I don't think so. But if they make a good progress or more good feature than Ripple have right now maybe sometimes it will go to next coin.

But at the moment it still hard to surpass ETH with their smart contract feature. Cause a lot of altcoins already adopt ETH as their platform. Meanwhile the ripple only focus on the banking institute.

Ripple has actually has that potentials to boast of like the strengths of the protocol, including its high scalability, transaction speeds, and low costs. It is actually a good coin. But i think Ripple has to wait for quite some time more to be considered as the next best coin.
