Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Trading is not same thing as Gambling
« Last post by Jeffy112 on Today at 10:39:09 AM »
Conclusion: Trading is not the same thing as gambling, but if you want to handle trading as gambling, it's just your choice.
Yes, trading and gambling are different. But it can be the same if we trade with no proper knowledge. In gambling, people expect more on the luck to succeed. Meanwhile in trading, people will try to have enough knowledge to increase the chance for success. We treat trading in a different way, we rely on our knowledge and experience to ear good profits. But in gambling, there is no way to increase the chance for success if we have no luck.
A trader who trades on a rational basis takes into account the role of chance, but does not blindly count on luck - but builds a trading system so that a series of chance events ultimately produces a profit.  A trader with a gambler’s psychology has a different approach: he trusts his intuition more and hopes to hit the jackpot.
Rational traders understand the role of chance in trading but rely on a well-thought-out system to ensure long-term profitability. They recognize that luck plays a part but do not rely on it. In contrast, traders with a gambler's mentality tend to depend more on intuition and hope for a big win, often lacking a structured system to manage risk and ensure consistent returns.

How is it possible now that vendors would demand or accept BTC for services and expect their customers to pay for it looking at the current state of BTC transaction fee and coupled with the fact that their is always a delay in transaction confirmation. I do not think anybody would likely do that now and moreover, the BTC transaction fee is a but much higher if it is to be converted into some currency equivalent.
I know of some guys that accepts Bitcoin but currently, they were telling me that since this transaction fee issues started, some of their customers do not pay in Bitcoin but rather, they would prefer to pay in the local currency and him too do not pay his vendor who accepts Bitcoin because of the transaction fee and you can see that this case is vice versa, nobody wants to lose.
For now the transaction fee is low and shops can accept bitcoin as a payment method if they want to but because of the state of the Nation, I don't advise anyone or shop who dey sell things to accept bitcoin in their businesses. However bitcoin transaction fee is not something one can rely because it volatile like bitcoin itself. But one can take the advantage of the low fee to accept bitcoin. And merely looking at it, it is better to use fiat currency because with it you no dey pay any transaction fee. Either cash or transfer. And I have seen some boys paying with bitcoin to buy things.
It's true, currently bitcoin is still not accepted in many countries, in fact only a few countries accept bitcoin as a legal form of payment, using bitcoin as a transaction tool also has a very high risk because unstable price movements will cause the value to change. accepted by the seller will be different and this is a very high risk.

Forum related / Re: Badges that encourage spamming the forum..
« Last post by bitterguy28 on Today at 10:29:52 AM »
I think it's not too difficult to achieve those badges without spamming, but one need to spend at least a full day to achieve 25 to 50 posts that day and most of the posts won't cross 500 characters.

I can personally achieve those badges but I'm not interested in having it because the time doesn't allow me to achieve it as of now. However, if I have more free time in future then I will try to achieve those badges.
To attain that badge we must have at least enough time and effort because contributing to the forum needs at least couple of post to target what you really understand and what you can totally contribute .
and like what admin said above this is just to see account activity and maybe behavior so maybe you are interested achieving that mate but i think I will pass for this one  ;D :D

Yes that is nice thought, there are some pictures that you go copy and you didn't link di source people would be attacking you for that. But as others have said, even though you copy the person article and all what you have to do is to add up the link you bring the information and everything will be alright. When you write something that you are not the author then people would like to k ow where the information was gotten and if they could not see the source they would report your as a plagiarist. And to avoid that just quote the person or the source of the article then all is good.
Very good advice and this should be an important lesson for those who always quote other people's writings but don't include the sources they got. The method you provide should be an alternative for providing better information.

Yield of each halving era of BTC by profitability and size of corrections - profitability is decreasing, but drawdowns are also decreasing:

1. Profit +5315%, drawdown -85%
2. Profit +1336%, drawdown -83%
3. Profit +569%, drawdown -77%

P.S. There was one piece of positive news today:

A solo miner independently mined a block on the first cryptocurrency network and earned 3.4 BTC ($220,000).

Link https://mempool.space/block/0000000000000000000122d20c94bf71bba48531644412f98e05f3aca7167feb

Currently, it seems that bitcoin transaction costs using mempool have started to fall, it seems that the gas costs required are quite stable. This should make all transactions fairly fast when used.

Low Priority: 10 sat/vbyte
Medium Priority: 22 sat/vbyte
High Priority: 25 sat/vbyte

More like those bastards are out of the Blockchain with their jpeg for good. Bitcoin Dev really need to something about it unless they also benefit from the fees Spike cause by these jpeg bastards eating up the Blockchain block space.
Really those nonsense ordinals dey make the network congested. This recent transaction fee after the halving was really crazy high. In 2022 the second quarter, the transaction fee was very low. And I think like dis people can use it to buy things, pay things online and shops can also accept because the fee is low. The Blockchain de good now but still remain small.
It is possible that after the halving transaction costs increase very sharply, it may be difficult for miners to get new blocks so that confirmation takes a very long time. However, it seems that expensive transaction fees are no longer an important problem because as you said, bitcoin transaction fees have fallen quite cheaply.

yes, it's mandatory for crypto holder to check the price of their holdings. Specially for Bitcoin in the last week or so, we have seen swings, from $63k-$57k and now we are back at $63k again.

So from time to time, even if you are short or long term holder, you must check the price and see the current news that could have affected this price movement be it negative or positive news.
In fact, it's not as important as you think, because basically the price changes are not caused by your activity, but by market activity... Long term holders should not check prices too often because it could affect their emotions in holding... target Long-term investments are time-based, so you may only need to monitor prices if you have free time...

just knowing the price without taking action seems to happen more often to long-term holders.
