The price of petroleum will reduce only if, the government will put a good policy on ground in the oil and gas sector and in making sure our domestic refineries are working in full capacity, and to build more refineries in the country. competition among oil companies can help reduce the price of petrol, and a good transportation and distribution system can help reduce the price of petrol in Nigeria.

The price of fuel and Petro can only reduce if the government see reason to provide the necessary capacity and more tool in the country. To help facilitate and add a good policy on the oil and gas sectors and among other oil companies. The government need to focus providing the raw materials and equipment needed to carry out some process so we don't need to export and import before we can use our materials.

that's true, more of the tools needed to provided by the government are modular refinery and have good manpower, that will be trained to operate the modular refinery.

Which we definitely know that they are not ready to do. Rather, they're looking at those things that are irrelevant

I think bringing back the fuel subsidy can help too. I thought that Dangote`s refinery would help with the issue of petroleum in the country but I must say I haven`t seen any impact of Dangote`s refinery on the oil and gas sector.

Prove of petrol will reduce once and for all of only the government lay strict policies concerning the price and also make provisions for equipment and tools that refineries can be able to use...

The price of petrol can reduce in Nigeria, if only government can give steady power supply to the country, so that citizens will no longer depend majorly on petrol for power supply. In that way the need for petrol will be limited, because it is only the rich and business people that have cars. Nigeria refineries should also be repaired so that there will be no need to import crude oil for refining, and bringing back into the country.

To order Dangote not to export the fuel has produced to other countries and to tell the marketers to sell fuel below. And the law enforcement agencies should stand strong on ground because we are to report any fuel station that is not obey the regulations but the same law enforcement agencies will take bribe from the stations and leave the filling station managers to sell the way they want and not the government price again. Our problem in this country is the lawyers and the police and if really these two agencies were working well for the Nigerians then we would have seen a good Nigeria. But they are corrupt to the core so the system is not moving further.

Even if the government put a policy do you think it will be more effective? because past news government has announced the reduction in petrol price and still yet nothing has changed

to me I feel the issue is that the refineries are not in great condition how can you refine crude oil when the refinery are not in optimal state for example Nigeria has 4 refinery but are in moribund state that is not functioning properly, i think we still import crude oil. if you look at all this factors tell me why will the cost of fuel not increase.

first of all i think the ways we can reduce the cost of fuel is to make the refineries function properly, build more refineries, and create a committee that will monitor the price of fuel

The oil and gas sector is a wetland for those in the highest positions mate, those who are rich will remain rich, but for people like us who will become increasingly oppressed, they are very thirsty for power in the oil and gas mining sector. It's true, the price of petrol for our country should be able to go down, even if it's just a few percent, that's enough for us. I don't think the government can do this easily, maybe there are agreements or consequences that only the government knows about.
