Hi everyone, I am the community manager for PPIO. I'm just stopping by to introduce a project that I'm proud to be part of.
Has anyone here had problems with current centralized cloud storage platforms like AWS or Dropbox? Considering issues they have had with data breaches, and sensing the huge potential of blockchain technology for privacy, we're throwing our hand in and creating a decentralized cloud storage platform. In short, we're tapping into the sharing economy of P2P systems and are combining it with blockchain-based incentives to make use of the vast amount of unused bandwidth and storage resources.
Some of you might be familiar with other decentralized cloud storage projects, however, we believe we're different from our competitors with the same vision of a decentralized future through the details - whether it's our consensus mechanisms, blockchain architecture, matching market models, our approach to decentralization, and all the other awesome technical stuff. We've detailed them in our white paper.
In terms of where we are at, in less than a year we've launched our demo app and CLI/SDK with more to come. We have no plans to ICO at the current point in time though you can get some early tokens if you drop by our community Discord channel. Be sure to say hi.
I'll be hanging out in this forum so if you have any questions, please shoot them my way. Looking forward to chatting with you all.
