, that gambling can be equally destructive because it can lead to losing money, family troubles, and addiction. Furthermore, both both drugs and alcohol can have major legal consequences, although gaming is typically lawful in most places. It is difficult to tell precisely which is more unfavorable but I believe it is of the utmost importance to be aware of the dangers involved with both.

Since both are not good for health so both should be avoided.
Drugs are illegal in almost every country while alcohol is allowed in some countries while banned in some.

This is me also. I don't think I have any need for drugs. If there are people to take drugs, they should be people who do hard works. I don't do hard works so I don't have a need for such an enhancement. This year, I have tasted alcohol but mixed with a yogo milk. So I will not call it alcohol. LOL

Both drugs and alcohol are not good for the body but since we are human, i would choose alcohol, the lesser evil of the two. Like you mate, i also lay lowed from alcohol at the moment because of health issue.

I don't take drugs. I don't smoke cigarettes or vape or whatever. I don't take any alcohol.
I'm nothing but a lonely person living alone in my bedroom without any vices at all like what others have. :D

Kidding aside, I just don't want the taste of all of them. Cigarettes? I hate the smell. Alcohol? I have hyperacidity, and I'm having a hard time when I intake too much alcohol. Drugs? I guess there's no need for me to explain because it's illegal here in our country.

I prefer alcohol because I only do that occasionally, although when I drink too much alcohol, it's not good either. but I'd rather choose that than drugs, because drugs have a stronger effect compared to alcohol.

We know that when a person becomes a drug addict, he needs to be taken to a rehabilitation center for recovery. And that's a long process. At least with alcohol, we can do it early, but for drugs, when you become an addict, it is difficult to recover unless the addict is determined.

I have heard multiple times that even doctors suggest to drink a glass of red wine or cognac weekly or once in a while. They say that it stimulates blood flow and reduces chances of heart attack. I cant say that I follow that advice all the time, but I can say that often I drink a glass of wine during dinner. Dont know if this really help, but I see no harm from that. As to drugs, I havent seen anything that it could give anything positive.

Both are good at times to take but prefer taking alcohol occasionally in less quantity but drugs at the other hand has really dealt with so many youth in the society and it last longer in the body than alcohol 🍸 and if we're taking any of the above we should take it wisely..

Drugs are bad for your health, mental and emotional, and they make bad decisions. I must say that I prefer alcohol over drugs.  Drug usage has driven many people insane, and it has also caused some people to ruin their families.  Avoid using drugs if at all possible.  I enjoy consuming alcohol since it has the ability to relieve the fatigue I experience from work every day and improve my quality of sleep. You may be at a lower risk of developing heart disease or cancer.

To this day I don't prefer any of them, I only drink a little alcohol once in a while in social events, but it's better to eat well, exercise and sleep well. In the past I have tried some drugs and I have had my periods of drinking more or less, never reaching a problematic consumption but I have come to the conclusion that you will always be better and give more of yourself if you don't take any of these substances.

Growing up as a child in a christian home, we were seriously admonished not to drink alcohol or take any kind hard substance because it stands against our faith but after I grew up to become an adult, I took my time to study what I was thought not to do as a child if it was good or not. First of all, I checked the effects of drugs and alcohol on older people who were always taking them and I found out that it was totally not good for human mental and medical health to engage in abi of them and it helped me to take my final decision on alcohol or drug. I don't do any of them and I'm very happy with my decision

I prefer alcohol but it will be not be an excessive but a moderate intake inside my body system so that I won't feel tipsy by acting strange at the end of the day. Although alcohol intake can be good or bae to some people because they do take it to feel happy and forget most of their problem, have a relaxed mind, and have morale to face the crowd and speak out in the public. Which in the real sense, they won't find courage to do so without the intake of alcohol.

Alcohol can be a good have messed some people because of how they have turned it to be, as what they will make before they can have a rel

Alcohol should not be used as a motivator or to have boldness in relating to people in public, it means that when that person did not see alcohol anywhere he will be a mess to himself, because he would not be able to face the crowd or relate with people in the right way. India hemp is not bad, because it is a natural plant that is smoked to get high and inspired. Any drugs made through refining process is not good because it would be mixed with chemicals that are harmful to man's health. Whatever is not good for your health, there is no need taking it, because your are endangering your life.

None of that. I believe that alcohol and drugs are very terrible and cause the greatest addiction. I remember how I got addicted to cigarettes. Then I started to struggle with it. I found good medications at the Canadian Pharmacy Partnership (https://www.canpharm.com/pharmacy-partner) and also tried to occupy myself with something else that also relaxed me. So I started doing yoga every day and over time I forgot about cigarettes

You're absolutely right...
Using alcohol or other substances as a way of mustering confidence in situations that requires one to naturally be bold may damage your social abilities.
You'll find it pretty difficult to interact with people if you consume alcohol, this can easily cause addiction and substance addiction isn't something that should happen to someone.

As regards to Cannabis, it's true that when it's used responsibly, it could have positive uses and benefits to the society but not when used excessively or abused like it's been done in our society today, we can all see how negatively the impact is on the society today.

Of course, whatever is done excessively must have side effect at the end of the day. You can drink alcohol but drink responsible and know your limit. Those that don't have self control over whatever they are doing should not involve themselves in activities that one can get addicted to, so that they can live a healthy life.
