Dear Altcointalks community,
I recently started researching in altcoin and I tried to figure out which other altcoin is more used in sending money online (I think a traded currency shows that the currency will resist in the future and will grow) and I came to the conclusion that Monero is that coin.
Why Monero? I think it's pretty simple, Monero because I saw that everyone from the dark web asks for payments in Monero, and this leads me to think that Monero would be a good investment now because from what I understand, even Bitcoin has first massively traded on the dark web, and Monero came as a more anonymous alternative to the dark web and so it replaced the bitcoin there.
So, as the title of this thread says: Is Monero a Good Investment?
I have presented my theory, but what do you think?
Please expose your opinion to help me in making the final decision whether to invest my money in Monero or not.

I'm not sure but I love how the lead Developer says that story often about how he lost all of his money and bitcoin in a tragic boating accident (to avoid taxes or whatever because its all in Monero).. this really makes me laugh so Monero is okay with me!

I'm just not sure that Monero has really the best privacy solutions for this space, but most would argue that Monero's tech is "good enough" for most use cases and is much more production ready than some of its competition... I'm really kind of at a toss up between whether I like Monero or the Zcoin/Zcash side of things, but I think there's room for all of them to have a market.

Yes, Monero is anonymous and a cheap transaction fee coin. But more importantly, most mining softwares, add-ons, extensions, website etc. mine Monero and then convert it to Bitcoins and other crypto currency . So in that way, it will always be in circulation and use. As far as how good investment it is, I think it might give you average returns, but don't expect any magic from it. Zcash, Dash etc. might give you better returns in the same category.

well, I don't think that any theory or coin that aims only for the dark web can have a very bright future, because if you think about the global adoption that will come in a near future, not only the dark web will represent a small fraction, but will also have problems concerning regulations...
nevertheless, in my oppinion, monero is the best privacy coin, and we are all entitled to our privacy (although only a few of us know what this really means)... so if we expect for global adoption, we also have to expect that people learn how to protect their privacy (and this does not necessarily mean they are doing bad things), and in consequence we can expect that monero will be among the top coins...
but regulators will fight it... ;D

Sure, but you have to remember that it's good to observe the price changes in the longer perspective. The daily changes will tell you something about the coin but not everything. I recently started researching in altcoin and I tried to figure out which other altcoin is more used in sending money online (I think a traded currency shows that the currency will resist in the future and will grow) and I came to the conclusion that Monero is that coin.
Why Monero? I think it's pretty simple, Monero because I saw that everyone from the dark web asks for payments in Monero, and this leads me to think that Monero would be a good investment now because from what I understand, even Bitcoin has first massively traded on the dark web, and Monero came as a more anonymous alternative to the dark web and so it replaced the bitcoin there.
So, as the title of this thread says: Is Monero a Good Investment?
I have presented my theory, but what do you think?
Please expose your opinion to help me in making the final decision whether to invest my money in Monero or not.
