Title: Do you think cryptos are for tax evasion?
Post by: troll on November 17, 2017, 09:02:09 AM
I hear this a lot ... what do you think ?
It is easy for governments to know how much you have
All they need is your crypto address, that I'm sure exchanges will gladly provide.
What do you think ?

I agree with you that it would be hard. The governments cannot control exchanges in other countries though, that's why they are afraid. Besides, people can always take it from the exchange to different addresses but of course, when they are going to get it to a bank, it has to go to an exchange, so no, it is not a good thing for tax evasion.

Well, you can move your stuff around the wallets, but whereever they end up, everything is on the public ledger :)
