With the "bearish" mood of the Bitcoin market right now just around two weeks after the halving, many are really wondering where is the direction the King of Cryptos can be taking us and whether we can soon see the impact and benefits of the halving come to the market so we can experience a new bull run either this year or 2025. Now, we know that halving will not immediately make Bitcoin a very attractive asset again...and surely this can be taking some months.

According to Bitfinex market report: "Bitcoin could experience up to two months of price consolidation following the halving.
Bitcoin could continue to be the price action benchmark for the crypto market in May and the leading indicator for the entire cryptocurrency market cap. In addition, the macroeconomic environment is more resilient than in previous years and the likelihood of rate cuts remains low in the short term."

In case this analysis can be true, then it would be good to just continually hodl and wait as this is not a question of IF but of WHEN. This can be the best time to exercise caution and not be swayed by temporary movements of the market and look for the long-term prospect of Bitcoin.

Or we could jump up to 111k by June 1

Don't lock into short term. move to 2025 and beyond

yeah we are all a bit depressed at the moment.

i got some dip and I will hodl on for now.
Currently the price of bitcoin is still hovering around $64k, it seems very difficult for the price to increase to the figure that many people expect. There has to be good news that can trigger whales to buy bitcoin.
If you look at the current market conditions it will make you short of breath, market conditions have collapsed again, Bitcoin is back below $60k. Hopefully market conditions will recover quickly and prices will increase again, we have all been waiting for the altcoin season to happen again for a long time.
On the time that we do have those breakouts then it would really be just that normal that there would really be those impressions that it might really be seeing or touching 80k so easily or even thinking that 100k is really within reach on which this is really that a common human being behavior or kind of mindset on the time that we would really be seeing those numbers without even
trying out to realize that we are in a dynamic and volatile market on which price corrections would really be that always in line or simply this wont really be a smooth sail ride on where
some of people really been thinking off.

or a hard crash into the 40's could be what is next. not a spike to 111k

I continue to stack my btc. Hoping for a strong run in the fall.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Gas fee on ethereum
« on: May 09, 2024, 03:16:33 PM »
I was about to do a transaction and the gas fee was very high! Any advice on how to get the lowest gas fees? I have looked at the heatmap, and I can see that at certain times and days, it's a bit lower. Any advice for a newbie?
Thanks!!

The best advice for a beginner is simply not to use this blockchain for normal purposes (transfer money from point a to point b)
All cryptans use it only for the most extreme situations and very rarely, it seems to exist (the ether network) and it doesn’t exist because no one wants to look and guess the cost of transactions.

Yep eth is not good for movement of coins and or tokens. Solana is far cheaper.

We are watching the beginning of eth dying off due to its excessive fee issues.

Solana Forum / Re: Are you stacking solana?
« on: May 08, 2024, 08:04:22 PM »
I will add some Solana as I am stacking it.

6
To the op eth is a poor choice of coin to be involved in. I hold no eth and won't hold eth

7
IT IS May so I am locking thread.

If I could simply find a space for my L7 and pay just 5 cents a kwatt Iw would be happy.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: ATH of bitcoin 2025 ??
« on: May 08, 2024, 02:45:12 AM »
Bitcoin will touch what price at ATH 2025.
By looking at Bitcoin's movement during the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, can we predict what price Bitcoin will touch ATH?
By seeing at the chart on coingecko and CMC, it seems that bitcoin will touch more than 100K USD.
After the ETF was approved, bitcoin fell..
What happened ??
But for now, bitcoin increase again.

well I for one would like to know the highest number for all of 2025 and the exact day it happens. Then I could sell all my btc and buy it back cheaper.

So I will guess $123,456.78 on 03/03/2025 is the peak number for all of 2025 and the peak day

Many people investing are all or nothing.

Rather than 10 investments 10% each so that a drop is not fatal.

Instead  many are 100% in one investment and over there head.

The ones in over their head are likely sell on a dip.

I won’t argue, but all my friends don’t do this. Perhaps your circle of acquaintances is precisely the kind of people who invest simply without thinking about where they invest and how to do it, so you claim that the majority do just that.

Many does not mean the majority.  It is subjective term.  I would venture to say that at least 50000 people in the world are over invested in crypto and they will tend to be the panic sellers.

XRP - Ripple Forum / Re: What is your ripple status for 2024.
« on: May 07, 2024, 10:50:56 PM »
I also had some coins dumped from bullish era last season.
And, I also added some XRPs again several months ago, and now, they are dumped again.
Should I add more XRP again to wait it dumped again?
OMG, I don't know why but I'm still planning to add more XRP while I'm actually quite doubtful if this coin will rise up again or not,  or at least reaching the previous ATH. Poor of me.  ;D ;D

once a coin gets you down it is tough to decide what to do. I hope you guess correctly and do what is best for you.

In fact, it is much broader than the Musk project.

It has always been!
Because basically, Dogecoin has its own characteristics to be used as a transaction tool, one of them. and also as a meme coin which is the most important and trendsetter.

Dogecoin has all the characteristics of Bitcoin except the supply change, which is an infinitesimal increase compared to all the coins already minted.
Completely different for other meme coins doge has 99% usage and 1% things about meme, the other coins are all about trends, they have zero whatsoever daily life use, dogecoin is accepted everywhere and nobody laughs at getting paid in doge. Do that with puppydogmilkconfetti token!

That's right, Doge is very special because Doge is the pioneer of all the meme coins that currently exist. Imagine that previously Dogecoin didn't have many fans until Elon Musk started giving full support to Dogecoin and made the price rise to very expensive.

Not true!
Musk's first tweet about dogecoin was in 2019, dogecoin has always been a top 20 coins even before that:

Still mining it. I think it is the best coin for long term mining.

Crypto currency Mining / Will gpu mining get good this year?
« on: May 07, 2024, 02:12:40 AM »
I think gpu mining will get good again. So I picked 20 cent power cost will work for gpu miners.

So my buy is up to 64k it averaged around 57-58 k

not bad.

Maybe we push over 65k today.
It seems from coinmarketcap data that today Bitcoin managed to penetrate the sell order wall at $65k until finally a few minutes later the price fell again slowly to the current market conditions.

So we do have that $65k resistance. If we do able to break this resistance then we would be seeing 70k on fast manner but it seems that it would be taking a while if these corrections or rejections would happen. This is why for those who do love to play with these movements then they are really that indeed making money as of this moment. You would really be having these kind of impressions that this might be different but actually this is just an ordinary day here on crypto space. Bull run the shortest? We arent that even still on that condition yet.
We are really that still starting.  ;D

Well we are hanging in there. I sold off the coin purchased at 56.9 57.6 57.5 at 64646 frees up cash for a dip and ir is a profit.

2 years ago I sold a lot of btc at a loss just to have a write off for future mining earnings.

So I am in a no tax capital gain for about 35000 usd.

15
If you taken the mining gear out and just count the coins  under 5percent

This is very small. Especially for you that has been around  the forum for so long.
You basically sold everything along the years?

Yep I mined sold for profit and lived a slightly better life style.
I was a lot older already semi retired in 2012 and my wife was fully retired.

I could have done way way way better just doing a signature and holding the coins from that.

I choose to mine and sell which let me always make some money.  So the small amount of coin I hodl is a hedge against my wife's larger 401k in fed bonds.
