Crypto Wallets / Re: Wasabi wallet shutting down Coinjoin
« on: Today at 12:03:54 AM »
Without some solution like that, I don't see a long term solution for coinjoin wallets.
What I was reading is they are trying to use Ring signature from monero and combine it with Coinjoin, that would eliminate all centralization with coinjoin coordinators.
Something similar like coinjoin already works fine inside wallet of other coins like BCH, with ElectrumCash wallet, but this would not work good in BTC because of much higher transaction fees.

USDT Forum / Re: USDT is now on TON blockchain!
« on: Today at 12:00:47 AM »
it must be very centralize sine your telegram wallet doesn't give you private keys or seen phrase. but one wallet they have such as tonkeeper provides priv key but i tried swapping in the wallet the USDT is still not available in their internal exchange.
So there is no way to export keys or backup Telegram wallet?  :o
I am trying to find more information about this wallet but it's not easy to find anything useful.

It must be custodial wallet, and all I found is this website:
https://wallet.helpscoutdocs.com/

You cannot change your wallet address in Wallet after creation.
:o

Wallet uses custodial storage. Therefore, you can neither add your own wallet to the service nor add your Wallet address to other services.

However, if you create a non-custodial wallet in TON Space, you can import it into another TON wallet, such as Tonkeeper.

Wallet accepts customers from numerous countries, continually expanding our reach. However, residents and citizens of the following jurisdictions are not eligible to use Wallet:

The United States of America (USA), Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, Haiti, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, Somalia, South Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Yemen, Cuba. Wallet also restricts access to residents or citizens of an unrecognized country or territory.

The Feds are not going to be going after mixer directories - for that to happen they would also have to seize this forum and the one on Bitcointalk too.
Someone is really scared about this possibility... so much that guy who created this mixhub.to website just deleted all posts from self-moderated topic he created.
I wouldn't be surprised if he deletes all his posts in bitcointak forum soon and asks theymos to ban his account.
Paranoia 101  :o

Crypto Wallets / Re: Phoenix Wallet another US ban?
« on: May 07, 2024, 11:50:24 PM »
in any case if they want to use phoenix just run it under tor (integrated) or use a router with tor transparently and then use a vpn
the problem is soon solved
It's not solved that easily because they can't download or update Phoenix wallets from official app stores, and there is a chance they could be consider criminals for doing that  8)
They could always compile app or download .apk for Android, but most people from US won't to that, and for iOS it's more complicated.
There is also a chance Phoenix developers could totally stop working on code...

Crypto Wallets / Re: Are you using Hardware Wallets?
« on: May 07, 2024, 11:40:16 PM »
It's hardware that I think is pretty good even though there are many other options but I don't think Trezor has any problems and it's a suggestion that many people recommend at a fairly affordable price even though there are other models with higher prices.
This is basic hardware wallet model and I would not recommend purchasing it in 2024, but it still works and getting updates, that is amazing since this is the first ever hardware wallet in the world.
I would recommend using Trezor wallet only with passphrases to increase security, as there is no secure element in Trezor One.
New model Trezor Safe 3 has secure element and bigger memory.

Crypto Exchanges / AgoraDesk - LocalMonero shutting down
« on: May 07, 2024, 11:26:11 PM »
After seven years of working as p2p exchanges Agoradesk and LocalMonero just announced they are shutting down starting from May 7 to November 7, 2024!
New accounts can't be created anymore, and new trades will only work for few more days, after that they will be disabled.
This is another big blow for non-kyc trading exchanges, but I believe people will find new ways to trade fully decentralized.

AFAIK there is a list of them here: https://mixhub.to/
Mixhub website appears to be down also, including their clearnet and onion version website.
I don't know exact date wen they shut it down and if this is connected in any way with recent events of several mixers gone missing.
Has anyone archived their website by any chance?

Reward received.
Thanks ;)

Wasabi's CoinJoin was going to be tainted anyway. If you remember the UTXO blacklisting nonsense that they announced two years ago, that got a lot of angry reactions, they never did end up implementing that.
It's interesting that Coinjoin volume is now biggest ever, everyone is trying to use very low coinjoin fees and grace period of one month.
Tainted is stupid concept and that existing would mean that Bitcoin is not fungible at all, like it or not, that is the fact.

