2018 is not a very prosperous year for cryptocurrency

Im hoping that 2018 will still a good year even the market is still down. So it is good to hold your coins and make an investment in bitcoin while the price is low, sothat when the market gets bullrun again it will have a good profit.

Yes, I agree with you. This year is the bad year for the cryptocurrency because all coins decreased too deep, and it seems; they are back to the first price before the last year. Perhaps, the whales take their part in this situations and make the price is down but the most reason why the price is down is that there are too many traders that is panic in the January in this year because they cannot hold the coin and get panic.

Hello Gastonic, first of all, 2018 has been unfavorable to cryptocurrency, though we still has some months left. I think that some of the reasons why there are up and down movements, are basically due to the market demand and supply principles. Other factors includes; market speculation, media influence etc.

Main while, there are thought from some quarters that the cryoto whales( ie those that had very large quantities of a coin) might have influence in determining the market prices. I think this may also determine the market conditions, however, the market is mostly determined by the demand and supply rules in my opinion. Thank you

Its too early to say such conclusion about bitcoin. We still have couple of months to wait and I think there's still a chance that the market will change and would go bullish. Everyone are expecting it to happen before this year ends.

look man, everyone is so jumpy about this subject and keeps asking for the same things all around the forum... please look at the charts and do a quick study... you can take for example ethereum chart and check the price in Feb 2017, and then you can look back to the same bull/bear cycles since years...
bear markets are necessary to kill some shit coins and for the whales to get profit and coin... then the bull comes
it is not a matter of "if" it is a matter or "when"
