Which is better for a long-term investment now - Ethereum or Bitcoin?

Both of these coins are very promising. I think that the eth can give a greater percentage of growth than Bitcoin. But maybe die in a few years. Crypto currency is very unpredictable

I think ethereum is the best option for long term investment judging from its expansion and growth it probably won't die off anytime soon

I think Ether is good for long term hodl since you can buy today relatively lot cheaper price than bitcoin and it has a lot of potential to go up. But mid term hold I would go for bitcoin as recently it gained a lot compared to ether

Ethereum is way cheaper but it has been sitting there doing nothing for 6 months. Some say it will explode in 2018 but you never know. After all, bitcoin cash was sitting there for a long time as well.

I personally would vote for either litecoin or dogecoin for long term investments. But you can also put some in eth. But btc hey the fee is stinky!

In my opinion, I agree with everyone who says Ethereum, but Bitcoin in many countries is worth more than one land (legal ownership of the "land" government).
I recommend investing in Bitcoin, your fortune is guaranteed with it.

IMO its BTC because BTC has better volume and people know BTC more than ETH

The only rival to btc is ethereum. I just wish it moved already! I believe some say it will go up to 1000 USD soon, it cannot be soon enough :)

I'm not especially a big fan of Ethereum but I think ETH has a good potential to keep growing. And I'm not the only one to think that, look at the market cap.

For me I’ll say go long-term for both! Also acquire while they’re still cheap and readily available! Soon They’ll be really scarce and greatly needed

Ethereum is already 418 USD and it looks like the bulls are driving it. In terms of BTC, it is gonna go sideways for a while because the volume is low. ETH is about 0.05 btc for now, it should go above and beyond 0.07

I don't consider that as a problem. You will get profit no matter what if you invest ::)

If ETH reaches the value of $1000 by the end of 2017 you can see that it has the potential for any long term investment to double its profit. And it the value of ETH rapidly increases then there's aready a serious rivalry between ETH and Bitcoin. Long term investment for both coins I think would be a good idea.

for me investing in bitcoin is more profitable

ETH, It doesnt have the problems associated with Bitcoin. Its developer team is more active than Bitcoin.
Above all, the number of projects being launched on ETH blockchain are humongous. THe sheer number of smart contract being made on Eth, justifies its price and usage unlike bitcoin which is called just a store of wealth (which get replaced by something else if they dont improve their tech)
ETH is not without issues, but at least their dev are making constant and visible efforts to mend it.

I'm wondering if ETH is going to take a little dip before I buy in. I guess there really is no way of knowing.

I believe BTC will move more towards an asset and ETH more towards shars in a facilitating network (simplifying here) so both are valid investments depending on your overall investment strategy and horizon.

I think it would be wise to lay down in bitcoin and eperium. I think gradually these coins will show themselves. And also need to consider other altcoins)))) Dogs for example and reply not too bad to show!!! :)

For me bitcoin does not have a future, so the answer is obvious - ethereum.

Well based on my own perspective, I think both coins are full of prospect, but I will like to consider ethereum better for a long term investment. Investment on bitcoin is like burning one's fingers..... extreme caution is required in this respect.
