In the last couple of weeks, we have been trying to find ways to improve the quality.
We do not want to associate ranking up with karma or merit or any metric other than posting ...
however, if you see the amount of shitty posts posted just for the sole purpose of ranking up or earning points, you would recommend that we do something about it, and many did, and so we acted.
1- Posts under a certain amount of words are no longer counted into the count post, as this forum grow older, this amount of words will be increased.
2- Quality Penalty: if we see people bumping posts, or using quote without any real content to contribute, we will analyze their posts, and will penalize them by reducing their post count and their points.
3- Points are no longer dependent of the amount of words in your post, you get a certain amount of points for new topics, and a lesser amount of points for replies. - Amount of points will vary with time.
4- Posting in non comprehensive english is discouraged, please post in your local section if your english is very bad.
5- Posting new topics with 1 or 2 words for a title > will result in negative karma
6- Posting links shortened are no longer allowed, please use full original links , this is a forum not twitter.
7- Posting referrals anywhere other than the referral section > negative karma + post deletion + penalty
8- Posting the exact same topic in more than 1 section not allowed > it is called spamming > we blacklist all sites doing that!

We need to know the specific number of words required. Also, what happens with plenty words which makes no sense? And with the topics, what if a member post a single or two words as title but able to give a comprehensive explanation at the message section?

that's correct, however, the moderators time is better spent in something other than policing this rule,
but when users are caught doing that, they get a big penalty > a combination of loss of points, loss of post count and lock of posts.

number of words required will change all the time, it will not be made known to avoid people trying to cheat the system.
if we catch people posting replies that make no sense, they get penalties : reduce points /post count / and other ...
Yes i noticed some people are putting 1-2 words for titles, this is discouraged and want this practice phased out,
this is a forum of discussion not a guessing game, "let's guess what this topic is about"
i might apply penalties if i find it necessary. i will also create section for price speculation, as a lot of posts are just to speculate price.