I wonder when the court date for the Samourai developers will be though. They need legal support to win this otherwise they might become the next Ross Ulbricht.
It would be great for everyone (except government parasites) if they could win the case against them, but I don't believe regulators will allow that to happen.

Crypto Wallets / Re: Wasabi wallet shutting down Coinjoin

As reminder, JoinMarket still exist. But who knows if government aim joinmarket's developer or operator.
I know it exists but it is not as nearly popular as Coinjoin or other privacy options, but I would love to see some stats and comparison if possible.
Agencies are now targeting everyone who is offering better privacy, and they appear to rush things and prepare for some big changes in the world.

I guess even Trezor don't want take risk by running their own WabiSabi CoinJoin coordinator.
Yeah, it's domino effect now.
I saw initiative from someone to create decentralized coordinator system for Coinjoin, so let's see what happens with that.

But won't there be new innovations related to privacy,
because the US government always prohibits the level of privacy they can't control.
It's cat and mouse game, so yes I expect to see new innovations in privacy.
I think many people got lazy in last few years, and now they have fantastic motivation.

USDT Forum / Re: USDT is now on TON blockchain!
« on: May 06, 2024, 09:55:08 PM »
Wow, USDT has arrived on TON and is now accessible to hundreds of millions of potential users on Telegram. This can be considered a major success for Tether and USDT. TON, with its speed of over 100k tps, could be the platform that can support the cheapest trades on the market. I really hope that USDT on TON will soon replace TRC-20 USDT on Tron this cycle.
Real question is how much centralized this Ton blockchain...
It doesn't really matter if they have cheapest and and super fast million tps if everything is centralized and held in custodial wallets.
That is no different than fiat currencies, if not even worse, and it has no real decentralization that is much more important.
And I surely dont need any fake daaps on Ton  :P

Hello, yes this feature is planned for Mixero we will develop this as soon as possible. We will publish a message when this function is implemented.
Hey Mixero as you are active representative in this forum, I have few questions for you.
In light of recent vanishing of your several mixer competitors, are you doing something to improve security and protection of your services?
And do you plan to continue business as usual or you are going to make some changes in future?

13
Maybe the operators have been arrested or something and are unable to get in contact with Royse? Maybe arrested for something other than mixer being seized, maybe it's nothing at all. You'll all just have to wait for an announcement from them or the manager.
Trust me on this, if owners of this services was arrested it would already be everywhere in news and they would stick big warning message on their website.
That doesn't mean agencies didn't try to track, catch, arrest them and shut down their servers many times.
But If website is not working for days than it's not nothing  :P

A similar thing happens with the Unijoin mixer. The site is unavailable, as are other channels of communication. The manager just closed the campaign and removed the links to their services because he has no contact with the team.
Yes I saw it, and this two mixers have nothing in common, they even had different managers for campaign in forums.
I hope nobody lost coins when this happened.

Signature Campaigns / Re: Altcoinstalks Signature Campaign Observer
« on: May 06, 2024, 09:16:51 PM »
Very strange how two different mixers gone missing without a word in similar time, right after government officials started hunting privacy wallets and services.
I don't believe they turned scam or got scared because of this news but maybe they need time to move servers to different locations and increase security.

I hope  new campaigns shows up. Usually, when a mix dies 2 more show up
That was back in the old age.
We are now in brave new world where privacy is very risky.
I think everyone needs time to adjust to new market conditions.

Reputation, Scams & Phishing / What is going on with Tumbler Mixer?
« on: May 03, 2024, 06:18:03 PM »
Tumbler mixer website is not working both on clearnet and onion link.
I am trying to find more information what is happening with them, and this is what we know so far.
I would appreciate if you could add any missing information.

1. No communication with campaign manager for several months!
I know but the last time the team replied my message was a few months ago LOL

2. ANN topic in AltcoinsTalks forum was never created.

3. Issues with customer affiliate account, and we know time when outage happened
The reason why I said the timing was suspicious is not because of law enforcement but because I had wrote to them a few hours before the outage (that started yesterday) asking them to activate my affiliate account so that I could withdraw a large payout.
