Bitcoin Forum / Re: High fees is a never ending story?
« Last post by Mr. Magkaisa on Today at 05:50:15 PM »
         -   Maybe the issue like that will not disappear in the bitcoin network in terms of fees. It seems that when there is traffic, you can expect our heads to heat up; of course, the network is congested. Now, if we want our transaction to be completed immediately, it is up to us if we are willing to pay a high fee, depending on whether you are the high bidder.

But that being said, not every opportunity is always traffic, so if we are patient and can wait, let's just do this so that we can still take advantage of it. Instead of paying high fees to the miners, we don't have to.

There's no chance for FTX to rebuild again after what happened, even if they return the funds of their investors and even include interest. I don't think these investors will come back to trust FTX again; they've caused a lot of miseries to their users and they also create distrust and disruption in the industry.

Investors have learned a lot from their experience from FTX and there will neve be another chance.

It has been said officially

An FTX lawyer said during a Wednesday hearing that plans for a re-launch of the exchange won’t come to fruition.

There's no doubt about it. When collecting payments for what's owed to you, it's always good to get something than nothing. If creditors will be getting back 118% up to 142%, then that's certainly better.
But if Bitcoin goes to 30k, then there is nothing of that 142%  ???

I am quite suspicious when the debtor promises the possibility of even more than what is expected of him, while there is no question of the possible risk that there will be no return or possibly only a smaller percentage.

What do you think about crypto messaging apps? Can they really change the way we use digital assets, or are just there..
Not familiar of this kind of thing TBH. I did a quick search on what are these, and I believe that it will be one of the things that I will not touch at all... at least for now. :D
Anyway, who knows. They might become more popular in the future for whatever reason it is. One thing's for sure. Your assets will not be safe if you will put it there. Telegram launched their own wallet which for me, is a no-no.

You never really know what you'll get with Lewis that's why I try to avoid betting on him. Every fighter probably knows his weakness and has a way to beat him but everyone also knows they could get knockdown by his power (Nascimento found that out the hard way). I think he'll still be a gatekeeper for a couple of years. I don't think he'll win a belt but he's still a fan favorite.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Are Bitcoins a good investment?
« Last post by NotATether on Today at 05:39:25 PM »
Only long-term investors benefit the most, because whenever you invest in Bitcoin it must be long-term, if at all.  Short-term investing in Bitcoin carries the highest risk, as buying Bitcoin for a short period of time can cause the market to dump at any time.  That's why it's normal for that investor to experience losses at any time but whenever you invest in Bitcoin for two to three years or more, your logic will be much less and the benefits will be more.

You need to define long-term and short-term.

I consider long-term to just be a few years at least, like 3 or 4 years. You don't have to wait for decades like you do with these fiat stocks, bonds, treasuries, index funds and so on.

With people being more impatient than ever before though, most people can't even wait a few months before emptying their bags, so that's some real short-term loss.

I think things are very Clear , since Elon is a fan of Doge, it is very obvious that Doge can , for me it would be great if he put Bitcoin, but the bad thing About Musk is that he hasn't talked much about Bitcoin and that causes Rejection , only DOGE, and Doge's Biggest Pumps are thanks to him, because basically when things become clear for these things it is Doge who would be the closest coin to this.

We, as connoisseurs of Crypto for years, know that as long as Musk supports Doge, then Doge will have life, and that will be something that can generate more trust Among Doge Lovers.

Naw, they're not clear.

You probably know that Twitter handles all payments via Stripe.

Stripe, as I've covered earlier, does not offer customers the option to buy their products or subscriptions with crypto, especially not DOGE. And they have no intention of doing so in the near future

So the decision to integrate DOGE into Twitter is not even in Twitter's hands. It is strictly for Stripe to choose to do, unless Elon wants to use another payment gateway.

Technical Discussion / Re: How viable is PoW for new coin?
« Last post by NotATether on Today at 05:35:27 PM »
Just change the hashing algorithm for the new coin so that it is different from that of established coins. In other words you wouldn't want to do a sha256d and then someone who has racks upon racks of ASIC miners connects to your network and mines with all of them until the difficulty is so high that nobody can participate in it.

Solana Forum / Re: Are you stacking solana?
« Last post by NikeFit_7777 on Today at 05:33:31 PM »
Yes of course if one is not risk averse one should not invest in any cryptocurrency coin I believe in this statement. But when we invest in crypto here we are at risk but also when we are staking it will increase our risk a bit more. so one should decide whether to stake or not according to one's risk tolerance. Staking is profitable on the one hand and somewhat risky on the other.
That's right. First of all, you should realize that this is a high-risk asset. Today it is worth $200, and tomorrow it will be $100 - and that is quite normal. + don't forget that it's cryptocurrency regulation time. There is absolutely no guarantee that SEC will not be interested in sol.

P.S. If you invest, do it in small installments, so that you can average your position in this asset at any time.  8)
