Influence of the forum.

I have had some little interests in altcoins for a very long time and I cannot say it is because of any negative experience I've had but because I have really never paid attention to them and my attention has been mostly on only Bitcoin. Since I have been in this forum, it has not lessened my interest in bitcoins, but makes me also want to consider investing in some altcoins too.

 Who else has had themselves influenced to want to invest in some few altcoins since joining this forum?

Well, not same for me, since I've had good interest in Altcoins right from the very first day I got into crypto, in fact, I didn't know anything about bitcoin when I invested in my first Altcoin, ico to be precised, it was after the ico turned out to be a scam and we all that invested lost our money, that I decided to dive deeper into what crypto currencies are actually, this was when I discovered bitcoin, and looking at the price of bitcoin back then,  and comparing it to the price of some major altcoins, and also my financial situation at the time, I felt bitcoin was already too expensive to invest in (one of the biggest mistake of my life in crypto), so, I continued to pay more attention to Altcoins because I believed they would also grow to reach the price of bitcoin (my newbie mentality), I lost a good sum of money on altcoins way back then in 2016/2017, but thank goodness one later on; paid off, I made like $5000 from that Altcoin investment which automatically paid me back all I previously lost, and also gave me a huge financial boost, I was able to resign from my 6 am to 7 pm Job, started my own business and became my own boss.

Till date, I still have big interests in investing in Altcoins, but I've also learnt to keep a better percentage of my crypto portfolio in bitcoin, because bitcoin is actually the coin that moves the entire crypto market.

When I learned about the crypto market in 2012, I was only interested in BTC, but it wasn't until 2017 that I started to get interested in ALTS because of the ICO wave boom, not because of any crypto forums, including BitcoinTalk or AltcoinsTalks. I think most investors are also interested in ALTS because of the impressive growth and huge profits they can bring in a bullrun, for example AXS had 1000x profit in the 2021 bullrun, which BTC is unlikely to do because BTC cap is quite large. However, I also think that a reasonable crypto portfolio is one that has over 50% in BTC.

The first time I was introduced to Cryptocurrency I became interested in altcoins besides Bitcoin, the market aggregator shows that there are a lot of altcoins with profit potential, if you're an investor and a trader you'll know what altcoins are worth investing in in, you just can't ignore these altcoins so many investors made a lot of money investing in altcoins than Bitcoin.

But one of the risks in investing in altcoins so many of them are pump-and-dump and some deceptive developers just hype their project and then eventually do an exit scam.

Ever since I was introduced into crypto I maximized and grab opportunities brought to us by Bitcoin and Altcoins though I knew Bitcoin at first and then followed by Altcoins which is another way to diversify our investments. Some investors might say that since they are way too late from Bitcoin they are exploring Altcoins amd made millions from it so yeah it always depends on us whether we go all into Altcoins or Bitcoin or even go both and what is important here is that we are happy with our choice.

That's a good influence but in my case, I have invested in many good altcoins even before joining this forum. I'm trader as well and that's why I have to sometimes trade altcoins and for that I need to do some research about the altcoins that I trade in order to be protected from scams, rug-pulls, pump and dump coins.

When my research is done about some particular altcoins and I see potential in it then I invest around 1% to 10% of my monthly earnings into that coin/token. Most of the times, I have made much higher profits in altcoins then in Bitcoin but still I would say that Bitcoin is the best choice if you want to invest huge capital because altcoins are quite risky and can lose their value anytime.

Altcoins always caught my attention due to its incredibly high volatility and gains.
I bought many different altcoins over the last years, lost some money and made some.

There are a few ones which caught more of my attention due to its technology,  like ethereum and chain link.

Stablecoins are also amazing , because they are very handy.

sometimes its tempting to throw away few hundreds when you see people showing off how much money they gained after investing on new memecoins, its somehow luring when they turned $50 to $1000. its all up to you whether you are influenced or not.

you already have BTC, no doubt its the best investment we have. we all do have BTC but the side of me being a short term investor would go try out some just to see whether i can ride the wave thinking how big can i make?

The forum is a great community for people who want to get involved in crypto, especially altcoins, if the forum influences people to get more involved in altcoins and to learn more about them, then that is fine. But it is still worth mentioning that so many altcoins are risky and people should be careful, however if you can get one that is useful and not a scam, then you can buy and use them.

It is okay if you want to invest into altcoins. The profitability is there really and that can't be ignored. Me, if I've got bunch of spare money, I'd scatter it but still I'll buy bitcoins. The influence of forum is there but at the end of the day, it is your money to play with on this highly volatile market. Just DYOR and you can do the rest depending on how it's going and what you want to invest since you've got secured with  your bitcoin holdings already.

I haven't had that pleasure yet, because I have been burned by a lot of projects before. However, this is of course not for top ranked stuff, like I always liked ETH and BNB and ADA and LTC for example, which is still going strong and I am not saying I dislike them. I meant mostly the new projects that pops up, sure they are doing airdrops and bounties and all that but that doesn't mean that we are going to have anything troubled in the end, it has to be something that will change a bit. I believe that we are going to face some more of them with this new bull run, and it will annoy us that most of them will fail.

Ever since I learned about crypto investment to be one to change people's financial stories, I haven't for one's stopped to invest in bitcoin and some other altcoins. Most of my investments made in crypto are all influenced by what I have had people say about making thousands of dollars by investing in Bitcoin and altcoin against the bull run. However, I had to join them on that angle so that I wouldn't miss the financial freedom crypto brings to her investors. It is better to a risks than not taking at all. Nobody knows where their breakthrough would come from.

I myself prefer the speculation section for coins that have been launched, not the coin sales period. Trading can be a solution to making money nowadays, so this opportunity is of course wide open for anyone depending on their individual risk profile.

In this forum we can see promotions as referred to in the topic, but the decision to buy these coins or tokens is in our hands. So, I personally prefer to buy strong coins based on speculation and discussion on this forum... the information here is quite valuable in my opinion.

Bitcoin is good for long term investment no doubt about that. In the event of altcoins in my years of crypto i also recognize the importance and value of an altcoin, not to mention the trending altcoins that have ecosystems in their platform. I think everyone can consider investing in alcoins too.

If society influences your investment decisions, the final outcome will inevitably be bad, so keep your friends’ opinions and feelings away when you want to trade.

Investing in Bitcoin is good for the long term, and almost only Bitcoin has the chance of making a profit with very low risks if invested in the long term, while investing in altcoins is considered somewhat risky.
Therefore, if you are a trader or short-term investor, you can invest in Ethereum, Matic (Polygon,) and some second-layer tokens, but it is always better to DYOR and look for reasons to invest, such as technical analysis, news, and other things that support your investment strategy.
