Maybe there is no "best" altcoin... only if someone would habe a crystal ball ;D
Besides, alts aim to different markets and different uses, so it depends... also, there is the matter of risk vs reward, in which higher ranking coins offer less risk with less potential reward, and smaller projects offer higher risk with higher reward... need to balance these two
ETH maybe a good bet as it is remaining at a relative low level and it is one of the giants, although there are doubts hanging about it's future
Also like TRON and LTC
but there are a ton of potential great investments on top-50
On the lower caps, I tend to look for solid teams, working products, liquidity, market... in the end looking to reduce the risk and keep the high reward... VLS with decentralised VPN and Veil, offering a 2nd generation privacy coin are two of the best in my selection.
Veil is especially undervalued in my oppinion as these guys are attacking an established crypto market of high value privacy coins and they are way more solid in terms of tech...
