Most reports point to more than 80-90% scam or failure, why does anyone consider exposing it's investments to such risk? There are a lot of options on crypto-space that do not ask you for your money in advance and offer you a working product backed up by a solid structure and a competent, proven team... you just have to search and search some more...
One of my favourites is Veil, that is aiming at the privacy coin market. They combine two of the most proven privacy techs (Zerocoin and RingCT) into one bullet proof product. No ICO, no premine, and a more than proven team... and these guys don't just put their faces in there, they have updates, news, exchanges, etc always something happening.
