Well if that's your choice you can go ahead and invest in gold since you find it less risky than bitcoin, but don't forget that only risk takers earn more, imagine if you risked that $500 and bought bitcoin when the price flash crashed during March do you know your profit would have been x10 of what you originally invested? I don't know about you but bitcoin seems like a more profitable investment.
